I have been taking my dogs to E's Divine Pet Salon for as long as I can remember. Why? Eve, the proprietor and groomer, LOVES LOVES LOVES animals, and she treats them as if they were all her own. I TRUST her, and I would recommend her to all my friends and family. Not only does she do an incredible job of grooming, but, over the years, she has adopted so many animals that people leave behind or drop off to her and given them a wonderful life, both dogs and cats. I reached out to Divine Pet Salon inquiring about grooming my 2 cats. They have never been groomed so I was nervous about bringing them. I was messaging the owner Yvonne for a couple days. She told me she could do next Saturday and to call to confirm. I called about an hour later and she was able to fit me in today. I brought my 2 cats in and Yvonne was excellent. She is super friendly and outgoing. She was talking to my cats the whole time. She gave both a lion cut and cut their nails in less then 30 minutes! I'll definitely be going back. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I took my dog here a few times. the shop is filthy and this woman also had two monkeys in a cage. They were her pets. My dog's grooming was never done correctly- always sloppy and i can't even mention the horrible "nail trimming". The last straw was in April. I dropped my dog off for an 11:00 am appointment. He was kept in a cage until after 4:00 pm because as she said when I called TWICE to check on the status "I'm very busy. I'll get to him when I can". Went and picked him up and never went back. I've been here three times before and had no issues. Until my most recent interaction. I called to see when I could bring my cat in for a trim and did not expect what happened. When I got on the phone someone other than Evaline answered, yet I could hear her in the background as if I was on speaker. Both of them burst out laughing as if the idea of trimming my cat was something unheard of. Their behavior reminded me of something you might experience as a child in middle school. Yet Evaline is no spry chicken. Quite the coffin dodger. The other woman isn't far behind her footsteps based on the unpleasant sound of her voice. It was like cackling school aged girls. One of the rudest interactions I've had in a long time. I'm truly glad her choices got her to where she's at now. A miserable crypt keeper with a tiny shop. I couldn't think of a better position (other than six feet under) for her to be in. Guess I might try to sneak in a laugh or two during my day as well if i was trimming animals behinds till the end. read more

Yvonne does a good job, she basically does what you ask her to do. I've heard she won't turn any dog or cat away despite any aggressiveness. I will say though... please be there to watch your pet be groomed. Or stay in the vicinity... I was told by someone about something that happened a few years ago involving Yvonne, and now I really don't want her to groom my dog at all without me at least being there to supervise. Overall, I liked her, and the price isn't bad at all. I just feel like it was a grooming factory, if that makes sense. Her vibes are alright, but not 100% trustworthy. read more

Took my German Shepard here to be groomed. She did get a bath, but that was all. She was not brushed and when I picked her up and pet her I got a hand full of moist fur. I had to spend 45 min brushing her when I got home and got fur all over my house...exactly what I was trying to avoid. Absolutely a waste of $45. read more

I'm generally an understanding person and I tend to give mom and pop shops the benefit of a doubt. But TWICE I've gone to this salon only to have my time wasted. When I made the appt for the 1st visit, no one cared to tell me that the state of RI requires proof of recent rabies shots for cat grooming, until I got there in person. I dutifully get this resolved and schedule another appt a week later, and showed up on time w my cat again. Except this time, the owner neglected to tell the person working that this appt was for a cat grooming for which the person needs another for assistance. I was told I can wait 2 hours when the owner might possibly return. Again a waste of the customer time. A great way to run a business guys! read more

Cat was shaved terribly with patches of fur left all over his body. One side of the head looked bigger than the other. Woman doesn't seem to care or listen to her customers when I asked to wash the cat and clip nail none of it was done. Only found out when I returned home. I had to go to a pet salon to buy some tools so I could fix it myself. Awful experience. read more

I love this place...I had a very bad experience at PETCO grooming salon where they said my pomeranian puppy was aggressive, I went to E's Divine Salon and they did an amazing job my puppy loves going there and he looks great...always on time and ready to picked up!... Waiting time around 30 to 45 min...affordable and good service over all! read more

I have been taking my fur baby here for 7 years and just recently rescued another dog and everyone there is so sweet to my dogs! "It's a disappointment that I even had to rate this business one star." Though I've clipped my pup's nails with no issues since I've brought him home, I preferred to have somebody who I perceived as trustworthy and skilled, Like E, do the job on January fourth. Her disregard for the general welfare of my animal while under her care, and the ethics driving her workplace are both equally questionable. Over the phone I was told the cost of clipping a large breed dog was ten dollars and the cost of clipping a small breed dog (like mine) would be six dollars. Likewise, I was invited to bring in the puppy for a clipping, as it was no issue and would only take a minute. When the puppy and I arrived at her front counter, an employee came to take the pup over to her. In less than thirty seconds, she had clipped his entire first front paw with no resistance on his part. Knowing how sensitive, delicate and important the puppy's nails are, it was nerve racking to watch her clip so quickly. As my puppy yelped at the end of his second paw, she quickly cooed him; "Don't cry, it's okay! You're just pretending, I didn't get you!" She paused, turning her back and pretend to start on his hind legs. "It's going to be six dollars" she said, turning her head as she pointed for the other employee to go to the register. I paid the six dollars and waited for the receipt to sign. She came around and gave me the puppy. I carried him out to the car and by the time I had merged onto the main intersection and had traveled no further than 300 feet up the road, I felt the warm blood coating my hand, and looked down to see it all over the puppy's jacket, the inside of my car door, my sweater and lap. Rather than trimming the overgrowth of the last nail on his other front paw, she completely removed it, cutting it to the point where a nail tip is still barely protruding from the skin. When I got him home I immediately tended to it, and began to examine his feet. In this process, I noticed that she completely left his back nails unkempt, not even making an attempt on them, or a comment to me regarding the incident. It's a shame that the service was this poor. I support any and all local businesses and gave her a chance before a store like PetJoe. I'm sad to say it, but if you want a half*** job done for the full price, take your animals here. read more

I feel they did a great job. The reviews do not do this place justice. I called on a Saturday with no notice and they took both of my dogs. They were busy and stayed late just for me. My Yorkie is EXTREMELY hard to groom, but they did a wonderful job, and even offered to let me come back if I felt he needed more. I feel he looks great, but really appreciated the offer. They were kind and loving to all the dogs I saw them interact with. A bit pricey, but I see all groomers have gone up in price, I guess. Would highly recommend and will be back! read more

I took my dog here today and stayed with her because I am afraid to leave her while she is getting groomed. They put her in the tub and after she was done getting washed, they left her unattended and she jumped out, fell and got hurt. I am in shock right now. I ran into the back and grabbed her soaking wet and was screaming at them. I was very disappointed with this place. I brought my cat here to get shaved and she was completely butchered. She had shave marks all over her and her face and paws were left with random long pieces. She had a lot of dry skin (like dandruff) and she honestly did not smell like she had even been given a bath. And I saved the worst for last... one side of her whiskers were cut off! My cat is extremely docile and I have been told by other groomers that she is such a good cat so I know it was not that she was hard to control. The only good thing I can say about this place is that I was given an appt the same day I called because the girl I normally take her to was sick. No complaints here. After growing disenchanted with Petsmart, I found a new vet and groomer for my dogs. My girlfriend tried bringing her Scottish Terrier to this place, and he turned out great. We now take all 3 of our dogs here for all their grooming. The prices are surprisingly affordable and the cut quality is good too. read more

They do seem caring but the woman who has groomed my dog doesn't seem to listen or can not groom my dogs head. The few times I have gone, do to my groomer being closed or tight timing she has cut the body short and left the head too long or not seemed to cut the hair at all. I will wait for my groomer to return from vacation next time. read more

Stay very far away!!! I thought I found a very special place to have my English Springer Spaniel, named Buddy to be groomed. I had brought him in to be groomed in October and I also brought a photo of the very specific cut for Buddy' breed. Evonne looked at the picture and said, "Oh, yes a traditional Springer show cut" and with that I left and came back very happy to see that she did a wonderful job. I decided to bring him back and four weeks later and today Evonne was not present, but the groomer asked my name and found me in the computer. I explained what I wanted and left... I came back to a SHAVED Buddy!!! Totally disregarded that he already has design to his cut that anyone can see. Not her, she is apparently blind, becuase she took it upon herself to just cut him, and hack him. I was devastated to see what was done to him. I would recommend that you stay as far away from this place as possible. Don't take the chance, I should have read the reviews for this place beforehand, my fault! They are fine for a quick non described cut and/or wash, but for a breed specific cut, NO WAY! The woman who did this heard the commotion when I saw Buddy after I paid, (which Evonne was there by this time and did refund my $48.50) the woman never came over to apologize or take responsibility. I would have expected that the owner would have at least offered to groom buddy for the next several months for free as restitution for the anxiety that was brought about by a careless, unqualified groomer who she employs until Buddy grows out, Springers hair grows very slowly, unlike other dogs and humans. Many months, money and work had gone into Buddy' grooming to get him ready for shows, now it will take at least a year or more before we are back to where we were before walking in there today. I know some will say, it is only a dog, or hair grows back... but it is not so simple when it is your dog and your investment of what I have described. STAY AWAY! read more

Although the appointment was done fast, within a minute, my dog left with not one, but two bleeding nails. The bleeding went on for minutes. Despite the over-short nails, he also had multiple nails that were much too long. They looked virtually untouched. Would not recommend. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. This place is absolutely HORRIBLE. I had a 10am appointment for my dog and by 3:30 still no call. I finally called to find out when she would be done and was told 5:30. I ended up having to wait there for another 45 minutes because she was STILL not done. Once I finally got my dog it was very obvious that she had been cut but not bathed as she looked gray (she has extremely black fur). When I got her home she drank two full bowls of water because she had been there for 8 hours with nothing to drink. Another woman was there to pick up her dog which was dropped of at noon and was still sitting in a cage and had not yet been groomed at all. I am genuinely scarred for the safety of any animal on the care of this terrible place. I feel terrible for my poor dog that she was left with these complete morons for the entire day. To top things off I have to go back because they forgot to put her collar back on her- you would think they would see it there and would call to let us know but NOPE!
