Yes, I had to wait a little (as expected), but it was worth it. Rosa, my phlebotomist, was extremely quick, professional, and kind. I'm so thankful for her and the whole Burbank Alameda team--they made the experience smooth and stress-free! Oh, and just a tip--there isn't any front desk staff here. Instead, there are three kiosks where you simply scan your driver's license and upload your insurance. It was extremely easy and made the check-in process very straightforward.

The people who own Quest must be wildly out of touch to think that this kind of dysfunction is appropriate. Here are a few survival tips: 1. Make an appointment. That way you might only maybe wait 1-2 hours. Yes, seriously. 2. Get up and stretch every half hour or your back will ache like hell. 3. Bring water. Whatever you do, do NOT get up and leave to get water and return in 5 minutes because if inexplicably call your name while you're not in the room, you will lose your place in line and .... they.... do ... not ..... care. 4. Bring snacks or be prepared for your blood sugar to take dive in about hour 3 of the marathon wait. 5. Be nice to the poor, overworked, abused staff who are getting hit from all sides. That is if you actually see them. The "reception" desk is closed and you handle checkin courtesy of some ipad looking things at the front. All jokes aside, this is NOT how healthCARE should be. It is so incredibly sad that Quest thinks that their patients have NOTHING BETTER to do and have no concept of CARING for their patients - most of whom are sick, and some are scared and stressed and Quest just adds to the misery. It's shocking they would let a company function like this. Saying that, the staff did their best and with such a horrible working environment, I'm impressed with their decorum. I want to make it crystal clear that the person who took my blood was friendly and efficient. The woman who came out about every 20-30 minutes to explain to everyone they would be there for hours was pleasant enough. It's the whole concept of Quest's customer service that needs a full blown overhaul, not the people. They were doing the best they could under pretty tough circumstances. THIS PLACE IS REALLY OUT OF SYNC WITH THE NOTION OF CARING FOR THEIR PATIENTS. SAD!

I went in for blood work and it seemed like they were under staffed. There were about 5 people ahead of me and I had a reservation for 11am. I arrived about 1015am and was seen not too long after. This location isnt my normal one. This was the only one that had availability for the time frame that I needed. As soon as I got situated in the station, they had me verify my information and they were quick to draw my blood. She was nice and apologized for the wait.

What made the experience worse was the Filipina woman at the front desk, who came across as dismissive and unconcerned about how long everyone had been waiting. I understand the employees may be overwhelmed because of the staffing situation, but patients still deserve basic communication and courtesy. Labcorp needs to provide adequate staffing at this Burbank location. Having this many people waiting with only two employees is unacceptable and creates an unnecessarily frustrating experience for patients.

Nothing major or serious, just need to do blood count/drawn to maintain good health. Especially when you get to be a certain age. Yesterday, I went in at 4pm knowing that the last blood drawn was at 4:30pm and 30 minutes before their closing time. Whenever I have gone to this facility, I have NEVER had any bad, problems or issues with the staff. Whether it was dropping off a sample of urine/stool or drawing blood. Rosario drew my blood in less than 60 seconds. They are quick to admit, sign up is fast, quick like a morning/evening breeze, staff are very friendly, professional and helpful. By the time you want to sit down, they already text you and call your name to go in and get the work done. No complaints whatsoever. Bonus: close to my home!:-) Lab is BIG, CLEAN, with nice large windows and very bright inside. They are also quick to update your my chart/file by submitting your information on line. As we all know, certain responsibilities come with it. I need to pay $30 out of pocket for my copay. The remaining balance is handled by my insurance company. They have 2 bathrooms for men and for women with two stalls. Clean and sanitized. Underground parking with plenty of spaces and 2 elevators. That's all for now until my next visit. In fact, unless you get extremely lucky, you'll be in for a 60-90 minute wait, even if you show up by 7:30 am. Rang and rang the doorbell and eventually a woman came out to the street and told me the person who draws blood had gone home for the day. I asked what the deal was since I had been told the day before they were open until 4 PM - - I asked do they just draw blood when they feel like it? - - Did the person who draws blood just go home because she felt like it? The woman who had come out to talk to me was upset and apologetic but said basically yes, they just go home if they feel like it. No way to do business. Don't waste your time coming here.

But no one brought me back for testing for about 45 minutes. Never have I felt so attended to without actually getting the attention I needed! I have had trouble in the past with people finding a vein to draw blood from, which I mentioned to the lady who called me back. Her name was Erica and I would highly recommend her to anyone. It was painless and she's the first one in years who didn't treat me like a pin cushion. It was over before I knew it.
