I asked my husband to get me lunch from this place because a patient of mine recommended it. I tried the soup (ordered the wrong one) and it was ok. I ordered panang chicken curry and it wasn't bad but it wasn't the best. They gave so little shrimp and rice for $18+. The soup was big was for small. I have some long-term love affairs with metro Detroit Thai food, specific dishes, specific restaurants, specific flavors. This is the closest I've found in Atlanta. Curry pad thai - This is the first place I've seen with something close. Thai curry noodles with thin rice noodles and red curry. They don't give it the full pad thai treatment, and it's a bit wet, but it is delicious and reminiscent of the metro-Detroit style I so enjoy. Tom Kha - I love this soup in hot weather (hello, Atlanta!) and winter. When it's hot enough, it cleans out my sinuses and makes me sweat. This one was just slightly too milky for my taste. Som Tum (papaya salad) - The shrimp in this salad was great, but I could have used more tartness and more spice. Still this is the closest I've had to what I know and love. Fresh rolls - these were perfect. They were individually packed to maintain freshness and texture, and the rolls themselves were jammed full of shrimp, basil, cabbage, carrots. The peanut sauce was perfect with some crunchy chopped nuts to add texture. Though I didn't try it, I appreciate that they offer organic protein options. I ordered this meal as delivery, and it held up well in transit. I also enjoyed leftovers the next day. I do think they're spice is a bit light. read more

I have passed by this restaurant for the past 3 years and finally decided to give it a try. First off, I have to commend the staff for always being so welcoming and attentive to all my needs. It gives me the comfort of knowing my money is well spent here and just a pleasant atmosphere all around. 2nd, the food here is absolutely amazing. They promote being organic and using quality ingredients for their dish. I did not think much of this and thought maybe it was just a sales tactic to upsell the food. However, I am so wrong. I can taste the ingredients freshness and the quality of the ingredients. I've eaten many dishes from here and still have not been disappointed. I was looking for some good Thai food - not quite sure if the food is organic OR if it's just the name. I wasn't impressed with the food at all. I don't think the food was cooked with LOVE - it seemed like it was a rush cook - because there were a lot of "take-out" orders. The rice was dry, and they offered no sauce to go with. Good Thai food in Sandy Springs. My go to order is Chicken Pad Thai and have never been disappointed with it. They will make it spicy, but prefer pad thai plain. We have had the spicy curry dishes and they are good. Green curry chicken is a favorite too. This was during covid and inside dining was closed. You order at the front door, they make the food, you pay, and take it home. Too bad indoor dining is not open, as they did a great job remodeling after a fire a couple of years ago. I got a Lunch Special Chicken PadThai and a separate order of Spring Rolls because I didn't know the lunch specials came with one. Definitely not cheap for lunch. My total was like $23-25 but it was delicious. This place is great. I dined in (before Covid-19) after deliberating where to eat. This place is located in the Publix shopping center. There's plenty of parking and on this particular day, there wasn't a wait. The restaurant is spacious and clean. My server was quick and attentive, but not the most personable, which is why I didn't give 5 stars. I reviewed the menu before I came, so I already knew that I wanted the fish cakes as an appetizer and the fried catfish as an entree. The fish cakes had a unique texture--not crispy but firm and sorta chewy. They were served with a sweet chili sauce and some vegetables. I probably wouldn't order them again, but it's worth a try. The fried catfish was great. A beautiful fried filet in a sea of red curry sauce with broccoli and brown rice (you can get white too). You can also choose your spice level. I believe I got "American Hot", which is one or two levels below the hottest one. While I loveee spicy food, Thai food is notorious for its heat, so I stayed in my lane. I'm glad I did because it was HOT but still delicious. Although you can't dine in at this time, I believe they are offering delivery through Uber Eats. If you want Thai, I HIGHLY recommend them. I really wanted it to be something good. The portion in the crab Rangoon thing was horrible. You get 3 little pieces for 15$. They tried over charging me 20$. Then when I got home some of the food was rotten, they included. The lime wedge was brown, and the veggie had gone bad. The total for one person was like 60$ at lunch. Like makes me wonder what do the pans look like. These people clearly don't care about quality, just money. This is THE spot for Thai in Sandy Springs/East Cobb. We have tried several and my hubs isn't usually a fan of Thai so it HAS to be good for him to concede to Thai Food. I usually get Green Curry, but I have branched out here and there. My husband almost always gets Pad Thai. We get the kids tempura and they eat it all up!!! Can't believe I haven't written a review yet for Erawan! Their food really hits the spot! :p. I thought I had found a favorite Thai food place somewhere else but when I came to Erawan, my heart was quickly stolen away. Prices are reasonable and you get good portions for your food. Since the place was redone it looks brand new and is always clean and never really packed the several times I have been there. They also do delivery as well in which that service was also pretty fast. If you get 3 dishes from there, your bill could easily be around $40. Their garden rolls are yumm! For an appetizer. And my favorite dish there has become the Thai curry noodles. They have a good selection of options for vegetarians as well as non vegetarians. Their Thai ice tea is also really good. They also have alcohol. I also like that they have a good number of booth seating if you want more privacy when you eat. Not to mention the level of service is great and the people are super nice. There were not a lot of people in the restaurant itself but many walking in with me for carry. The restaurant looks comfortable. I ordered red curry chicken and spicy Thai fried rice with shrimp. I used to go to this restaurant but it closed for renovation and recently visited for the first time since the renovation. The restaurant is beautiful, very open with great light, and nice seating options. The staff is attentive and promptly took our order. I kept it simple and got -Fresh Garden Rolls ($6) -Tom Yum w/ Chicken ($5) The food is very good as it was before, and the garden rolls were super colorful and fresh. My co-workers also enjoyed their food. Love this place! The prices are a bit in the higher end when it comes to Thai food, but for good reason. We got the Drunken noodles with tofu, red curry with shrimp, and mango with sweet rice for dessert. The portions were huge and on par with the price - we had tons of leftovers. The main entrees were ordered Medium spice and it definitely had a strong kick. The drunken noodles came with tons of broccoli and tofu and was well seasoned, not too salty. The red curry came with so much shrimp, which was amazing. It was so delicious and quite spicy. It came with a side of white rice. Next time, I will probably get mild spice for this. The dessert was great as well! Ripe and sweet mangos, with sticky rice covered in sweet coconut. I always get this at Thai restaurants and this did not disappoint. This is worth any drive from any adjacent state. I just ordered from a delivery service and the food tastes better than ever - a very hard thing to say these days!! This round I had panang chicken, Nam Tok, and pad see ew with chicken. The chicken is tender and shaved beautifully ( like Phuket). All of the sauces are seasoned to perfection. The Jasmine Rice is point on!! It grinds my gears ( HA) to eat at a "fusion" restaurant just to be served oily rice with a thai dish. This is unfair to places like ERAWAN. Erawan is an organic Thai restaurant located in Sandy Springs. I guess they've got Atlanta's north side covered because there's L'Thai Organic Thai Restaurant in Tucker (northeast Atlanta) and L'Thai West at West Village in Smyrna (northwest Atlanta). Who knew organic Thai food was such a thing, especially in Atlanta? Erawan serves organic beef, pork, and chicken. They also serve organic beverages, such as certain organic beers and wine. These all-natural foods and drinks come at a premium. At dinnertime, plan to spend about $15-20 per person per entree. For Thai food, especially in this nice-but-not-upscale setting, I think these prices are too expensive. Also, some of the specials which use non-organic ingredients, are priced at organic prices. We showed up with a group of 9 without a reservation and were seated immediately at one of the long group tables in the back. On a Tuesday night, the restaurant was mostly empty the entire time (~2 hours) we were there. At night, the restaurant is very dimly lit. The restaurant is spacious and elegantly decorated with Thai artwork and fabrics. It's nice. The atmosphere is quiet and casual. The menu is pretty comprehensive as far as Thai restaurants in Atlanta go. They have appetizers like satay (meat skewers) and spring rolls. No fish cake, though. There's soups (e.g. coconut, lemongrass), salads (e.g. papaya, larb -- chicken and lime juice), rice, noodle (e.g. pad Thai, pad si ew), and curry dishes (e.g. red, green, massaman). Some of the more unique menu items are the noodle soups and chef's specials. You don't see noodle soups on the menu at American Thai restaurants too often and these are indeed Thai noodle soups. The chef's specials often include duck and seafood, such as catfish, soft-shelled crab, and shrimp. I tried the crispy duck with basil ($16.95) and the duck noodle soup ($12.95). The crispy duck with basil consisted of crispy boneless duck sauteed with grounded hot peppers, basil, red bell pepper, and garlic. The duck noodle soup consisted of rice noodles, sliced roast duck, bean sprouts, green onion, and cilantro. Both dishes weren't bad. The crispy duck with basil had a nice presentation and looked very appetizing. The duck was indeed crispy. I recommend sharing this dish as it's a lot of fried duck for one person. Some of the pieces of duck were tough and dry, which led me to believe part of the duck was overcooked. I'm not sure if I'd order this dish again, but it's certainly worth at least one shot. The sauce used on the duck is sweet and a little intense, reminiscent of Americanized Chinese food sauces. The duck noodle soup immediately reminded me of pho. However, it is not pho. It's a Thai noodle soup with a more smoky, meaty-flavored broth, which is less fragrant than pho. The bowl of noodles was large, filling, and comforting. If you're in the mood for noodle soup, it's an OK option. I'd order it again. My tablemates ordered a variety of rice and noodle dishes from basil fried rice to pad Thai to pad see ew. All of the dishes looked fine to me. A nice option that Erawan offers is brown rice. If you want to eat healthy, order brown rice instead of white rice. White rice tastes better though. Service was good. The servers were helpful and attentive. The food came out from the kitchen in a reasonable amount of time. You can find Erawan Organic Thai Restaurant at 7537 Roswell Rd, Atlanta, GA 30350 in the Towbridge Crossing shopping center anchored by Publix on Roswell Rd, about 3 blocks North of the Abernathy Rd intersection. I've always thought there was an unusual lack of decent Thai restaurants in the Perimeter Mall area - sure there's Singha Thai in Dunwoody, Little Thai Cuisine on Sandy Springs Cir and Simply Thai on N Shallowford Rd, but while they are all decent restaurants (the standout is Singha Thai) they are a bit on the Americanized side of Thai with dumbed-down spice levels and rather indistinctive flavors. In any case, from my work location at Northpark all the Thai restaurants were so far away that it was more pain than it was worth to visit them, so I was very happy to discover Erawan. As the name implies, Erawan is an organic restaurant and the food is quite good. It still suffers from a bit of "dummying down" of the distinctive flavors but I can understand that as the typical American palate isn't very sophisticated. That being said, all of the constituent parts of the items I tired were very good and fresh. You can taste the individual spices in the curries and the sauces will get you sopping up every drop. The meal started with Spring Rolls which I thought good but nothing special. We also ordered an Erawan roll from the sushi menu which was surprisingly good - it usually scares me a bit to order sushi at a non-sushi restaurant as I haven't had very good luck with that, but fortunately Erawan did a good job, at least with this roll (Avocado and Eel). Today I went for the Basil Chicken as most of our table of four ordered either Panang or Masaman curries. The chicken was perfect, juicy with crisp wok-sauteed veggies and just the right amount of basil and sauce. I love the brown rice mix they have here - most restaurants can't seem to get brown rice right - it's either over or under cooked. I believe this was a mix of brown and Asian short-grain white rice and the consistency and flavor was very good and perfectly cooked (it's tougher to do this than you might think - try it at home some time). I also tried the other curry dishes and have this to say about them: The Masaman Chicken was good but I think this curry needed a bit of punch (but that just may be me, as I typically don't order it as I prefer the flavors in the Panang). The Panang Curry Chicken was very good - I'll probably order this next time. The Penang Curry Tofu didn't taste like much of anything to me but that may be more the type of tofu used - it was the stiff tofu and I like the soft better (however the soft is much harder to stir-fry and keep in tact). The interior was spacious with high ceilings but a bit noisy - it was also very busy - I think we got there just a few minutes before noon and it was nearly full. I liked the decorations, sparse but tasteful. The restaurant as also spotless and very clean. I thought the service initially very good but the staff seemed a little overwhelmed and it took some time to get a water glass refill and our check. This was my second trip here and it was just as delicious this time as it was before. I'm not a big fan of Thai food, but they offer enough options that are 'Americanized' that I was able to find something that I wanted while my friends were able to get the authentic Thai food that they wanted. They do not offer a specific lunch menu, but all entree's come with a delicious spring roll. We all opted for the hot tea and it came in a beautiful glass tea pot with loose leaf tea, very good.
