I would give 5 stars but my seat was booked for 2 other groups and one manager made us get up and move to the front row. I reserved my tickets online and chose the back row but to my surprise it was different when I arrived. Anyway I was very upset and wanted a refund. Trying to get a refund is impossible! 1) Their online refund process doesn't work. 2) Sending an email needing to cancel a ticket will result in a no response. 3) Finally getting in contact with someone they inform you it'll take 1 week or more for the online refund to work, which it doesn't. 4) In order to get a refund, you have to go in and get a Customer Service Free Ticket, which can't be deemed online. 5) After calling to reserve seats for a movie, they inform you to call back later when it's less busy. 6) You call back later and are then informed that it in fact CAN'T be used over the phone. 7) Now you either have to go in days before the movie to reserve a ticket or hope to get decent seats, if any at all, minutes before the movie starts. they have projectors that have not been updated. and their Lumens in some theaters are very dim. in particular, theater 3, has blue dots all over the screen which makes the viewing experience very bad. I went to the manager and he said, "oh yeah, that screen is bad" but they continue to show movies on it. You go to a movie for the HD quality, surround sound and for a theater experience. At this theater you do not receive that. the professional thing to do would be to shut that projector down till you have it fixed, instead they continue to show movies on it. very unfortunate. read more

I'm an AMC Stubs member, so I rarely visit theaters that aren't part of that chain. When I lived in Clermont, however, I used to visit this theater all the time, and recently visited with friends to see Alien: Covenant. This theater is always nice because I've never seen it busy, and I've never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to buy tickets. The bathrooms look newly renovated and are always very clean. It's also located conveniently in a strip mall with a dollar stuff, plenty of stuff to do if you get there early (such as a comic book shop), and some places to eat like the Cedar Grill, which I greatly enjoy. It's out of the way for me, but I would recommend this for anyone who lives in the Clermont area! read more

They're the first theatre of its kind in Clermont so there's not much to compare it to, but all things considered its a pretty good theatre. The movies are always new, the seats are large and "stadium" style so noones head is blocking your view, the snack bar has a nice variety and they even have a "coldstone-ish" Edys ice cream area. The reason I didnt rate them higher is their lobby has no seating, its pretty bare actually; they dont offer student discounts and they close pretty early but that's Lake Countys fault not theirs. Sound and seating were good. It's not the Epic in Orlando with full recliners, but it will do for something close by. We were there during an early weekday, for a movie that had been out for several weeks (because we can't stand the people who can't be quiet, not use cellphones, etc.). While our group wasn't the only group in the theater (couple who needed a flashlight from their phone for several minutes while they decided to sit right at the entrance to the theater seats....yay....people!) it wasn't busy enough to be subjected to humanity for very long. We did hear the air conditioning running, sounds like it needs to be serviced, during non-action moments within the movie. The person in the box office was the only person I saw working there. We purchased our tickets online and showed him the app (EPIC's app), and he had no idea what it was, so it looks like a little more training on their own products would be helpful. So other than the snag of having to tell the staff what's up, it was good. read more

Horrible experience. Only two people working the concession area. It took us 20 minutes to go through the line. There were no fountain drinks and the refrigerator of drinks barely had anything in it. I had to get someone from staff to come in our theater because one family was playing a movie for their child who cried throughout the movie. I went to the restroom after the movie and their was toilet paper all over the floor. My son went to the men's room and almost slipped and fell from water on the floor. I expect this at a discount movie theater but I paid over $50 in movie tickets and the $30 at the concession stand. Guess I need to stick to Regal. read more

As a filmmaker I'm very disappointed in this movie theater. The only reason it doesn't get 1 star is because the prices are cheaper than the average theaters these days. You get what you pay for though. The theater was funky, like they washed the carpets with dirty water. And the screening itself was blurry and under exposed (too dark!). read more

Considering that I do not live in Clermont, Epic Theatres is not my go to movie theatre; however ideal movie times and errands in the area made this a reasonable option for us to see the new Thor movie. We were there on a holiday weekend, so it was expected that the lines would be a little longer. They were staffed accordingly, so the queue moved quickly - and the employee assisting us was friendly and efficient. (One thing to note: their virtual box office computer out front was out of order). We got our tickets, grabbed a few bottles of water from the concession stand (Note: I spent TEN DOLLARS on 2 bottles of water. . .sigh), used the restrooms (which were very clean) and found our seats. The Cinemark has spoiled us with the electronic recliners, but these were certainly very comfy as well. All in all - we enjoyed our time at the movies here. There's lots in this shopping center, so it made for a great day out for us. read more

I always preferred Epic Theater to other theaters around because they are far less crowded and aren't swarmed with loud annoying movie-goers (which is why I usually don't go to the movies). Their prices are fair. The screens are a decent size. What I'm most excited about however is the new renovations that are happening. I just went to Epic for the first time in about two years and I was pleasantly surprised that the theater now has comfy new reclining seats! That is so awesome! I hope the prices stay about the same because I may just have to start going back to the movies again! read more

Really disappointed in Epic theaters in Clermont. Went with my family (of 6) to see a movie on Saturday at 6pm. To start the theater was not that clean, the soda in all 4 soda machines were flat(Diet Coke), popcorn was stale, theater was so hot and muggy I was gonna pass out(had to tell them twice to lower the air), the bathroom was dirty as well and the last thing was WAYYYYYYYY overpriced food(3 waters, 1 candy, 1 popcorn= $ 38). Nice location that has recently gotten an upgrade and now has recliner seating. You also pick your seats at the time of purchase. Located in a shopping center parking can be hard to come by depending on time/date of your movie. Ticket prices are a bit high, but on a plus this theater has so many movies to choose from. read more

My niece and I saw The Lion King here over the summer. Seats reclined and the theater was spacious. The air condition kept us cool it was blistering hot that August day. I used the self service kiosk to purchase tickets. read more

Epic theaters is going through renovations so the lobby is a bit confusing and a mess. But the actual theaters are great. The new recliners are so roomy and comfortable that they give the audience a singular experience. You never have to worry about not being able to see over the person in front of you. It will be great when the renovations are complete. read more

I never go to the movies on weekend nights to avoid the crowds. So my review is based on weeknights and daytime attendance. Being the only theater in the area keeps me coming back. The facility is clean overall. There's a large concession stand with usually helpful employees. I say usually because if they're gathered in a pack chatting you'll sometimes have to get their attention. Concession prices are high and I'm ok with that because that's where they make their money. I prefer them to be there rather than not. I love the sound and picture in all the theaters they have. Very happy about sound quality in particular. Seating is comfortable. I have seen broken seats there that weren't marked as such. That's a drag discovering in the dark as your butt plummets forward suddenly. Staff are usually friendly and helpful. If not, the management is accommodating. Bathrooms can be a terror on a busy night. That needs attention. Regarding the phone using or chatty customers I do wish the staff were more effective at stopping those behaviors. It's frustrating sometimes. Again, why I don't go on weekend nights. A negative, and it's a consistent problem, are the warm temperatures inside. Sometimes you can tell that the ac is off by the stale air. That's a problem to me. There have been many times where I've had to ask about it. That's the reason for one less star. Overall it's a great place. Make sure you get their rewards card. The ONLY good thing about this theatre, is the Recliner seating. I don't normally come here ( and it's 2 minutes away) so I'm not sure when it turned into a mess, but outside, there were no movie times listed at all, the lobby was a mess of used napkins, popcorn and soda spills. The bathroom had 5 stalls, and 3 had no toilet paper. The theatre floors were sticky from soda ( I hope) and it wasn't cleaned up from the previous movie. The seats were comfortable and reclined,which earned one star from me, but that's not enough for me to return here. read more

Although I have been to better theaters in the past, this is a great neighborhood theater! The location is good and is surrounded by quite a few restaurants and a frozen yogurt shop. The seats are comfortable which make up for the smaller screens. The concession stand is a bit pricy, but they sell this type of seasoning for the popcorn. I like the ranch flavor. The lobby is somewhat bare with the exception of an arcade area on the side. They also have a party room for events or birthday parties. All in all, this is a good place to come to if you want to have a close-to-home date night. The good thing about this theatre is the location. It was needed in this part of town. And the building itself is quite nice. Unfortunately there are no matinee times, but that's not my biggest complaint. what makes me never want to return is the staff. How can I say this..they're jerks. During one the credits for one movie the manager walked in and yelled out there was no surprise ending so we don't have to stick around. When we talked to him later he acted like he was doing us a favor. Another time I caught an employee making fun of me when he thought I already went into to theatre. (I probably would have been in the correct theatre if he gave us our ticket stubs back.) I want to like this place, but the staff ruin my experience every time I go. So just be warned. read more

This was my first time here and i appreciated the user-friendly kiosks outside where you can buy your ticket. I then went inside and proceeded to buy popcorn which was a bit confusing at first until an employee had to tell us it was self-serve. This i also appreciated, modern and functional, however, there was one hotdog left, items seemed scarce and there were no prices on any items. My trust in the brand automatically diminished in that moment. I am in hopes that this is because they are in a remodeling transition and is not a marketing scheme. My small popcorn was $8! I understand $6 but $8 is a little unreasonable. The seat are cozy in the theatre. I will return but will bring my own snacks. read more

Great job on adding the reclining seats and the added legroom they provide however it seems that adding these seats must have taken away from the budget to keep the restrooms clean. The last couple of times we went the bathrooms were horrendous. The faucet was broken and one of the stall doors was completely missing not too mention the lack of supplies and stench. It is also hit or miss if the theaters are cleaned between shows. We went on the 21st of November and there was clearly not any effort to clean up from the previous screening. Hopefully these things will be rectified in the near future because it is very convenient location. read more

I have always been going to Downtown Disney to see my movies but with all the construction going on down there, I decided to try EPIC for the new Avengers movie. We went for a mid week matinee and paid $8 each to get in. I don't eat in theaters because they are just too expensive so I can't tell you about that but I did see they had a bar area where you could get beer or wine. I decided to have a beer (7 or 8 dollars each) but the beer I wanted was locked up in a case that they could not find the key for. The manager happened to be near the bar area and told me what they had to offer me... he went in the back and actually came out with the beer I first wanted... they found more if in the backroom. He was super nice as was the girl ringing the sale. The theater itself was clean and the seats were nice. Of course with a almost totally empty theater, I had a stupid kid sit right behind me and kick my seat... I asked him twice to stop... his parents even told him to stop... but he never did... so i had to move my seat.... but of course this had nothing to do with the quality of EPIC.... Anyway... I enjoyed the facility and will be coming back again.... Enjoy! read more

Went to see the han solo movie at 1pm movie but it didn't start due to technical difficulties and we were told we could be issued a refund or go to another theater which started an hour later. My kiddos were hungry and we were planning on having lunch immediately afterward so I asked if my kids could get a couple hot dogs or mini burgers for our trouble and I was flat out refused by the manager on duty Jamal. I don't think much of Epic Theater in Clermont. You can't find the ticket prices on their website. Are they so expensive that they know people won't go there? I think so. I asked if they had senior pricing for 3D and was told yes. Ticket prices was $11.50 each. If that's senior pricing, how much was the cost for regular tickets?!? It's like watching a movie at Grandma's! You are promptly welcomed and invited to help yourself to the snacks that have been laid out before you got there. The place is clean, just don't look too deep in the seat cushions because you may find the wrapper your cousin stuffed down there during the last visit. But don't let that deter you from a pleasant experience, not when there's another inexcusable reason to be disappointed. The fact that Granny refuses to let that a/c blow cold! Nothing like losing yourself to a 2 hour cinematic adventure only to have to peel yourself off of the pleather recliner because the temperature inside is set at a subtropical 79°. Even the seats grown from the heat as the cushions rub against each other. This can be heard often, each time your movie neighbors adjust their seats in a likely effort to air out their creases and crevices. The only benefit to this Cinema Sauna is that once you step back outside, the central Florida heat is only slightly more humid than inside, so there's no shock of discomfort. Despite the "Epic" fail of the thermostat, it's a great place to enjoy an evening. And like an evening at Granny's, you'll be happy for the time you spent there but more happy to be getting back into your climate controlled car and headed home. read more

Two days later, I'm sick with a cold. Wonder how that happened? I would hope that sick employees would be moved away from food service locations to minimize the spread of germs when they're ill. Solid spot to watch a movie. Not the fanciest place but clean and very serviceable. Staff is polite and their prices are in range with other theaters. The seats are good sized and comfortable.
