I see why now both her salons are so empty she has received her bad karma for all the bad service she does and runs away from fixing and taking accountability. The owner of this salon also runs Special Nails Spa Rocklin, and her complete lack of professionalism is a systemic issue across both of her businesses. I originally had to visit this Nail Spa 999 location only because her other shop randomly locked its doors a full hour before closing time on a Sunday, even though their "Open" sign was still brightly lit. Fast forward to a recent service at her other shop on June 23rd: the experience was awful from start to finish. To begin with, their color selection is incredibly limited and they didn't even have the basic color I wanted, forcing me to settle for something else. The service itself was an absolute nightmare. The technician dragged a basic pedicure out for nearly an hour. I was visibly uncomfortable and needed to use the restroom so badly, just wishing she would hurry up, but she just kept dragging her feet. Worse than the terrible timing, she completely butchered my big toes. She clipped my live cuticles raw and then heavily flooded gel polish directly into the open skin. It has been nearly a week, and the sides of my big toes are still severely red, inflamed, and swollen. It causes a sharp, throbbing pain just to put on basic socks and sneakers, which has completely disrupted my workouts and my ability to stay active at the gym. When I called to address this, the owner was incredibly nasty and hostile. She admitted to me on the phone that she watched her security cameras and saw that I looked completely unhappy and uncomfortable during the 50-minute service, yet she still completely refused a refund. When I explained how painful the swelling was, she tried to gaslight me that it was because I'm pregnant and told me that I "complain too much," and literally HUNG UP the phone on me. They have zero respect for their clients, terrible technical skills, a poor selection, and a manager who throws tantrums instead of taking accountability for injuring people. Avoid any business run by this woman. read more

I walked in and asked if they could remove my acrylic nails, they quoted me $42 because "they can't just remove them because it's dirty, a manicure is needed as well." So I walked next door to Sally and bought acetone and just removed the nails myself. Really weird vibe and it was obvious they didn't want to take the request since it isn't a high-cost service. Still, they could have gotten some business, which I happily gave to their neighbor Sally's instead. read more

I decided to try this salon because of the good reviews and pretty photos, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. I came in for a manicure with nail art in two colors. The polish ran onto my thumbs during curing, which caused big bumps and uneven application. I pointed this out and asked to have it fixed. The owner, who was the one doing my nails, told me that I had chosen this design myself. I explained that I agreed with the design, but nails should not have bumps like that. She then offered to remove the gel and redo the color, which I accepted. However, the gel polish started peeling after just one week, and now my nails look terrible -- I have to hide them until I can get them redone somewhere else. I paid $63.44 including tip for a manicure that barely lasted a week, which is extremely disappointing. read more

I went in around 12:30 to see if they had availability for a full acrylic set, and they told me to come back at 2:30pm. no problem! so I leave, come back, they made me wait for 30 minutes before telling me they only have time for a gel manicure. I told them I needed acrylic, and she got mad at me. She used a very rude tone of voice during the whole conversation! Came here because of the reviews and very disappointed. Called and made an appointment and then when I got there, the girls said she were shortstaffed and she would be taking me and another person so she was switching off between us. No gloves at all. Didn't clean my cuticle good at all, asked for a callus treatment for the other person and barely did that for the other person. The Pedicure was $62 plus extra for gel. Insane. Like cmon now free drinks isn't going to help bad service. read more

I went to Nail Spa 999 4/13/26. Terrible and rude customer service, plus they don't know how to run a business. My daughter had purchased a $50 Groupon gift certificate for me and they didn't know what to do with it. I had printed the Groupon gift certificate which had a barcode, QR code, Groupon Redemption Code and support ID number on it. The nail tech said she had to call her manager and meanwhile she had started working on me and had put some scrub/ cream on my legs. She got her manager on her cellphone and then handed me her cellphone to talk to her manager. The manager said she couldn't do anything with the Groupon gift certificate because she didn't have a computer. She said for me to come back in a month ( she must have assumed I was going to stay there and pay for a pedicure), but the expiration date is June 2, 2026. I told her I wanted to use it now, but she said she didn't have a computer to use at the moment. I handed the cellphone back to the nail tech who had gloves on and scrub/cream on her gloves and it slipped out of her hands and the nail tech started yelling at me and accused me of throwing her phone. She kept repeating, "I just work here". I got up and left without having my pedicure done and as I walked out the door she called me "stupid". This place is not a professional place of business whatsoever and they definitely don't know what they are doing. If they won't honor a Groupon gift certificate, they should not be doing business with Groupon. This is fraud, Nail Spa 999 has received $50.00 from my daughter and denied my Groupon voucher. read more

Best place to go to in Roseville. They have really good prices. They do a discount for first timers. They give out soda and water. A Groupon for this nail salon. Now mind you we wouldn't have known about this salon if it weren't for Groupon. When we booked an appointment, I didn't mention the Groupon because I booked an appointment for a two pedicures. We show up to our appointment. Sitting in our chairs and are told they are short staffed one lady will be working on us both. Which is frustrating considering we made the appointment same day and she didn't mention this on the phone. We tell her what package we want, which was the one we bought for a Groupon. Then mentioned we have a Groupon. She immediately gets frustrated and says we should've told her we had a Groupon on the phone and she would've booked a different appointment. Not sure what different appointment needed to be booked. Although she was nice, she was rushing through both of our pedicures. She barely massaged my legs, never even massaged my left foot. My toenails were completely crooked. She didn't clip them and I asked her then I asked her to make them even. And finally, I asked her for the nail file and I filed them as even as I could. With the rush amount of time that we had. These are supposed to be 60 minute pedicures. She did mine and my fiancé's together and 60 minutes. She barely scrubbed my feet. And you'll see in the picture how uneven my toenail polish is. It looks very amateur. I could've done a better job myself. Even with this being Groupon, I would have gone back and been a repeated customer. Had they done a good job. You shouldn't post on Groupon if you don't want people to use them. A younger girl came in and also had a Groupon and she literally asked the poor girl to return her Groupon and she would give her the same discount. The girl felt uncomfortable and stated she didn't have the money if they didn't refund her to also pay for the nails. This is just horrible unprofessional business.. I would never return. I need to update, because I was so upset w/what they did to my nails. I just asked for a nail trim and a shape of round. My nails were almost 1/2" long and thats about 50% longer than I can work with as a caretaker. I'm also disabled, so sometimes I get overwhelmed easily and just want to leave a place of business rather than argue over what I may consider a trivial matter. The vibe at this place was not great when I went. I don't know what people up here are used to, but I went to the same nail salon in Fremont, CA for over 20yrs. Never had an issue w/their service, the nail techs or pedicurists. I always tip very well, having friends that are stylists. The response from the lady whom didn't do my nails, but acted as the interpreter to the much older woman doing my nails amounts to slander. She 1st said she was calling her boss and wanted me to talk to them (why?). Then, she told me to leave and not to pay because I was unhappy w/my nails (they never finished them). So, I wasn't hanging around to be berated, I was unhappy and left. I read every single review on here before making an appointment (I was late because it was pouring and the place is hard to see in the dark). Because my nails salon (Ks Nails) changed ownership suddenly, as did my last salon in CH (Bella Nail Spa). It seemed like the young woman lost interest in me when she realized I only needed a trim & shape (but wanted to pay for a full manicure) and that's when she had the older woman do my trim after a very lengthy discussion (in another language). She doesn't show any video, because there is none of me "acting up". I'm a grown woman, I know how to behave in a place of business. Bad service. Bad attitude. And nail tech spoke not a lick of English, except "yes". And, that is just a fact. Fremont, where I was born and raised, has citizens whom speak a total of over 150 languages. read more

I was next door, watching my kid play and decided I'd see if the salon next door had time to do a quick manicure on regular nails (I don't need acrylics, nails are very hard and thick). When I walked in, there wasn't anyone there and it looked kinda drab compared to the other salon a couple doors down (Kim's?). The young lady there was kinda of rude when I inquired about pricing for a basic manicure. She acted like she didn't have the time, even though there was a manicurist just sitting there watching TV on her phone. She kept trying to upsell me on all these services I didn't need for my nails, like scented water and lotions (I have eczema)- to which I calmly explained to her I cannot use. She seemed to get exasperated w/me and told me they didn't have time to do my nails! I was looking around the place while she was talking AT me. I noticed there wasn't any sealed nail kits out on the manicure tables or booths. This concerned me, so I read some of the other reviews on Yelp and Google, I got it: I wasn't spending enough $$ for her to bother w/me. I got my dip nails done like a few days ago and the next day my one finger nail peeled off,and then my nail broke cause my nails are thin., she asked me to come and I got it done. But she was arguing with me that I hit my nails somewhere that's why it was peeled off. Luckily I had the picture of what happened and I showed it to her (her name is Hannah) Anyways, overall - the shape was not good, I wanted almond shape, but somehow after she shaped it became pointy, I can feel my nails bumpy on top she didn't smoothen it nicely after the dip and also after the dipping powder my cuticles were not cleaned properly. Amazing service! She was very pleasant and did a fabulous job on my nails. I had gone to another nail salon and they told me that they didn't want to make my nails the length I wanted because I prefer the almond shape as opposed to the coffin shape. She made my nails almond shape and the perfect length. I also wanted a pretty specific design with at least 7 different colors and various designs and she was able to pull it off in a reasonable amount of time she is very skilled.
