The staff, nurses and doctor are all very personable and professional and don't give you any run arounds. They did offer more services here, but have sort of revamped to a testing/treatment only center as a lot of free clinics have in the past year or so. You'll get your results emailed and posted on their healthcare sight for your eyes and your physician's only through your account upon signing up. If you have an appointment arrive early and you'll be out in no time especially on a slower day, which varies week to week. If you walk-in and can't be seen right away, they can try to fit you in later in the day or hopefully schedule something in the same week. Your first visit you'll encounter some invasive questions about your personal, psychological and sexual life, which is very standard. Always try to be open and upfront as possibly especially if you're nervous so they can help better assist you and vice versa. Sex is nothing to be ashamed of and knowing you status is one of the most responsible thing you can do. You're in good hand here.

Yes, I had to wait a little (as expected), but it was worth it. Rosa, my phlebotomist, was extremely quick, professional, and kind. I'm so thankful for her and the whole Burbank Alameda team--they made the experience smooth and stress-free! Oh, and just a tip--there isn't any front desk staff here. Instead, there are three kiosks where you simply scan your driver's license and upload your insurance. It was extremely easy and made the check-in process very straightforward.

If you have an extra hour or two (or four, five or six!) to get a 5-minute blood draw procedure…read morethen Quest is the place for you! The wait times are simply UNBELIEVABLE. The people who own Quest must be wildly out of touch to think that this kind of dysfunction is appropriate. Here are a few survival tips: 1. Make an appointment. That way you might only maybe wait 1-2 hours. Yes, seriously. 2. Get up and stretch every half hour or your back will ache like hell. 3. Bring water. Whatever you do, do NOT get up and leave to get water and return in 5 minutes because if inexplicably call your name while you're not in the room, you will lose your place in line and .... they.... do ... not ..... care. 4. Bring snacks or be prepared for your blood sugar to take dive in about hour 3 of the marathon wait. 5. Be nice to the poor, overworked, abused staff who are getting hit from all sides. That is if you actually see them. The "reception" desk is closed and you handle checkin courtesy of some ipad looking things at the front. All jokes aside, this is NOT how healthCARE should be. It is so incredibly sad that Quest thinks that their patients have NOTHING BETTER to do and have no concept of CARING for their patients - most of whom are sick, and some are scared and stressed and Quest just adds to the misery. It's shocking they would let a company function like this. Saying that, the staff did their best and with such a horrible working environment, I'm impressed with their decorum. I want to make it crystal clear that the person who took my blood was friendly and efficient. The woman who came out about every 20-30 minutes to explain to everyone they would be there for hours was pleasant enough. It's the whole concept of Quest's customer service that needs a full blown overhaul, not the people. They were doing the best they could under pretty tough circumstances. THIS PLACE IS REALLY OUT OF SYNC WITH THE NOTION OF CARING FOR THEIR PATIENTS. SAD!

Quest has eliminated a proper reception desk, which forces patients who are dropping off test…read morespecimens or paperwork to wait on line. What should be a simple drop off is now a 45-60 wait, as a "walk-in". This is not efficient for the paying customers, and exploits sick people in need for business profits. Why treat people like this? To save money paying for a reception? Treating patients as employees? Patients don't work for you, Quest. You make money off of us, that isn't good enough for you?? You put your clinicians into the awful position of exercising this cruel treatment on regular people. How do they feel about this exploitation? This is not how business works. You offer a service that expects specimen drop off, it is unacceptable to demand patients wait as a "walk-in" "appointment". Drop offs are NOT appointments. And your sick patients are not yours to expect to do your work for you or wait until you find time between other sick patients. Doctors send you business. Behave like you deserve to earn it, Quest.

Quest Diagnostics - I'm not sure if it's an unusual thing to have the urine cups on display from a previous patient but I did not like that lol

Found this location on County's website for free COVID test…read more Few important tips: (1) It is located at Lankershim & La Maida St. Right next to Starbucks. (2) Need to call them to make an appointment! Sometimes they don't take walk-up. (3) Wait in the car only. The line is on La Maida St. (4) I did the Rapid test. The result is ready within an hour. They will send you notification via text & email. Yes, there was a long wait in line (50 minutes for me) but at least I was in my car waiting comfortably. First, one staff would do the check in & take picture of my ID. Then different staff would do the test which only took about a few seconds.

TLDR: Only dependable covid testing in town but also is an egregious and obscene cash grab by this…read moreso-called professional. Dr. Geoffrey Trenkle is a shame to Osteopathic medicine and a carpet bagger. DETAILS: This company unfortunately is the only reliable covid testing drive-up still around. "Unfortunate" because the operation, owned by Dr. Geoffrey B. Trenkle, has added a ton of upselling to bill patients and insurance companies. I recommend the IRS investigate because where there's smoke, there's fire. When you arrive, a rep will ask you all the same questions you submitted online. I doubt it's for verification --it seems like a waste of time. Then, the rep FORCES you to have a "telemedicine visit" with a physicians assistant. There's no medical or legal reason for this. The PA is outsourced to a low cost-of-living country, and they ask you the same exact questions you already told the person in front of you, and the form you completed online. This time I wanted covid PCR and was upsold to full respiratory panel. The blue coat said it was their "requirement". Despite that, the PA I was forced to talk to didn't approve the additional tests. So much for their requirements. Every time I've made an appt since they've been in business, they offer even more health tests. Perhaps the testing is legit however I have little faith in a medical provider who offers every possible test they can swab your face for. Drug testing, genetic testing, "men's health", contraception, whatever they can dole out through a car window. One of the absolute worst experiences I've ever had as a patient (and I've had a lot) is at Dr Trenkle's main business. LACENTA. Check out that review here: https://bit.ly/41mWaVp
