We started with cheese curds. Loved that they were batter fried and not breaded. Very tasty and a huge app portion. My entree was the pulled pork sandwich with bbq beans. Everything was very good. Pork had a savory flavor and it was nice and tender. Portions were large. Topped it all off with a Hazy Little Thing beer. Great service. Easy parking. Just off a major road. Great stop.

He told me back then that someday we needed to check out J&J's. We love small business, local, non-chain restaurants. I decided to surprise my husband and take him to J&J's for Father's Day. We are empty nesters, so it was just the two of us for lunch. We arrived just after 12 p.m. There was a line out the door, which we expected since it was Father's Day and Sunday lunchtime. We were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait for a table, which we had no issue with. We ended up waiting less than 10 minutes because there was a table available on the patio. The weather was beautiful, and with summer being so short in Minnesota, we like to take advantage of it whenever we can. Our server came to our table shortly after we were seated, but it was long enough that we both had time to decide what we wanted before she arrived. I ordered the Texas Philly, and my husband had the brisket sandwich. We had to wait a while for our food, which we understood given how busy the restaurant was. Others around us were complaining about the wait, and those tables had a different server who was very apologetic about the kitchen being backed up. The hand-cut fries were piping hot and seasoned perfectly. It's so rare to go out to eat and get hot fries, let alone fries that are piping hot. That alone was worth the wait! My husband loved the brisket sandwich, and the Texas Philly was SO good--piled full of meat. We live in the south metro, but it was well worth the 30+ minute drive to get there. We'll definitely be back and will absolutely recommend J&J's to others!

Ordered delivery from this Capriotti's because I very much had a hankering for a sandwich. Perusing the menu showed it could be difficult to make a selection. I would eat any of their sandwiches except the tuna. I could not make up my mind, so I ordered the Capastrami and the Bobbi. First, I will upon receiving these two sandwiches - they are large! I mean, really large. I ordered a small Bobbi, a medium Capastrami, and a regular order of fries (there were a ton of fries too). A small was almost too much for me, and the medium was certainly a shareable, or an eat half now, and eat the other half later in the week situation. The Sandwiches themselves were good. The Bobbi with the turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce was excellent. More importantly, they offered a side of gravy. That really put it over the top for me. Who doesn't like gravy, right? I dipped everything, including the mountain of fries, into the gravy (everybody in the pool!). Definitely ordering this one again if available. The Capastrami would have been amazing if I had been able to eat some of that from my delivery. Even the following day, it was terrific. For a chain deli, it is much better than the usual suspects we have for chain sandwich shops, and this one will be first on the list when I want a sandwich.

Both times my sandwich was made by a taller guy with side burns and the attempt at growing a beard. I would use his name but when I asked him for his name on the way out he asked why I needed his name. I simply stated I wanted to make sure to give him credit for the review I was about to write. To this he said "I am not comfortable giving to you!" Unbelievable that this owner would allow him to work in his or her restaurant. Last time I was in got my sandwich and it was pretty dry so I asked for extra mayo. He said there is light mayo on there. I simply asked for extra mayo. He said he can't give me any. I then looked for a packet of mayo to which he said "If you are looking for mayo we are out!' I decided to let it go and eat my dry sandwich and figured he is just having a bad day. Today I was in and the same "gentleman" was making sandwiches. I was ordering from a different guy and ordered #7 again and asked for extra mayo now knowing it comes with light mayo. With an immediate negative attitude he interrupted me to say it comes with mayo. I said i realize that but want extra mayo. I continued ordering from the cashier and ordered extra hot peppers. When I received my sandwich I didn't see many if any at all hot peppers so I walked up and asked for extra peppers, again from somebody else behind the counter. He interrupted again to say "#7 comes with light peppers!" I commented back "that is why I asked for extra peppers." This human being should not interact with people in any job at all!!!!
