This is my first time using Ernest Windows. The technician was on time and cleaned my windows inside and out. He was very polite and worked very hard. He was here almost 3 hours as I have a lot of sliders and big windows. He never took a break and my windows look great! He also had all his own equipment which I appreciate. I reached out to Ernest after seeing an ad in Clipper Magazine. They returned my request for a quote almost instantly and were able to schedule our gutter cleaning for the same day. They were punctual in their arrival and identified two clogged downspouts that hadn't been cleaned by the previous owner. They were neat and disposed of all of the gunk in the gutter. They used a blower to remove what little roof litter remained. The price was very fair for my one and a half story home. I will be using Ernest again this fall. read more

I tried Ernest Windows for the first time. I thought overall it was very good service save for two snags. When I phoned I asked for only second floor windows to be cleaned. The person I spoke to confirmed this and also told me the cleaners would come between 1-2 on the confirmed date. The date came, the cleaners did not come between 1 and 2. By 3 I had to leave to pick up my kids from school. When I came home at 3:30 the cleaners were there but they were washing the first floor windows. Thankfully they understood there was confusion and only charged me for the second floor windows. I would use this service again however my hope would be the time frame would be honored more closely and also the specific request for which windows would be washed. read more

I have used Ernest Windows twice before and all was well. With the pandemic it had been a year so I knew the windows were dirty. I sent an email on the Ernest Window website to no response. The next day I called and the person (I am assuming it was Ernest) said he remembered me but he would have to call me back to schedule. 2 days later I called again and again, he said he would call back that same day. Kiddingly I said "Will you really call me back?" and he assured me he would. a week later I called him back and told him I hadn't heard from him and I wanted a price and scheduling. He gave me a date and then told me the prices had gone up and it would be between $400-$450.00 for my home. I agreed. The following Monday he canceled and they came on Thursday. The young man at the door told me he would walk around and count the windows and give me a price. I told him I had already had an agreement with Ernest Windows. He told me the price had gone up and it was now closer to $600.00!! I told him I would not pay that and he and his partner stood around the driveway with phones in hand deciding what to do. Finally he came to the door and said he would charge me $545.00 but that was the lowest! I was so angry but at the same time we were having a gathering on Father's Day and I agreed to pay it but told them it would include their tip. They cleaned the windows ...just OK. My husband showed them areas they missed. They did not clean the window screens just the glass. I found in the dining room that they placed the dirty storm window right on my white carpet to clean it! I now have to have that cleaned. I paid them and after they left my husband pointed out to me that whatever person did the front of the first floor exterior..He broke all of the shrubs and stepped all over them until they were flat in places! I had to have my landscaper come over this week and cut quite a bit just to make them look even. It was a horrible job that they did and I don't believe anyone should hire this company. Extremely happy with Ernest Windows, Inc. Was my first experience with having my windows washed. I had a couple of cancellations because of the weather, but they came out early morning on Labor Day and got the job done. I really appreciated the fact they came on a holiday! They are very accommodating and the customer service is top-notch. The employee who came (his name was Al) was very impressive; he was polite, extremely kind and very patient with my little dog who barked constantly at him through the windows. He was wearing his mask and observed all the Covid protocols. He did an excellent job on my two-story townhouse. The windows were all so clean they were crystal-clear! Used Ernest Windows last year to clean my gutters and they did a great job. Called this year, and because of my schedule, requested a weekend appointment. They arrived hours after the scheduled time, and nearing dusk. They proceeded with the cleaning, were very polite when asked to better clean their mess, and finally left with check in hand. Much to my dismay, when I looked at the gutters that I could actually see, I saw debris. There's no way they should have done the job when they arrived so late and couldn't possibly have seen what they were doing. Shame on me for letting them do it. Never again!!! read more

The man in charge of answering phone calls is extremely rude and unprofessional. They switched my appointment multiple times, once because of lack of employees and the next time due to the weather,which was understandable, the third time around they let me know they would be arriving at 830 and didn't show up until almost 10am. The only reason they did show was because I called to see if they were still going to come. After they show up an hour and a half late, the guy on the phone starts to argue with me that my gate isn't open, and that is the reason they had not arrived. At this point I had asked him to just leave because clearly they do not need or want any business due to the treatment for their customers; to which he continued screaming at me on the phone. After I had to be the one to contact them and follow up, I should have known after the second time this company would be a waste of time but the good reviews led me to give them a try. read more

I called Ernest in a bit of a panic after my clogged gutters were causing water to come into my home. He promptly returned my call and had someone out to clean out the gutters the same day, even in inclement weather. He patiently listened to my concerns and let me send him pictures of the areas of my roof that I believe was causing the problem. They took before and after pictures and did a fantastic job. Horrible service! It took TWO appointments for Ernest Windows to clean my exterior windows properly. It was very difficult for them to find the time to fit me into their schedule in order to fix the problems from their original job (there were many). When they finally did send a man out for the second appointment, he was over two hours late! No call from him. No apology. He actually seemed irritated when he told me that Sunday is his usual day off. Hmm. My Sunday was interrupted, too, but he clearly couldn't have cared less. To summarize, there are many companies in the western suburbs that offer window washing and gutter cleaning. Price was lower than most other quotes for gutter cleaning and the job was done the same day which was a nice, unexpected bonus. Pictures were provided afterwards to show all the gutters were cleared. All the gutters looked to be cleaned really well and and they did a good job cleaning up after themselves as I didn't see much debris on the ground. read more

I called to get my gutters cleaned one day last week and got a quick returned call. The scheduling was quick. The weather did not cooperate with that scheduled date.
