Called the store around 2:40 pm to see the status of the car and was told that they were just getting it on. When I questioned that, the person said that they had alignment rack problems and would call when it was completed. I called back around 5:30 pm since I hadn't heard anything and that person said that it was being worked on. I again explained that my car was there since 9:30 am and had an appointment at noon. His explaination was that there was a lot of cars in for an alignment . I said, again, I had an appointment at noon and it should have not taken this long. He put me on hold and came back and told me that it was finishing up. He again said that there was a lot of people in for alignments, which I again told him that I had an 12:00 appointment and I should have been given that time slot. I told him what the other person said about the rack and he had no idea of it. Got the emailed invoice the next day and it showed that I picket up the car at 5:44 pm but now when I look at the invoice, all it shows it that I dropped off the car at 9:38 and and "Due at 1:00 pm". That tells me that the agliment "should" have taken an hour but I do understand that the techs do run into issues but I was never contacted saying the the alignment rack was down, they were behind or any other reason for my car to get done around 5:30 pm

Service manager said he could get her running good again. I felt pretty good about Carz R Us at that point. Left the car there around 830 AM. Didn't hear anything for awhile but got a call around 230 PM. They wanted me to approve ANOTHER $100 for diagnostic service. I wasn't aware of the first $100 fee. In all my years of dealing with automotive services I've never been charged diagnostic fees. I told them to cancel any more fees and I'll be down to pick it up. When I got there they told me that they were very busy and didn't get to my car right away. It was then that I realized that I'm not sure they even got to it. When the person drove my car out he was visibly pissed and came roaring around the corner and slammed the brakes then slammed the door. I'm sure they were counting on soaking me for more $$$. I took the car to a different local mechanic and he fixed the problem in less than an hour for $75 and zero diagnostic fees. Thank goodness I didn't let Carz R Us keep my car. Buyer beware!

Asked owner to give me an estimate to replace a side view mirror assembly. He needed to get a price on it and promised to call me with the quote. I had barely returned home and was called with his quote. WOW! That was fast. The quote was significantly less than another repair facility. We tentatively set up an appointment for the end of the week. (See my Tip) Asked owner to quote additional work and had his quote in less than 5 minutes. Set appointment for next week.. Following his inspection he informed me that I did not need parts and service that another facility said I needed. According to his quote for the work, comparing the same items to another auto service facility's quote, I will be saving almost 1/4 of the price plus approximately $200 on the parts and labor I did not need! Well satisfied with the responsiveness, professionalism and honesty of the owner, as well as, the work performed. Especially noteworthy are the prices - SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER than the "chain" shops.
