My brakes started making a scraping/grinding sound that started bad enough and within 3 days was unbearable and sounded like an airplane flying over head. I did not have a regular mechanic to help with it so I did some research on on www.yelp.com and found Erik's Automotive. There were a few reviews. 1 negative and the rest positive. (2 of the reviews say it is a 1 star and not recommended however they are extremely positive reviews and I believe the reviewer either forgot or incorrectly put in a 1 star). The only negative review was regarding a part a customer purchased and installed himself where he complained the part was not good. The response from the business was very professional on Yelp and said that this did happen and that they did not install the part and there is no warranty when it is installed by another individual/company but that they had fully refunded this customer. So I took in my car. Right away, Erik, the owner welcomed us when we walked into the office. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He looked at my car and brought in sample pieces to actually EXPLAIN to me what happened and why my rear left brake went out and the rear right brake was fine. They fixed it within an hour and at a VERY reasonable cost! I was happy with this automotive shop and will continue to use their services in the future as well as recommend them **Side benefit is when they test drove my car to make sure the brakes were functioning well they actually stopped at a car wash and washed it for me. I was on a road trip with my college friend and my car died in a parking garage. Eric came to!!! the garage and jumped the car. I followed him to the shop and he got it fixed within minimal time. He gave my friend a I a ride to our hotel at no charge so we could extend our stay and picked us up when the car was done. Absolutely stellar, impeccable service. I'm huge fan of supporting local businesses . I say that as one of the main reasons I chose Erik automotive for my car oil change. The site was friendly the service was quick. However, I'm Left with egg on my face as a result of my last oil change. It all started when I needed another routine oil change. Since my last experience was excellent I was about to visit Erik automotive again. However I received in the mail a one time 55% off oil change coupon to Gunn Honda. As a result of the large discount and proximity I chose to take advantage of the one time discount. To my utter surprise I learn I need my entire oil pan replaced which cost $1,256 to replace. I was told my last oil change was done wrong. Specifically my drain plug was replaced from Honda drain plug to oversized oem part. As a result my oil pan was damaged and was leaking. I immediately visited Erik automotive and the response was unacceptable. I was told they don't know how it happened and it's not their problem. read more

These Guys are Freaking Awesome! My sister got one of those group deals and was actually there getting a detail or something when I called her and told her my jeep was shaking and I didn't know why & was kinda freaking out... She told me she told one of the guys in the front and he said to take it by and I could get a FREE diagnostic! So, I did and found out my tire was separating and my tire rod was jacked... or cracked actually.. so they took care of everything and were very reasonably priced!
