This is a disgrace of a business. I do not usually leave any negative reviews for any small business but this people are scammers. It doesn't matter how stranded you are or how badly you need to get home, I would sleep flat on the sidewalk before working with these people again. I am a young woman and the driver they sent me harassed me, was quite physically ill, and seemed intoxicated. My car arrived to my house DAMAGED 7 hours later than expected with 0 communication. I read a couple good reviews of Epic Towing in Redmond and called them to move a car 25 miles, from Redmond to Bend. Good contact, ready a day earlier than expected, took photos of the car when he got here. He said it would be a hundred dollars, which I was happy about, and I gave him a forty dollar tip to help my friend with it when he got there. He did not offer a receipt and I didn't think about it. When he got to my friend's, he again took photos, but would not help her move the car, so he took my tip knowing he would not help her. He then told her he had been instructed to be paid a hundred dollars. She wasn't stupid enough to fall for it, knowing it had been paid in advance. Would I call the company again? Uh NO. read more

12/11/21 My parter and I, along with my 2 eldest went up the santiam to hunt for a Christmas tree. Snow had just started falling in the pass the same week. We took every precaution, even stocking up on food and drinks (thankfully!) The front end of our pickup truck ended up sliding down a slope we couldn't see under the snow. After trying our best to get out, the incline to backup was just too steep. We also had the truck running for hours, the snow under us started melting and lowering us further down and we landed right above a boulder. Tow was originally 90 mins out and dispatch kept calling us to check on progress and see if her driver (husband had arrived). Apparently they don't have phone chargers in their truck and he was "on his way to our GPS location" with a dead phone. 1 hr, nothin. 3hrs, nothin. 4 hrs, wife is even more worried for him than us now cause she can't reach him either. 6hrs, she tells us he is at the "Y intersection from Hwy126/20" (30m drive) and finishing up helping someone put chains on their car! The truck driver finally arrived to the side road that we were stuck on and now that 7hrs had passed, he couldn't make it through the snow that now covered said road! We were finally able to reach a family member who clocked off work & drove 1.5 hours to meet us at the end of the road. After a quarter mile hike down the road we were on our way home @2am. Got in at 330am. This was the WORST experience I have ever had with a tow company. I've known plenty of tow companies and their owners and I've never had a tow driver take other calls on their way to a job! If he had set out when she claimed he did and came straight away, my truck wouldn't still be stuck up in the pass. The roads would have been clear enough to reach us and get us out before dark. If you want to be stranded for hours and receive an unreliable service then you should call them! If you want a good service then find another tow company. Ready to hear an EPIC story about an epically horrible tow company? On our way home (Washington) from Sunriver our car broke down going up the mountain and we had to pull over on 26, north of Warm Springs. We found a auto shop north of Zigzag about 50 miles from where we were and called Epic Towing to get our car towed there. It was 11:30 in the morning and the person we talked to said that he has a driver ready to head our way. The tow company is 20 miles south of where our car broke down so we thought it should be there by noon at the very latest. Luckily one of our family members was driving their own car behind us and so after talking to the tow company they told us that we can either wait on the side of the road for them or leave the car with the key on the tire and they will meet us at the auto shop. So we opted to leave the car and drive to the auto shop. We arrived there at 12:30 so I called the towing company to see if the driver was able to find our car. The person I talked to told me that they our on their way. So we waited. By 2 pm there is no sign of the tow truck. At this point our dog was getting restless, the auto shop was wondering when the car will arrive as they were closing at 4 and we were 4.5 hours away from Home. So we called them again at 2 to ask for a status update and they told us the car was picked up 35 minutes ago but since the driver is in a dead cell range they couldn't get a hold of him. With that we knew the car would be there in 30 minutes. By 3:15 when they didn't show up we called the tow company again. They told us they still can't get a hold of their driver. I was furious at this point as it had been well over 3.5 hours since we called them first. I called again at 3:30 with no update. Finally at 3:45 they called to say the driver is 15 minutes away from the auto shop. Thank goodness for the auto shop owner because he was so nice and he stayed at the shop past his operating hours so he can take a look at the car. At the end the driver told us that he was at Bend, then he went to lunch then he went to the shop to get the truck and then head over there. I understand everyone deserves a lunch break and if they would've told us that from the beginning we would've understood. But the fact that they had us wait for over 4 hours, lie about picking up the car twice and then on top charging us over $500 dollars for a 50 mile tow is beyond a rip off. This company should be shut down immediately. The owner, Cory Hazen, is the most disrespectful and uneducated person we have ever had to deal with. My daughter was hit by an uninsured driver. This company is on the dispatch list and were the ones that got called to tow her car. We have full coverage and every add on you can think of for her car. I called to find out where her car was and he gave me some bs policy that insurance had to provide them with certain information before she could get her stuff out of the car. A copy of our policy, the police report or the case number from insurance wasn't good enough. I spoke with insurance and they had never heard of such things. I also spoke with the police department and they said she can just go get her stuff, we weren't trying to take the car. We sat in the parking lot for two hours going back and forth with this guy on the phone (he claimed to not be there but then came bopping out of the dispatch shed). Insurance called multiple times and he kept changing what it was that he wanted. She was unable to get her stuff until the next day. I was unable to accompany her the next day but she called me while there. I could hear him running his mouth about the car. I asked to speak with him and I reminded him that he is not the insurance company or the mechanic. He doesn't need to be scaring my daughter and saying things he knows nothing about, his response was that he didn't have to talk to me and he walked away. But he continued to speak out of turn. He refused to let her take the photos that insurance had requested. I called insurance to inform them of this and again they had never heard of such things. He refused to allow the insurance company to take the car without her writing on a piece of paper that she released the car to them and they could remove it from the lot. He requires a form but does not have one available for people? Insurance was shocked and had never heard of this process. They began to try and remove the car on a Friday, they got the run around from this guy for 5 days. They were finally able to remove it the next Wednesday. This is one week after the accident. But, they were charging $150 a day so that explains it right there. So, my child gets in a no fault accident and this guy thinks it's ok to make her feel like she is a criminal and doing something wrong because she wanted to get her stuff out of her car. I am making it my mission to get this business pulled from the dispatch list and hopefully shut down. They are a disgrace to the industry. read more

I have no idea how this company is still in business. I had my car towed by this company after a crash, I did not choose them. They do not answer their phone and their mailbox is always full. I tried calling before going to retrieve my things the day after (which the officers at the scene would be no problem). There was no answer. We showed up anyways because I needed my items for work, the owner isn't there. So an employee of another company has to call him and notify him I'm going to retrieve my items. The owner says I'm not allowed because they haven't received a phone call from my insurance stating they will cover the tow cost. We have full coverage insurance with towing included and multiple forms of proof, but we cooperated and told insurance they need to call. The owner proceeded to not answer my insurances 3 calls and continue to refuse. We call the owner ourselves and explain that we've done everything required of us and there's no reason to deny me access. He then yells at my mother (who was driving me since my car was in the tow yard) that she needs to "stop talking and repeating herself" and how we're wrong. Insurance calls us back and says they got in touch and I can retrieve my items. He then shows up and says i'm still not able to get my items and insurance didn't tell him what he needed. After 3 hours of waiting, we then leave. 30 minutes after leaving we get a call from the cops and insurance saying they've spoken to the tow company and I can retrieve my items. We then try to go get my items, and the owner is "out on a tow" and I have to wait until tomorrow. Tomorrow comes, and I'm finally able to retrieve my items. My insurance required photos of the damage to my vehicle for my claim. The owner said that wasn't allowed because i could get other cars in the back ground. I explained he's gonna have to tell my insurance that and my mom that (who is the owner of my insurance). My mom simply asks why this is over the phone and he says "I don't need to deal with you. I'm handing back the phone." and hands me my phone back. Ok then? Great explanation. Then I had to write on a piece of paper a paragraph about how my insurance was allowed to come get my car because I guess verbal wasn't good enough . The insurance company took 5 days to retrieve the car due to the owner always being "out on a tow" when they tried to get it. He was charging my insurance $150 a day. How ridiculous. We got apologies from our insurance saying they have NEVER dealt with anything like this before, as well as apologies from the cops themselves and directions about how to file a complaint. This is NOT the experience I needed being a young driver who wasn't at fault in an accident. I hope these people get shut down. read more

Our insurance company hired Epic Towing on our behalf and I'm strongly inclined to reach out to our insurance with the experience we endured from their choice. The Receptionist had no interest in helping us let alone providing any sort of customer service, which I did believe was typically the first and foremost detail in the job description of any person answering the phone for a business? I was wrong. She was rude, condescending and had we called the company ourselves we would have never purchased services even if they had offered them for $1.00. USAA contacted them for us initially for roadside assistance. We waited for about 2 1/2 hours for a tow. I tried calling them multiple times and finally left a voicemail saying I was just gonna leave my car and they would have to come get it without me there. They then cancelled the tow appointment a few minutes later. I understand if you're too busy to assist but I would have liked to know before I sat and waited for that long. Thankfully I was at a safe location or else we probably would have died in the 110 degree weather. read more

It took 1 hour for the driver to arrive. He acted disinterested in helping- not as much as a hello when he arrived. Apparently as he dropped my Rav4 off @ the Toyota dealership, he allowed it to run into a lightpost. Luckily, Travis @ the Toyota dealership checks cars himself as they are brought in. He is the one that noted the damage and reported it to the driver. Toyota called me to report the damage, THEN this company called me. They said they would repair it after I got my car back. So today I informed them that I have my car. They made me go around and get 3 estimates. After this, I had to scan the estimates into my computer and email the estimates to them. The supervisor would not speak to me. The person on the phone said he was not allowed to give out the supervisor's name and he did not know the name of their insurance company. I was told that the supervisor said he would only pay for repairs not replacements. There are parts of my front bumper that can only be replaced. I am still waiting to hear back from Ryan at the towing company to see the next step. I was told that I can go through my own insurance company if I want- how generous! This would only be a mark against me for filing a claim. I would not recommend this company. I will give an update when I have one. read more

My wife's car got stuck outside our home during the storm. Unfortunalty, we waited for better weather which left the battery completly dead. Was worried about a polarized battery or worse a main fuse burn out after a failed jump. My insurance towing (USAA the BEST!!) got Epic Towing to come out in a timely manner when there was 6 hour delay due to weather of ALL the towing companies in Bend. They were extremly knowledgable of battery issues, and said I may have a polarized battery or a deep dead battery. All I needed was a heavy tow truck battery charge and I was up and running. These guys were awesome, professional, & fast. The customer service before and after the service by their office dispatcher was also great. Use them,..you won't be disappointed !! read more

One of our residents called their insurance for a car to be picked up and sent to the local Ford dealer. Our park is a private 55 plus community with private streets. I noticed a large trail of oil coming into the park off 27th. I followed the oil to where our street map is and found a large spot of oil, then the oil continued to the back of our park and saw two very large oil spots about 16" and 24" around with lots of large oil drops. Then the oil trails all the way out of the park and another large oil spot where they set waiting for the traffic light to exit our park. I made two calls asking them to come and clean up the oil spills. Their dispatcher assured me the owners were advised. After giving them a chance to call me back and not hearing, I signed up with yelp to post this. First time I've ever done this. We had to hire someone to come out and put down oil cover and then we will be having to pressure wash off. Couldn't even call back to say sorry. There's no way the driver did not know he was dripping oil. They may pick up your car, but watch out for this in front of your house or driveway. read more

I like to think I'm a patient man and I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt but I still can't believe the terrible service my family received from this company. I'd like to think that emergency service companies exist to help people in their emergencies and that would mean a little peace of mind for a husband who works out of town when his wife and child end up on the side of the road. Nope. Not with Epic. In fact this company made everything worse. My wife spent hours waiting for a service that never came. I drove home from Klamath Falls to get my wife and son off a busy highway. Don't trust the office for a second! They lie, they are rude, so many days later and I'm still boiling ! This is the place to call for EPIC customer service and LOWEST rates!! I called to get help when my daughter locked herself out of her car. They took my card information over the phone dispatched help immediately, quoting me 50 bucks for an unlock all the way in Bend! I called my daughter to let her know help was on the way and unfortunately she had already called a lock smith here in town and paid him $125. I had to cancel the call for EPIC and was assured it was no problem and they happily refunded my money. If you have a lock out or are just in need of quality, inexpensive and customer service 5-star rating, then Epic Towing is your best bet! read more

On Saturday, 7/14/2018, I was riding my motorcycle in Bend when the motor stopped and would not restart. I called my insurance company's roadside assistance, who in turn contacted Epic Towing to transport my motorcycle to my mechanic. I received notification that Epic Towing would pick up my motorcycle within 90 minutes. .. At 15 minutes after the original notification, I contacted Epic Towing who confirmed that my motorcycle would be picked up within the 90 minute window. .. At 60 minutes after the original notification, I contacted Epic Towing who again confirmed that my motorcycle would be picked up within the 90 minute window. .. At 90 minutes after the original notification, still no pickup, I contacted Epic Towing again who put my telephone call on hold while "contacting the driver". After 10 minutes on hold, I hung up on the call. .. At 105 minutes after the original notification, 15 minutes late already, I contacted Epic Towing again who put me on hold. When the phone representative returned, she informed me that Epic's driver would be unable to pick up my motorcycle and that the work order was being cancelled with my insurance company. Just like that. I waited for OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF for Epic Towing and my tow was cancelled. Game over. Nothing more to be done. No recourse. Nada. Epic Towing ?? EPIC FAILURE. FYI, at this point, I called my wife who rented a trailer to pick up my bike and take it to the mechanic. My wife arrived in under an hour--trailer and all. Epic failure by Epic Towing. read more
