Finally, a breakfast I can finish. When we entered the restaurant the waitresses were chatting with customers at a small stool/counter area. Because we are first timers we weren't sure about just seating ourselves. But as we caught one of the waitresses attention we were told to seat where we wanted. Our waitress was right over with the menus and our drink orders. I ordered a hot chocolate and my husband ordered a glass of water. We were served a hot chocolate and a pot of coffee. Luckily my husband drinks coffee so he pivoted and decided to drink coffee. My husband didn't enjoy his food as much as I did. He ordered the bacon and sausage skillet. There is an area in the menu for the lighter appetite. I ordered the 1/2 corned beef hash, 1 egg scrambled and 1 slice of toast. I enjoyed the homemade hash and fluffy egg and best of all I could finish it without having to take 1/2 of it home. Although next time I may order the whole serving of corn beef hash so I can enjoy leftovers-it was that good. It reminded me of the hash at the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek in door county. read more

My wife and I have traveled often. We usually try to find places where locals eat. This little cafe is a bit difficult to find, but once you do you will be very happy you took the time to get off the beaten path. We've been to every state but one, and to several countries in Europe. This might be the best breakfast we have ever had. The portions are extremely large, but the quality of the servings was terrific. Usually large servings equates to mediocre food. NOT HERE! Solid, friendly spot for breakfast and lunch. The place we originally intended to go was closed so we were happy to see this spot nearby. It's in the small strip mall in front of WalMart. The menu is full of classic breakfast and lunch favorites at reasonable prices. The Mister had a classic patty melt with fries that he really liked and I had a bowl of their "famous" creamy chicken wild rice soup. For $4, it was a good sized bowl filled with chunks of chicken and veggies along with plenty of wild rice. Perfect on a chilly day. Our Place seems to be very popular with the locals, for good reason. It's a nice, clean spot serving up good food with good prices. This was my first time to Our Place. We were able to seat ourselves and our server helped us out with drinks right away. When you order coffee, they bring you a whole pot which I LOVE so the server doesn't have to keep asking if you want more. The sausage skillet was delicious. I subbed the cheese sauce for hollandaise sauce (just a personal preference). There was plenty leftover. I would definitely go here again. Great local place for breakfast or lunch. Go super early if you don't want to have To wait out this place is packed most of the time. They move swiftly so even if you have to wait it's only for a few minutes. My breakfast was awesome (corn beef hash) which is one of their signature dishes. Next time I'll have the chicken fried steak and eggs. My father's was not quite as good; but, still good as the bacon was not crispy. Food was good. Ambiance is alright. But the service.....SUCKS! The OWNER was our server, yep, she's the owner! And, she does nothing but cater to her friends! She doesn't lift a finger except to take the order & collect the tip. The hostess brought our drinks, she also brought us our food! But, I highly doubt that she gets tips. The owner spends more time standing around talking...and complaining about other local businesses than anything else. I couldn't believe this women was the owner. But, I showed a picture of her to a local and he confirmed it was the owner. Her name is Freyja. Personally, I don't understand why she is a server. I learned she did the same thing where she previously worked. She was the manager, but also waitressed. I don't mean she did it to fill in for someone either. She actually puts herself on the schedule. We had to ask the other servers for things we needed. She never came back to ask how our meal was, if we needed a refill on our sodas or anything. We had to ask the hostess/ busgirl for our bill and then, Freyja was still to busy talking to "friends" (she was literally SITTING in a booth with them talking & ignoring everyone else). She could take a cue from the 2 gals that were busting their butts to get drinks & clear tables. She also doesn't actually listen, she messed up our order. We also witnessed another table of 5 eating while one young man sat waiting....she had completely overlooked him. It wasn't until another employee asked if everything was ok, that the missing food was brought to anyone's attention & rectified. I have never been treated like this at an establishment. I had a good breakfast and was enjoying catching up with a friend when an older, incredibly rude woman came up to us and asked us to leave!! She said a lot of people were waiting to eat and straight up asked us to leave! As we were leaving we heard her say to other staff that we had been there over an hour! I would give this cafe 5 stars for the quality of my burger and fries, but my 3 star rating has to do with the staffing. At lunch, this restaurant was completely packed, but there was only one server for the whole restaurant. We waited a long time to place our order, and then waited longer for the food to be served. The hostess and server were pleasant, but this cafe is seriously understaffed. We had tried to eat there earlier in the month, and they were unexplainably closed for two days...maybe there weren't enough workers. read more

I really like these folks. I was very happy to see they were able to start up a business after the management over at Tula's /Trig's foods did them so very wrong. The business is coming along nicely as they are ironing out the bugs of being owner/operators. Food is as good as it always was. Had 2 of our 9 plates with hair and 1 looked like pubic hair right on top of eggs was very grossed out all the food we ordered we stopped eating and let waitress know we don't want replaced and we don't want to pay for food that will not be ate. She seemed to be upset like it was our fault still tipped her 13.00 from a 60 dollar bill will never eat there again read more
