The first two times were five star because it was the owner. The last time was one star and they were pushing about the tip and they screwed up my eyebrows and I'll never go back unless I have an appointment with the owner which I'll probably just find a different place. I told her to make them straight and don't shape them and she thin them and she rounded them after she said, I'll just follow the lines. I knew I should've walked out or not paid for it but oh well it's hard to find someone who knows how to wax eyebrows properly without making them look bad. And they say your first wax is free, but they never did that either. She'll probably drop it to two stars, but I'll keep the three cause I did really like the owner but it's too far away to take a chance again. read more

Went in for a pedicure and the lady completely cut up my toe, and then went back to the area with the cuticle nippers again. It is still bleeding after being home for an hour. Needed nail job quick so i pretty much selected "Era Salon" due to its proximity to my house, ignoring the fact I'd already had a bad experience here. That was piercings, this is nails. (In a nutshell the first experience left 5 horrifically placed holes in my ear lobes. When I went in to have them corrected, she said she could only reduce price by sales tax due to the amount she pays for earrings. Having helped run a tattoo/piercing shop, I KNOW how cheap the posts earrings are. She begged to differ with me. Against my better judgement I went in and was serviced by "Tony." He worked as quick and sloppily as I've ever witnessed. I should have taken more pictures. Most tools dirty and out dated. After calling several times amazed that they were falling off like melting snow and thinking I made my intention of a complimentary repair to the shoddy nail job quite clear, we bickered, I tipped $20 more than I should have, vowing never to go back. I called for an appt and asked if they could blow dry curl and backcomb and Jenny said they could. Went in for my appt and it was a disaster. Jenny was not there so another lady did it. She did not use a brush to blow dry and after 30 minutes she still did not have the curls in it. I left after an hour with no back combing at all and it was flat on top. They told me to come back at 1 and Jenny would fix it but I was feeling so bad and it looked so bad that I called another salon and asked if I could get an appt right away. They said yes and I went there and it looks great. I ended up paying for two hair doo's within a two hour period. I have gone to Era Salon before and Mai Lei did a beautiful job on my hair but she retired and it has all changed. read more

There is a review posted here from July 24, 2021 by Christina M that (if this is the same person and I am fairly certain it is) needs a little more conversation. I came into the salon for a pedicure around the time this woman was "going off" on Jenny. No matter what Jenny tried to do, this woman would not be denied and was definitely inappropriate with behavior and language. I sat in a chair two seats from her and the lady right beside her tried to interject something in the attempt to calm her down but she then went off on her. I really and truly believe that there would have been no satisfying her and frankly, she did not really give them a chance to make things right for her. So if she only got one acrylic nail put on her one big toe, that is because of her not them. The tech that had been attempting to do her pedicure was new (think her name is Nancy) but Ann, the other nail tech tried to help out since this woman was so upset. Then Jenny herself was going to do the pedicure when suddenly, the woman jumped up and bolted out, threatening a poor review on Yelp. I have been watching for this review so I could add my 2 cents to the story. I have been going to this salon prior to Jenny being the owner, at least 8 years. I have always been treated well and professionally. The services I have received over the years have always been good even great at times. Don't let that review prevent you from coming to this salon. I have to say that I've been bouncing from salon to salon over the past several months trying to find one where they actually cared for the customer as well as their taking pride in the work being done. I FINALLY found just the place! Not only was the atmosphere terrific, I can't say enough of the pride each one of these lovely ladies took into the services provided! I currently am going all natural with my nails, and it's crazy how other salons don't complete (what to me isn't too much to ask or have done)! Not here, in fact my nails were so tore up (some too shout ) that Ann actually took care of that by applying a thin overlay! That wasn't ever offered anywhere else especially when a week prior had the same service somewhere else! I also enjoyed a wonderful pedicure which included again great pride abs effort by Nancy, especially during massage time (yay)! I decided to get the works, and closed my beauty day with a haircut ( I'd been cutting my own since the start of pandemic) JENNy oh Jenny have me a terrific trim and while I hesitated at first decided to let her incorporate bangs. I haven't been keen to that because of the tendency of my hair to curl up when I get too hot! She cut them perfect length and it really makes me look younger!! This place is a must try for YOU!!! They also have 20% off right now ( COVID-19 has hit them hard like most others have)! These are good people and care for the happiness of customers, not the almighty dollar! I made an appointment and had to wait about 40 min with my friend to get a pedicure. When we finally got seated for a pedicure, they rushed to get through with it and did not do a good job removing dead skin. They were not even done doing my pedicure and moved me to a regular chair when they weren't done with the service. Then I had to wait 10 min before someone finally came to do my nails. He made sure to tell me that if I had any problems with any nails to come back in right away, but that has never happened. I've been coming here for years now and keep giving them chance after chance with my nails and hair but I'm done. Last time I came in for my nails on a Sunday they had to call someone in and I had to wait for him to get there. This man was training and had someone watch him to make sure he was doing good (that's not an issue I understand) I wanted to get a full gel set but he told me "only hand models get that" so I went with a normal full set after not wanting to, we took over an hour to do my nails and they still looked bad. Rather then sit there any longer I just left and dealt with it, I went and got them filled and fixed at another Salon (this new place will be my new go to) and they turned out better then I could have imagined. I went to go get mine and my daughters hair cut today we wanted just a basic cut nothing fancy no layers or anything. Just a cut. My daughter now has layers and looks like she had a bowl cut as well so needless to say we aren't happy. I got mine done and i now have layers (again this is not what I wanted and she didn't ask if we wanted this) so neither of us are happy with it. Just to start off by saying, it was my first time here and usually I'm quiet during my visit at nail salons and I'm comfortable just enjoying watching the nail techs make magic out of my nails, but the vibe was completely different here. I was helped by Tony and the whole time, I felt uncomfortable just being there in my usual quiet vibe and felt obligated to try to speak because he seemed irritated the whole time. I understand he may have been tired or stressed, but just the mood I was in, I felt guilty making him work on my nails. During the process, he was super rough, pinching my skin, twisting my fingers in awkward angles, buffing my nails with the machine too hard that my nails were burning underneath and left my nails too long for my liking that I'm gonna get them fixed somewhere else. Yes, it's my voice to tell the techs about what I prefer in my nails, but I felt super uncomfortable even being there. I was too scared to say anything. And to top it off, I was charged $75 for a full set with a basic French manicure design. I could understand the price, I suppose, because he had to use gel and dip powder to make the mint green color I chose more vibrant, but I wish I was told I was gonna be charged more for that because then I would have chosen a different color if I knew it was gonna be so expensive. And I still left a $5 tip because I felt obligated to out of my anxiety inducing encounter so as not to upset him, but I wish I hadn't now.... So yeah left two stars because yes, my nails came out lovely, but the experience was upsetting. Don't recommend. read more

Jenny is awesome! I came to her for Brazilian Wax and I didn't even know they do B-Wax! I've asked her if they do B-Wax a couple of weeks ago when I came in to get a pedicure and manicure. Shortly after, I went home and tried to get some reviews on their B-Wax but I couldn't find any. I was uncertain at first but I've decided to give it a try at their salon. Today was the day that I got my B-Wax! It was painless and there's NO REDNESS! I've gone to European Wax Center couple of times before and go home with redness/irritated skin. I'm FULLY satisfy with Jenny's work. She has her own technique of doing Brazilian Wax too! The price is cheaper than European Wax Center too!!! This service doesn't exist on Yelp because there were no reviews by their clients! They usually get mature clients so they don't usually write reviews. It was only by "word of mouth" by their clients. Ladies, ladies, ladies, I would recommend Jenny for Brazilian Wax! I think they do men too. I never paid so much for a fill, especially since they are short nails. one nail wasn't even straight and the rest looked like different shape of square. the nails would have been fine if not for the price. that's what I usually pay for a full set, not for a fill. read more

I'm fairly new to this area and was looking on Yelp for a good nail salon for a trim on my fingernails. This place had good reviews and is close to my home! I did a walk-in, expecting to check it out and make an appointment for a trim and pedicure. Tony was there and offered to do the trim immediately! He did a great job and quick! The hand/arm massage was nice too! I came back that Thursday for a pedicure. Now, I haven't had my toes professionally done in years - so they needed some TLC. Ann was terrific! She really had her work cut out for her too! There was some serious hang nails and cuticle growth (ewww!). She took care of everything, gave a wonderful warm lotion massage w/hot rocks too!! I found them to be very friendly there- even the other patrons- and clean!! The massage chairs for pedicures are the BOMB! Their prices are right in line w/what you would pay at most places these days too. But, you get great service and a wonderful pedicure experience too! Definitely my new regular spot! read more

I came here and got a full set of acrylics. I loved them, I had the guy (forgot his name) do them and they came out amazing. He really took his time with the shaping which I was very happy about. I actually got them longer than I personally could handle so I went back a few days later and got them shortened. He went above and beyond to make sure they looked good as new after he shortened them and didn't even charge me for shortening them. I highly recommend this salon for getting your nails done.
