I took a 40+ year old Filter Queen vacuum in that had suddenly just stopped working. I can't say enough about how responsive and helpful the owner has been. She figured it out and I have my old reliable back. Frankly it is irreplaceable. We have taken our vacuum cleaner to this business to be fixed on November 20th. That said it would be ready before thanksgiving. We called before thanksgiving and nobody answered the phone. After thanksgiving I went to the shop on a Saturday. I was told it would be either ready at the end of the day or latest by Monday. I went back Monday before close and there was a different person who didn't know the status. He promised to call me the next day. Dan was the only good thing because he called me n December 9th and told me that the piece was ordered and would be here in couple of days. I called on December 16th to find out that the piece was not the right piece so they were looking for a new piece. When I complained about lack of communication I was told "what do you want us to do? Call every other day and say no change?" Yes I do!! Also I said I will come and pick it up no need to fix it. They said they will charge me because they opened it up and cleaned it so I would have to pay for that even though nothing is fixed. When I said what am I supposed to do without a vacuum cleaner since it has been a month with no timeline. He tried to give me an example of auto industry and told me this is how the service industry works. I am all about supporting local businesses but I feel obligated to share my bad experience for people who are looking reliable people to work with. read more

Needed a model and part specific screw to complete a repair that I had done myself on our current vacuum. I was able to show Logan what I needed and he simply gave me an extra screw off of a similar model that was going to be junked. He politely declined my offer to pay and thanked me for stopping in. With customer service like that, I will definitely consider Erv's when it comes time to replace the current model of vacuum. Thanks Logan!! read more

Erv's is the best!!! Our Dyson stopped working so my husband stopped in to see about having it fixed. First it appeared that the battery was dead but a technician knew that certain models had a problem where the battery shuts itself off. He was able to perform a quick fix on it and then show my husband the trick to fix it in the future if we have further issues. Erv's didn't charge my husband for their expertise and were so kind and helpful. We have always had a fantastic experience with them and today was no exception. We have a new build and had a central vacuum system in our previous house and wanted it in our new home. I talked to Sarah during our house construction and they got it all roughed in. She's so honest and explains everything!! Then during the final stage I called Sarah to schedule our final install which was right before Christmas and the soonest she could schedule was after Christmas but she had a cancellation the week before Christmas and it got all completed before Christmas!! I went in to see about having my Dyson repaired for two issues.. it was dropped and there was a crack and the suction warning kept going off. I thought I checked everything but when I brought it in Sarah, she recognized this issue immediately and resolved my issue in a matter of seconds! We recently took our 2007 Sebo x5 in for a 100,000 mile service (ha!). Turned out it needed a new motor due to some moisture getting sucked into the vacuum by mistake several years ago. We were very impressed with the service, turn around time, and general oveall knowledge of Sarah - who knows all things Sebo, Meile, and several other high end vacuums! Honestly! She will give you the good, bad, and meh, of the vacuum elite. Price for labor was modest and Sarah worked with us on searching the internet for the best replacement part prices online. I needed to have 2 Dyson vacuums cleaned and one had a few minor repairs. The Dyson service center wouldn't clean them because of the pandemic. I've had a Miele Salsa for several years and recently needed the hose replaced. The shop where I'd bought it had closed so I needed to find a new place for service. I found Erv's through the Miele website and am very happy with the experience I had. The gentleman I spoke with was friendly and knowledgeable and even apologized for the cost of the parts since this was right before Christmas. I had taken it in for the repair but was told they'd check it over while it was there. During that check they discovered the filter needed to be replaced and I was called about this and the associated cost. It ended up being an expensive repair but that was due to the cost of parts (worth it, in my opinion, because I love this vacuum!), as the cost for labor was reasonable. The work was done correctly, on time, for the price quoted, by friendly people. All this would earn a 5 start rating on its own but I have to say when I began using my vacuum after getting it home it practically purred! Maybe it was just the new filter or some magic in their service but it felt like a new machine. I hope I won't need any more repairs but I'll definitely be back for the occasional tune-up. If there was a way to give them zero stars, I would. Trying to support a local business, I took my Dyson in that stopped working. I was told that the part that was broken would be difficult to get, plus expensive. In addition they informed me that the filter was so clogged they weren't sure they could clear the debris. And I was told that the hose had a pin hole and would need to be replaced. Wanting a second opinion, I took it to Dyson. Dyson fixed it for free and told me there was nothing wrong with the filter or the hose. It's shameful that a local business would try and scam a potential customer and unfortunately it almost worked. read more

Erv's is a fixture in Olathe. Chuck and Steve are so good at what they do. I clean houses for a living and wouldn't trust my vacuums to anyone else. I'm working with my 3rd Riccar from Erv's. Maybe vac bags are cheaper online but why not spend an extra $1 for local businesses. read more
