Authentic Thai food in Lacey?! I was very shocked. I honestly felt like I was eating at home. Not your typical Thai joint that serves the basic stir fry and noodle dishes. I rate this place a 10/10 in being authentic, coming from a girl who grew up eating homemade Thai food, take my word LOL If you want to eat like you're in a real Thai home then I suggest getting the jerky, sausage, papaya salad, and sticky rice. I also love how they have mieng kham because not a lot of Thai places have that. Everything tasted homemade and not too sweet like other Thai restaurants. If you like to eat spicy then I suggest getting a 3 or 4 star, they claim to be spicy than most places. I had to get a 1.5 because my boyfriend doesn't eat spicy but I added more with the spice rack. I will be coming here more often. I have already suggested to my friends and family to try this place out. We have ordered to go at this location 2 times. I really like their Neah Dad Diew (steak jerky) with sticky rice. The flavor is so good and I will probably come here again and again just for that. The flavor of their food is so authentic and rich. It feels like home cooking. The price is slightly high but if your looking for authenticity, this is the perfect place. Our first time there, we ordered the Goong Yang (Large Grilled Shrimp) and Crispy Cat Fish in Basil Sauce. My husband really liked the catfish and says it is his favorite so far. I really liked the seafood dipping sauce with the Goong Yang and wished it was a lot more spicier (ordered a 2 star) but I just added more Thai chilies and it was perfect! We recently ordered the Yum Woon Sen (Noodle Dish) and the Kao Pad Pu (Crab Fried Rice). The Yum Woon Sen was soooo delicious. The flavors are so rich and I couldn't get enough of it. I ordered it in a 4 stars so it had a nice kick to it. I like the traditional flavors with the lime sauce and spice. I will definitely order it again. My husband had the crab fried rice in a 2 stars. He liked his dish so much but could not handle the 2 stars. He still was able to finish his dish clean and plan to order again as well. The only thing I dislike is that I felt like I was being talked out of ordering a 4 star. I understand completely that some people would just jump the gun and order the highest rating of spice and underestimate the intensity of the heat which is why I considered the suggestion the first time we ordered to go. The second time I ordered I already knew the heat was manageable but it almost felt like I wasn't allowed to order a 4 star. And I am so happy I did because the dish was so good and I love spicy food so much that it was perfect! Either way, the food is worth it and we will be coming back here again soon! read more

One of the only restaurants open on this crazy hot day! We ordered the crabmeat fried rice, pad thai, pad see ew, nutty cashew, and the masaman curry. Everything was delicious. As per earlier reviews the quality of the food exceeds the exterior of the restaurant. One item to pay very close attention to is the spice rating. My wife ordered a 4* and the waitress made an attempt to dissuade her but she insisted on proceeding. One bite and we ordered plain white rice to mix in and soothe the heat levels. This is my first time here and ive had better authentic thai/lao food. This isnt a good place if youre used to eating authentic thai food. We got the pad se ew and it didnt taste like pad se ew, and wrong noodles. ( i also talked to the cook and she explained how she made it noodles, eggs, broccoli ) there is more to pad se ew than just that. We also got thai boat noodle and it tasted very sour and vinegar. The larb was very sour as well, like they put so much lime. The only thing that tasted good was the papaya salad. I wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

It was delicious and paired with a sweet massaman curry sauce. 5/5 - Esan sausage - tangy and savory served with accoutrements that go really nicely with the sausage - pad kee mao - really delicious! The little bits of egg was one of my favorite parts. The sauce was not super sweet like other places and I'd definitely get it again - basil leaf tofu (ka prow) - really balanced sauce. Delicious! Honestly had high hopes for this place based on their reviews and the menu options. However the food took sooooo long. It was just me and from the time I went in to the time I left it took 1 1/2hrs. Luckily I wasn't in a rush. The waitress was very sweet and apologetic about the super long food wait. I ordered a Thai iced tea which I got right away. But I don't know if I came on a off day or what. The roti appetizer took about 20mins and when I got it it was warm. The peanut sauce was hot but for such a long wait I expected the roti to be hot. And the roti was alright. Nothing to ride home about. For entree I ordered the duck over rice. Which came out like warm as well. The rice was hotter than the duck and the veggies were cold. Mind you the dish didn't blow me away. And for another long wait it definitely wasn't worth the time or the $15 price tag. This place is WAY over priced for the quality of food I received. I got the catfish in spicy basil and man was that fish good. Crunchy and melts in your mouth at the same time. My friend got the pineapple fried rice and it was tasty as well. The spring rolls were money, and the Tom Yum was the best I've ever had. It is a complete hole in the wall, and it's a must go to. The yellow curry was very good, and I highly recommend this place. I love Thai food, and I know the good stuff when I get it, having spent several weeks in Thailand - almost as good as staying in a Holiday Inn Select. We ordered the fried calamari appetizer, which was amazing - generous slices of calamari, with a perfectly crispy panko crust. For our entree, we both got shrimp pad Thai, which was as good as any I've had - plenty of good-sized shrimp, well-seasoned, and great noodles. My wife asked for no heat, and I got the 2-star; both were perfect. The portion size was perfect; we could have made pigs of ourselves and eaten it all there, but wanted to bring some home for the next day. It was all so good. This was my first experience with Thai Food!! It was so excellent I may have found my new itch when it comes to food. Amazing service and food. We got the Lao papaya salad, chicken wings to start with which were my fave. Main entree was the duck over rice. It was good like on the sweet side. My taste bud isn't on the sweet side so it wasn't to my liking. The prices were also on the high end although it was worth it. Consider us to be a returning customer. read more
