One of the few places I order French Toast. It's not Texas, but it's not the thin grocery sliced variety. The whole wheat bread for toast is good too. Has some body and doesn't get to be a crouton after toasting. The fresh squeezed OJ is a favorite. Crepes are good as well as the country fried steak. They have enough staff to keep service moving right along. It's a nice redo of the old Perkins building. The only down side IMO is the coffee. They feature some special roaster's coffee and it's a strong compared to what I normally like. Not enough to keep me away from a good breakfast. Have not tried lunch or dinner yet. read more

Wow! Came from out of town to celebrate a straight A report card and Era did not disappoint! Clean, bright interior. Plenty of help. Our server Tamara was friendly and appropriately attentive. She highly recommended the freshly squeezed orange juice, and my granddaughter says it tasted like it came right off the tree. She was right. Stuffed French toast with Nutella was her choice. She was blown away by the warm, maple syrup that came with. She says this restaurant is rated an 11 out of 10. When breakfast was served. She also commented it looked too pretty to eat. Nice presentation! Feels like a bit of class in the Midwest. I ordered the veggie skillet which came in this classy bowl. The veggies were sautéed perfectly, the scrambled egg was soft and not overcooked, and the salsa I asked for on the side was tasty. Excellent, excellent breakfast, we will be back! read more

A fast friendly welcome the moment we walked in and excellent service - quick but not rushed. The food is beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. I had avocado toast with egg and my husband had the corned beef hash skillet. Both were wonderful. Saw a stack of pancakes delivered to a nearby table and it stunning - a pile of fresh fruit, whipped cream, and edible flower on top. Great coffee - espresso drinks available too. Very nice ambiance and decor, BIG parking lot with room for vehicles hauling boat trailers in back (enter from Wallace Road.). Highly recommend - looking forward to going back! read more

I missed the Perkins Restaurant but as I drove thru Woodruff, I noticed a new sign on the old restaurant. My wife and I stopped just to try it out. Total surprise by a great menu, fast service, and very good food. I mention the fast service because so many restaurants that have had a great history have suffered because of staff shortages on the floor and in the kitchen. We were greeted quickly and our table was visited, coffee served and order taken at a reasonable speed. The food came to the table quickly which I think reflects a well staffed kitchen who are getting out the food quickly. And the food was done perfect. And the little touches like coffee served with a full carafe, syrup served warm and the food was worth raving about. We will be visiting again soon. read more

Went here for Father's Day breakfast. Seated immediately at 730, very nice server brought water and coffee fast. The biscuits and gravy with eggs were delicious! Hubby had an omelette with breakfast potatoes which made him very happy. They bring a coffee carafe to your table and leave it which I always appreciate. Go here! read more

This place is all about customer service and quality! Four of us came here around 9:45 Friday morning and were immediately greeted with a person holding 4 menus. As we were seated, four waters immediately showed up. The wait staff was exceptionally good. The food was served very quickly and piping hot. The portions were large, but the quality of the food was so good and tasted so delicious, we couldn't stop eating. The ambiance is bright, clean and welcoming. The bathroom was clean . I highly recommend this for breakfast. The pies look delicious however we were way too full to try anything else. We will be back. read more

ERA restaurant deserves more than five stars! We travel extensively and are very glad we found this restaurant! The food quality, taste, quantity, and presentation deserve at least a five star rating. The management has created a wonderful welcoming atmosphere with top notch training for the staff. Servers carefully listened to our requests and went above our expectations. For example, our family had to stay in the area visiting a family member in hospital - ERA staff compassionately served us - even providing flowers at our family dinner while we grieved. Very expensive for ok food. Perkins tasted better when it was there. Breakfast came with either a pancake or toast. They charged $4 for a single piece of French toast when I requested French toast instead of the pancake or the toast. Orange juice was $6. Crazy read more

I highly recommend them if anyone is going here. Third visit and the experience doesn't change. Bland, tasteless barely warm food again. How can you serve a half pound burger on a warm plate with American cheese on a toasted bun with fries, pickles, lettuce & tomatoes and have it wind up with the consistency of cold oatmeal stuffed into a wet, soggy roll? AND Its a good thing I saw the cheese because I could not taste it! Once again the fries were also cold & tasteless not that it mattered. Oh yah, the pickles were crunchy & terrific! Wife ordered a new vegetable stir fry which according to the menu consisted of broccoli, carrots, onions & cauliflower served over rice to find NONE of those vegetables in the dish brought to the table.
