I am so frustrated! The store clerk was friendly & very helpful. The product is beautiful. The company that Macy's works with XPO delivered our kitchen table and has been awful to work with! By accident the large delivery truck backed up on to my front lawn. They got stuck in the mud and moved back further trying to get momentum. When stuck & spinning their wheels they made the tire tracks deeper and did more damage. Macy's customer service keeps sending me to XPO delivery and after sending them photos and a quote to repair our front lawn they will not call me back. I want this resolved. Their awful customer service doesn't not reflect the Macy's brand-! Extremely unhappy customer. read more

SEVERE CONSUMER ALERT!! It is my opinion that you should not purchase anything from Macy's Furniture Gallery that requires the use of their delivery service, especially if you are a woman receiving the delivery by yourself. Here's why: They were scheduled to deliver the mattress and were an hour later than the two hour window that they gave. Once they were at my home, they dropped the box spring and tore a hole in it. They shrugged it off and said sorry. When they finished placing the mattress and box spring onto the bed frame, one of the delivery guys stayed really close to my girlfriend, even though everything was completed. She thought he left the room and bent over to remove the information tag. At that point bumped his crotch onto her butt while bent over. She then pushed him aside and quickly went out side of the house. She called the delivery manager to complain and he said he would look into it. She then called me and I called the corporate customer service to file a stronger complaint and demanded that the delivery manager call me. He called me the next afternoon and gave a weak apology. Ten days later they were scheduled to deliver a replacement box spring. Again they were late. When they arrived I walked out and told them they were late. The driver said I know and I responded "hurry up, I've got to get to work". He then proceed to launch several f-bombs and ask me who the f- I am. I told him that I am the customer who paid to have them deliver my purchase. He then launched into a tirade of more f-bombs. I then called the delivery manager to let him know the level of personnel that were on his team. During that time they jumped into the truck and drove away without making the delivery. Again, this manager said he's never had this issue before. I highly doubt that since I have had numerous large items delivered and use numerous freight companies and have never had anyone cuss at me. At that point I decided to obtain a full refund and asked the corporate customer service to schedule a pick up date. On the third scheduled day, a different crew showed up. Not trusting this company I recorded the pick up and ask that they inspect the mattress and box spring so that they can attest that it was clean and undamaged other than the damage that was done by the previous delivery crew. They absolutely refused. I told them I would call their manager to make sure that I was not going to have a problem. While I was on the phone, they hopped into the truck to drive away. I stood in front of the truck and blocked them from leaving until I got the manager on the phone. He wouldn't come to the phone so I called corporate and received assurance that I would have a full refund regardless of the condition of the mattress. The delivery service which they call themselves "white glove delivery service" gives a whole new meaning to "white glove service". Burglars use white gloves, maybe that's what they are trying to emulate. Would I recommend Macy's Furniture? HELL NO!!! They do not care about you once the purchase has been made. As I stated above, do not buy anything from them that needs to be delivered. If you do have a delivery from their "white glove" service, have a minimum of three people in attendance to keep them from cussing you out or trying to touch the females inappropriately. With all the furniture retailers out there, buy from the others and make sure they don't use the same delivery company as Macy's. Keep yourself safe and don't buy from Macy's!! read more

My husband & I were shopping for leather sectional sofas around Thanksgiving. After looking at a few furniture stores on the Eastside, we had our mind set on the one at Macy's. We came to this store 2 times within 10 days and talked to the same salesman: Shaun (?) We asked him what's the difference in prices if we do not want the Console piece. He answered: the total price is going to be MORE. He also confirmed for us that the price he had quoted for us is the best deal. But guess what? I checked Macy's online store after I got home that same day. The online price was LOWER, and it's also CHEAPER to buy the set without the Console. The total price online saves more than $200 compared to the price Shuan quoted to us. Another lesson to prove you should never trust these salesmen! I'm really sorry to hear about all the negative experiences other reviewers here have had with this store and thankful that my experience was a lot better. My fiancé and I went on a lengthy hunt for furnishings for our new home that we just bought. It wasn't the first time we hit up Macy's for some furniture, so we knew it could be a hit-or-miss. The day we went, though, we spotted a lot of beautiful, modern stuff that we loved -- and there was a sale going on! -- but we weren't ready to purchase because we were in the process of closing on our loan and was advised by our LO to wait until our loan was fully funded before dropping a ton of cash. Ben took care of us and assured us that he would honor the discounted rates on the day that we finalize our purchase, regardless of when that would be. Not only that, but he also said a much better sale was happening in a week or so, and the prices were dropping even lower, so he would honor the those rates instead. When we finalized our purchase, Ben happened to be on vacation, so he passed his work onto a colleague of his. I don't remember his name. There was a lot of confusion because it didn't seem like our deal with Ben was properly communicated to him. We went back and forth before getting on the same page. It was smooth-sailing after that, and all the furniture was delivered to us and assembled with care as scheduled. We realized that the couch we got had uneven cushions. We waited for about a week thinking we just needed to break it in, so we sat and sat on the fluffier cushion, but it didn't make a difference. We called Ben, and he very easily scheduled an exchange for us. The other person we worked with at this store was Mosen in the rugs department. We purchased a lovely imported area rug from him. He was knowledgeable. He waived the delivery fee for our rug and tried to work within our time frame, but the timing didn't work. He called me to have me pick up the rug from the store, but I explained that we didn't have a big vehicle to fit it in. He talked to his manager about it, and his manager agreed to personally deliver the rug to our home with his own vehicle, free of charge, and he showed up when he said he would. I'm very happy with the customer service I've received from these folks so far! I will definitely look into Macy's again for more furniture needs, as we are not completely done shopping! read more

Never buy at Macy's! We had a really bad experience and still wait for a reasonable solution. Me and my husband purchased a series of bedroom furnitures, at the first delivery one of the furniture had factory defect, then they took the piece back and scheduled another delivery after 10 days. After 10 days we'd expected a good one, but ... it was much worse! And it wasn't manufacturing problem! What's worse is that, they even ask for the previous piece, they said it's exchange service! But.. they took back the piece at the first delivery! Okay, then they said it's ok. They helped us scheduled a third delivery hopefully to get a good piece.... but! After another 10 days, they didn't Inform us and nobody came for the delivery, then we called the customer service, they said the order has been canceled! That's ridiculous!!! We didn't get the piece and nobody informed us?! It's been more than a month now, we still have to wait for another month for a fourth delivery! Never never buy at Macy's! We went to this store and talked to the store manager, she said this was not her fault but she would help us solve this, the options she gave are not acceptable to us. I gave one star because it won't let me continue without any... I will NEVER, EVER order from Macys again. Getting my bed and mattresses has been nothing short of a nightmare. We, as customers, are expected to work around their delivery times. If the time they pick doesn't work for you, then expect at least another week's delay. After I finally got my furniture, I wanted to exchange a couple of items. Deborah promised she'd create a new ticket (order) and schedule the delivery. I assumed all was well since I received their automated delivery notifications (thank goodness I was available!) for a Saturday delivery. I received a call at 7am (yes, 7am!) on Saturday informing me that they had no record of my order and won't be out that day. Really?!? The lady told me I would be receiving a call that day from customer service to discuss the next steps. What to take a guess on whether or not I received that call? I think you know the answer. Here we are on Monday. I called their customer service and the rep said they will have to call the store and have the sales rep create a ticket. I decided to call the store myself. After being on hold for awhile, Jim picked up. After cutting me off mid-sentence, he rudely told me that he was in the middle of helping two other customers and would need to call me back. Worst customer service I've ever meet, never purchase furniture from Macy's or Macy's online. Can I give zero star? Two weeks ago, I purchased a set of leather sofa from Macy's online. The online purchasing was easy, they arranged the delivery for me the next Thursday. I got a phone call confirmation of delivery one day prior to delivery date. However, on Thursday nothing is delivered and no one was contacting me for anything unexpected. So I called Macy's to ask why, they said don't know what reason, the order was cancelled. And asked me to confirm my address, phone number, etc again. Then I trusted them again and they promised to deliver the next Tuesday (today). Two days prior to that they phone called me and confirmed the delivery date. One day prior to that they phone called me to confirm the time slot (12:00Pm to 2:00PM). On the delivery date, I (have someone) waited until 3:00PM and not seeing anyone coming. No one is contacting me for any delivery time change. Then I called Macy's again, to my surprise, they said the order was canceled this morning, and ask me to provide my credit card again and they can arrange a delivery next week. If I don't call them today, they would let me wait for my furniture delivery forever without any notice or explanation! Isn't it the worst customer service in the world. read more

Redmond store is OK. Delivery is the worst I ever dealt with. I ordered a dining set, table and chairs. First time they forgot the hardware. So I had to wait another week to get another delivery. Next week they were so hasty that forget to adjust height and took a wrench. So now I can't even do it myself. No apologies, no discounts, just calls from robots early in the morning saying "your driver is 30 minutes late". Nicely done. That's what they call 5-star delivery. read more

I use to love Macy's and so I went to purchase a couch. The sales guy was very nice and helpful. I was told I would be called an hour before delivery and the delivery date was still 5 days out even though the couch was in stock nearby. I did NOT get an hour notice. I was given 15min notice. The guys told me if I'm not there in 15min they would leave and could not come back. I am out of town for the weekend and was told we can reset the date for the following week. No accommodation, no consideration being that I was not given a proper notice. I left work to try and make it but there was too much traffic and the guys left. I'm the customer and I should not have to run and jump to meet their expectations but if you deal with the delivery service at this place you will. It is not very typical of Macy's. I bough a rug in April from the Area Rugs department at Macy's furniture store in Redmond. The rug arrived three weeks late. Macy's sent me a letter explaining why it was late (apparently this one was a very popular rug, and was on back order), after I called them few times. But I understand! After we received the rug, we went back to get another rug, since we like the first rug so much. But, the second rug arrived late too, this time, by one month. I called few times and apparently It was shipped very late and it was lost, or whatever...but never the less, it was late again! The second rug arrived late but we had to exchange it since we didn't like it as much as the first one. I am wondering if this third order is going to be late too!!? read more

I purchased a Macy's furniture which is less that 2 years old. Recently, one side of the chaise has completely sunken and the cause was determined to be broken springs underneath the furniture. Macy's sent a 3rd party to inspect my furniture and claimed it's not covered by the manufacturer warranty. They have washed their hands off me and asked me to reach out to worry-no-more extended warranty (another 3rd party crap). I don't understand how a furniture can breakdown in less than 2 years, with light usage, be anything but a manufacturer issue. Even if it's not a manufacturer issues, how can Macy's go back on it's promise? Read their website and the tall claims they make. The sales person promised me that, in case of issues, Macy's would repair the furniture and if it cannot be repaired, it will be replaced. None of this has happened and Macy's is refunding 700$'s. I purchased the sofa for 1750$'s. They don't want to take any responsibility saying there is no manufacturer defect. Please be cautious before buying Macy's furniture or any of it's crappy warranties. Just read their website and tell me if I misunderstood anything here. Sales Associate Richard Apple was extremely rude to my wife and I when we said we didn't wish to pay $85 have something delivered and instead wanted to pick it up ourselves. (a 22% increase to the price) He would not give me the phone number to the corporate office when I asked for it so that I could tell them that I didn't appreciate a mandatory delivery fee. He was SERIOUSLY NASTY. I find it hard to believe that this bitter person is in the service business. Amazing. I did not, and will not, buy anything (I tried but he was so much of an a** that I left. The Macy's home store in downtown Bellevue does not include any furniture, but rather things like bedding, tablecloths, kitchen appliances, etc. Instead, you'll wind up here if you want to look at their furniture collection. This isn't the most nicely laid out showroom that I've seen from Macy's, nor do they have the most helpful salespeople, but it gets the job done of laying out a wide collection of sofas for me to sit on. Their selection, transparent reviews online, and prices (during sales) are all great! It felt soooo good to upgrade from Ikea furniture! Their delivery service has also been top-notch, with weekend delivery options, two hour windows, and generally helpful delivery people. I do believe they contract out their deliveries, but in my couple of experiences they both did extra things here and there like move my old sofa to another room or lay cloths down before installation to protect the wood. There isn't a way to order online from the web site; you'll be told to place a call, and I had a suboptimal experience with that where my order seemed to drop into oblivion. Since you should be going in to try before you buy, place your order in person! read more

Avoid! They do have a great selection of furniture to choose from, and we immediately fell in love with a dinning room set and purchased it. While the sales team was very helpful on the day we ordered the furntiture, the order and delivery side of the experience was horrific. They determine the delivery window and time, which created its own set of issues. Once we worked around this, they ran extremely late, so we cancelled the delivery for that day. The call center was more eager to cancel our order than help work through the problem. So we called the store we purchased the furniture through to assist us. We reached our sales person, who told us that the dinning room table would be an additional 3 weeks delayed (they split the order over 2 deliveries) from the original estimated time and that a date could not be locked down. We were concerned that we would have a buffet and chairs but no table, as they were not able to confirm where the table was or when it could be delivered. Ultimately, we decided this was too painful and backed out of the entire sale. Still eating on boxes, we continue to search for furniture. We will not be going back! read more

Eight weeks ago, my husband and I purchased an American Leather pullout sofa at Macy's home in Redmond. I fell in love with the comfort of the couch, and the way the backboard slid down to form the head portion of the bed - what a space saver, I thought! Two weeks after it was delivered, I invited my parents over to give it a test-drive. To my shock and embarrassment, I did not think to test the sheets out before they arrived. I got a queen-sized sheet set, but the sheets were too small due to a large protrusion in the mattress. Also, there was no way to tuck in the fitted or flat sheet. When I called the store to inquire where I might purchase sheets that would fit this couch, they informed me that this was something I should have noticed when I purchased the furniture. I find this suggestion to be incredibly unhelpful, and insensitive - who takes measurements of a pullout queen sized sofa to ensure the company is following the precise size regulations. I'm sure I belong to the majority of the population that does not do this; perhaps if this is something I should have done, a sales associate would have advised me to do so before I spent nearly $5000 on the piece of furniture. I realize it is too late to save myself from any further frustration or anguish, but I am passing this information along to others: do not go to Macy's Home Furnishings, especially in Redmond. If you choose to do so anyway, do yourself a favor and bring a measuring tape to inspect each thing in their floor. They have lost my business for good. read more

I went into Macy's with my mom and friends and every time me and my friend went to look at something to add to my household they kept looking at me and my friend at us strangely and me and my friend were very uncomfortable and then my mom tried to get some help with a guy that offers his assistance and when we needed and asked he passed by. but they had a very good music selection and when they did ask if we needed assistance they were very respectful. Now for the furniture good prices some very expensive for my taste but very good quality, but they did not have any kids beds like bunk beds or anything. I liked there furniture but not a very wide selection of the ages. read more

Update: We were concerned about the bad experiences that other yelpers had from the delivery people. We got our furniture this morning. They said between 9-11 and they called at 830 that they were going to be in 30 minutes. They arrived at 9. The two gentlemen were very nice. They removed their shoes. Removed the old furniture, placed it in the garage and vacuumed. Carefully brought our new leather sofa and love seat into the living room. We inspected the furniture and it was perfect. We tipped them 20 dollars each. Now that we had this good experience, we will go this weekend to order for furniture the family room. Hope we can find again Ali and that the delivery truck people are nice again. Great experience! read more

Who knew Macy's online is different from the store??? I ordered some furniture online, and after a few days when I went to check the status, it said cancelled!!!! I called up customer service, was put through 4 different callers, none of them were furniture department and kept transferring my call, was on the line for 45 mins! Drove up all the way to the store, and got told that the systems are different and they can't even look up my order! I thought they representative who spoke to me was very unhelpful and quite rude. Was just patronizing me. I don't think I will buy furniture again from Macy's! Sorry you lost a loyal customer and I have been shopping here for a while now. read more

Short version: RUN AWAY....! "A little bit" longer version: I purchased over 10k worth of furniture from Macy's in December, enjoying the fact that I've benefited the Christmass deals. After several times of rescheduling the delivery due to no-shows from them (not that they called me about it - I had to call them myself once they failed to show up) they finally said they fon't know if/when they're gonna come, and I should stay home indefinitely! To compensate for that they offered me a $300 gift card, but even to get that, I had to call them 10s of times and fight with them for over a month. They acquired my email address at the time of purchase in order to send me the order confirmation. I never received such thing. What I did receive immediately was junk email from Macy's. Every time I called Macy's after that (and believe me I called so many times) I asked them about the order confirmation. Their answer: "Oh! Looks like we don't have your email address on file. If you give it to us, we'll send you the confirmation." Reality: I gave them my email address every single time, and I never received the confirmation. When they finally did deliver my purchase it was a disaster! They gave me a bunch of broken pieces (I can't imagine a reason why they couldn't do this even after a month they had to prepare my order!) I kept the very few "OK" pieces, and asked them to replace the rest. Later they called me and said they won't do that until May (Dec., Jan. Feb., Mar., Apr., May... WOW!!!!) It wasn't acceptable, so no matter how painful it was for me to have nothing left after all this trouble and having lost on all the Christmass sales, I told them to pick up the remaining furniture from my house, and give me a refund. Although when they delivered, they left my house some time after 7:30 PM, and that was even after I had to move the furniture myself so that they would just leave (!!!!) they refused to come for pickup any time after 7PM, saying that they don't work that late. They didn't even think for a second that it's their mess, and asked me to take time off from work and be at home for them, on top of all of my losses, and they refused to give me the refund before they pick up the furniture. However even after they picked up the furniture, they didn't issue me a refund for another 2 weeks, when they finally gave me a refund which was 1 cent short of what it should've been. I asked them about that 1 cent and they responded: "Really?! You're asking me to give you an adjustment of 1 penny?!" I don't know how many of those "1 pennies" they've stolen from their customers so far. Oh! It's really much much more than this, but I'm even tired of writing about it. In short, they couldn't care less about their customer satisfaction, although they pretend to care a lot. They simply are a big corporation, who feels too safe to care about their customers. What makes my experience more frustrating, is that despite several chances that they had to fix things up, they never really tried to make up for their previous mistakes, instead they just kept on adding to those. read more

My experience with this particular Macy's furniture gallery was absolutely great, from sales to delivery. Cece was very helpful and answered any sales related questions I had. The furniture delivery guys were respectful and took great care in the furniture, (even with three flights of stairs.) Cece called after the delivery to make sure the delivery of my furniture went smoothly. I'm a very happy camper and highly recommend this location for any furniture needs. read more

I have ordered a 5 pieces couch from Macy's at Nov 2nd. There is one piece is waiting to be shipped from L.A. The sale man promised to deliver any available pieces to us before Thanksgiving if the one piece is not able to make it. We have double confirmed this will the saleman and remind him that the date is very crucial for us. Since we have guests for Thanksgiving. We ok with the arrangement that will shipped available pieces to us first before we confirm the purchase. However, we call the store at Nov 21st. They told us that they can not make it. We ask them about shipping the available pieces, they said they want to charge us more. After a long conversation, they said they will contact LA and call us back at Monday. At Nov 22nd, We found out the price was dropped from 2400+ to 2100+ while we visited another Macy's furniture store near Kent at Nov 22nd. We contacted the Redmond Macy's store to get the price readjust. They say it is illegal to adjust the price. They have to drop our order and reorder. They said our couch will not be able to make it at Dec 2nd??? We ask them to ship the pieces that available. They said we have to paid more for shipping. We mentioned it was promised by the saleman. But they said it is our fault. This is unacceptable. They make it like it is our fault and they never promise to shipped by Thanksgiving. We are so upset and have to deal with no couch for our guests for Thanksgiving. We are very disappointed to Macy's customer experience. This is the worst experience.
