Consistency in food. This time we had the hubby burger on a gluten free bun which was tasty and the gf bun held together well. We all had tastes of a slice of banana cream pie while waiting for our dinner. It was enjoyed by all. The waffles with berries was awesome with the waffle split into four pieces with blueberries on one, raspberries on another followed by strawberries and blueberries with all topped off with whipped cream. A hot chocolate with whipped creamed was enjoyed. The spicy chicken sandwich was a bit messy but tasty as were the ERA burger and the child's cheese burger. Some of had fries and some had the fresh fruit which is a choice that comes with burgers and sandwiches. Food was good and prices not bad. It was under $95 for the 5 of us. We went to Era a couple times during our vacation in Minocqua. The first time was for lunch and it was average to good. The second time we went at breakfast time and it was a A++ Excellent and absolutely awesome. Yuliia V. Was our server for lunch and she was incredible, friendly, and efficient with her cadence of service. Our second visit, Jersey B was our waitress and she was also just as excellent and professional and friendly with her service. Very refreshing. For our visit on our second experience, I had the country fried steak, hashbrowns, two eggs and a full load of pancakes. This could've been my only meal of the day as it was quite a generous portion and an incredible value. On my first visit, I had the era hamburger which was good. Went to ERA for post-church brunch and happy we did. As I walked in I saw tables groaning with the weight of breakfast plates, especially pancakes, skillets, and sausage gravy. Ordered were two skillets (including a pancake weighing about a pound), breakfast burrito (crunchy exterior, and, the below eggs Benedict. Not pictured is a side of hash to top it all off for our party of four. We all thought everything was very good and enough to fill up a lumberjack and his oxen! Went to AA's for brunch and they did not disappoint. Tried a new avocado toast with the smoked lox and it was delicious. Then we had the corn beef hash skillet, which was a good portion size and the mushroom spinach feta omelette with just egg whites and that was good too. Our waitress was very good and although the restaurant was busy, they served us in a timely fashion and made sure our water cups and coffee cups were full. Really friendly service! I had the potato pancakes and they were delicious! The place is always busy! Definitely try it!

The problem slightly started as our food was given to another table, I mentioned to the waitress hope it was not touched by the other table. Then she never came back to our table until it was time to drop the check off. not even then asking how things were, so I mentioned that the corn beef hash breakfast was very mushy and looked very sloppy, she proceeded to tell me that is the way it is made. At the register paying I was asked how everything was and mentioned the same thing and now was told well it's sliced off something or another, and did I ask for a new meal? hard to ask if the waitress never comes back around your table. FOR A $18 plate of slop we will not return. By the way there was another set of people outside the restaurant saying their food was not good either. I just will let them know about their bad food, poor customer service and lack of training on ERA'S part read more

Their food is decent to good for up here in the Northwoods (I'm from near north side of Chicago). HOWEVER...I ordered a carry out order that totaled $21 including tax. All I did was give my order to a server at the front counter and she took it to the kitchen. Well, I stupidly paid no attention to the ticket once the register lady printed it out and I signed off without looking at it.. a FIVE DOLLAR TIP was automatically put onto the ticket! That is INSANE and customers who eat at tables better check their tickets closely to make sure auto tips aren't being added on so they can tip their usual 20% or so and not be over-tipping. A $5 tip just for walking the order ticket 6 feet from front counter into kitchen???!!! Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. When I eat at a table at any restaurant, I always tip 20-22% but this crap??!!!! Unbelievable. read more

We just had a delicious breakfast at Era. The menu is expansive and everything is wonderful since we've been there a few times. It used to be a Dennys and the new owner did an excellent of rehab. We really enjoyed our breakfast at ERA! Lots of options on the menu, and for getting there at around 10:30am in a rainy Saturday, I was impressed with the short wait we had (only about 20 minutes). Our server was very nice and attentive. We got our food very quickly, but we also ordered right away when we sat down. The building is a little older, but still in pretty good shape. I would like to see more coffee options on the menu since there are so many options for everything else. We will definitely consider coming again if we are in the area! read more

Second review: We came again while in the area, as we remembered having some decent food here. And it was SO good again. First I have to say that everyone from the greeter to the man bringing water and coffee to the waitress to the checkout woman- all of them were warm, friendly and attentive. The people working here are REALLY first rate. My friend had the eggs Benedict with avocado and breakfast potatoes again because it was so good last time and she just loved it on round 2. I had the vegetarian melt, which was very good and flavorful with an excellent meaty cheese. Plus yummy french fries.
