When the frame came I took it to Dr. Burkart's office and they put my lenses into the new frame. Early during the COVID epidemic, I developed an eye lid infection. I called Dr. Burkart's office. The staff consulted with Dr. Burkart and he suggested that I take photos of my eye so he could tell me if I had "pink eye" (a symptom of COVID-19) or a "stye." He determined it was a "stye" and prescribed antibiotic drops. He also had me email more photos of my eye so he could monitor my progress. In a little over a week, the stye healed and I have had no further complications. This group of professionals really CARE!! We will continue to have Dr. Burkart, as our optometrist, for years to come!

After an incident with the staff in that office, I decided to find a new optometry office immediately, and I'm so glad that I did. I basically decided to go with Dr. Steinmann because of Dr. Steinman's staff. Janelle is always so considerate and professional with me on the phone and in person, and Dr. Steinmann's assistant is a gem. Please excuse my brutal honesty, but Dr. Steinmann's office and staff are so much more professional and welcoming than the office and staff you will find at State Street Optemetry.

They have a great selection of frames and the lady helping me out with those was amazing. She listened to my must haves and my concerns and found me the most perfect pair that looked amazing on me. The staff in the ER are very efficient and professional and treat patients and their family with respect. If the ER doctor decides you need to be transported, they select a medical facility that will take the patient regardless of location. Recently, my husband was transported from Bear Valley to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs. The medical center has a horrible reputation, which I can now confirm, and is 80 miles from our home down the mountain. After 10 days, he is finally home. I will certainly think twice about going to Bear Valley ER again. If driving down the mountain to a hospital of my choice is an option, I will certainly do that in the future.

Once I got to the office, I was really impressed that they brought me in right on time with no delay. That alone is rare these days. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and very professional. The assistant did a great job taking all of my X-rays, and the dentist herself was excellent. She carefully checked all of my teeth, explained a couple of issues clearly, and took the time to talk everything through with me. What I appreciated most was that there was absolutely no pressure or upselling. She focused only on the issues that actually needed attention. Overall, it was an incredibly pleasant dental visit, which isn't something people usually say about going to the dentist. I can definitely see why they have such a strong five-star rating. As far as I'm concerned, she's the best dentist in Big Bear. I highly recommend Summit Dental.

The physicians I've seen in Henderson, Nevada, San Diego and Big Bear have always been willing to get my information when I came in for my appointment. Additionally, I've never been told that I would be responsible to get reimbursed from Medicare or Tricare. The receptionist at this office has a bad attitude and kept getting me confused with another patient with a cyst. I don't know how good Dr. Wickwire is, but his male receptionist is the worst.
