I was cancer free for five years, and seeing Dr. Sawheny for follow ups every 3 to 6 months, he never ordered one CT scan in the five years and during my 2 minute visits, he would always say "it's not coming back" I believed him. In 2020 my tumor markers went way up which he never addressed. I found a new oncologist and found out I had stage 4 metastasized duodenal cancer. However, the clinic continues to over schedule her and the waits are interminable and offensive. An hour and a half is standard! I understand that people with cancer have last minute needs, but my other physicians leave appointments open for that purpose, and don't make their regular patients waste their days waiting.
