Delicous stop for us after a long drive with a few more hours to go. The service was friendly and efficient. Our food arrive hot and was tasty. I enjoyed the cashew nut chicken stir fry, and my husband had the stir fried rice, which he loved. It's clean, it's quiet, and the prices are reasonable. We'll be back when we're traveling through. On this trip, it was a blessing to find a wonderful dinner at 8 PM and get back on the road again. Alas, I was too tired to take any food photos, but it was pretty. I'm so glad I decided to go back. Based on previous experiences I didn't mean to return, but I was hungry and had no time to cook and happy I gave it another try. Their food was really delicious and service was fast and friendly. So far we had the Tom Yum soup, Cashew nut tofu, sunrise tofu, and Basil tofu and it didnt disappoint. Service was very dependable and friendly and easy to order online but unfortunately it's unlikely that we'll order from here again. First of all, we only ordered 2 appetizers, a curry, and a noodle dish and paid around $70. That's a lot, but it's also Washington. Secondly, both the curry and noodle dishes were really salty. We were quickly greeted and told that our food would take at least a half an hour due to to go orders just being placed. Normal Thai restaurant fare on the menu and claims of Thai spicy as a heat option. Decided to go with the Massaman Curry (Thai Spicy)and some Pork Fried Rice (Spicy). Food came out faster than thirty minutes. Curry wasn't great. Lacking depth, spicy--but not super spicy...but it was the chicken--not sure what it was exactly, but did not taste fresh. My son ate his fried rice without complaint. Both dishes were super heavy on the onions. I love onions, but just seemed to be a lot of onions. The lime that came with the fried rice had a weird taste to it--not fresh. Service was good...can't complain about that. Waiter was eager to offer recommendations although they were generally based off of "what are you in the mood for"...which may not help some people. But he was friendly and nice. Many better Thai restaurants in the Puget Sound area. I more than likely would not return. read more

My husband and I tried Thai Taste Restaurant in Dupont WA. We were extremely disappointed and will never be back. We ordered two appetizers (crab Rangoon and pot stickers) and each ordered a meal. The food and sauces were disgusting. Pot stickers are my husband's favorite and these were so bad he ate one then refused to eat the rest. The appetizers were room temp and the sauces were cold. Not good. Finally our entrees came and they were worse. We took a couple bites then asked for our check and boxes. My pad thai was lacking. My husband's Tom Yum noodle was just as bad. The server was somewhat annoying constantly tell those that came in how great the food was and asking those there why they weren't finishing it and going on about how good it was. (The lady in the couple next to us couldn't stomach hers either and asked for a box after only finishing a quarter of it. I know how much was left because she kept questions her as she did us when ours was barely touched.) If it were possible to give 0 stars I would. $67.61 down the drain. read more

This place is so cute. In the heart of Dupont, we've stumbled upon this eatery. If you're concerned about the price don't be as the portions you get are huge! They will accommodate your food order if you are vegan/vegetarian or gluten free. Ms. Lent, the owner was so cute. She came out of the kitchen to converse with me because I ordered a vegan pad kee mao 8 thai stars spicy she was the sweetest. Pulled over to try this place for lunch on our road trip to not eat fast food. This space is pretty small but we were able to get a table right when they opened. They do have lunch combo specials on the weekdays from 11:00am-3pm which is a big window. I got the Tom Kah soup, it was packed with veggies and had a fair amount of protein, but was very salty. I tried my husbands Phad Thai and it was quite salty as well. The staff were kind and our food did not take long to come out but it sure did not lack any salt! read more

I stay in DuPont often for work. This place is awesome. It's not so much a place to hang out, great for carry out or quick dine in. The staff is always pleasant and I believe the value is there. Big portions of food. I will be visiting regularly. Bad reviews are from a couple of years ago, and I just recently started going. One thing I would recommend, mild spice is a bit spicy in a good way and I like spicy food. Must check this place out. read more

I've never had anything taste as disgusting as the food I ordered a few days ago from here. We ordered chicken Pad Thai, crab fried rice for our dinner. The Pad Thai is super duper salty and meat doesn't taste fresh at all, the fried rice is not even better. NEVER AGAIN. Quick stop for some take out while passing through. Ordered 3 star Pad Thai and potstickers. The potstickers were marginal and the sauce was just OK. The pad Thai was flavorful, but could use more sauce as it was dry. For my take out order, it was done in under 7 minutes from walking in. So DuPont finally has a Thai restaurant, yay! Brand spanking new and they seemed to have their kinks kept to a minimum which is nice because normally there's a few flaws with new restaurants. We called to place our order and pickup was easy, though they don't have a sign yet so it's easy to miss if you're not familiar with the area- they're where fortune cookie used to be. For dinner we ordered the basil with tofu signature dish-medium spice , cashew nut with tofu signature dish- medium spice, Tom kha medium spice , pad Thai with tofu and no peanuts- mild spice and rice. My favorite were the cashew and basil signature dishes the flavor was really good my only complaint was I wish the veggies were cooked a smidge longer I don't love veggies when they're cooked but still hard but saying that I know it's personal preference because my mom loves harder veggies and thought they were cooked to perfection. Also, the day we ordered takeout the spice was on the less spicy side, I love my Thai food spicy so I don't know if it was that chef or if they gear more towards less spicy food, next time I'll go up a spice level. The PadThai we ordered for the kids was a hit with them, for me it was too sweet/ ketchup-y but the kids had absolutely no complaints. The portions are on the smaller side but still filling and taste very fresh. It's nice we finally have a Thai place local. I can't wait to try some other dishes out soon. read more

For instance, i felt like the pad see ew lacked a lot of flavor and the pad Thai had a lot of flavor. The last time i was here , it was amazing i can't even lie. This time wasn't even the best. So i order the coconut shrimp, the pot stickers and the Thai taste fish. Let's start with the coconut shrimp, i like how flakey it was and how you can taste the coconut. What i didn't like was the sauce that came off ass a sweet ranch flavor . That wasn't an good combination. The pot stickers were good, crunchy the dipping sauce is a little tangy but , it was still good. Now the Thai taste fish. . . I do not ever recommend ordering that. Please order the fried tilapia.The Thai taste fish taste like it was from the store, something you feed your kids. Like the frozen fish sticks just bigger. It also game in a sauce with veggies but it was vey soggy soaked in the juice, and all you can taste was the frozen fish. Never had an issue with service so i can't complain. Review based off three takeout visits. The good: Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good location, wide variety of dishes, rarely busy. Not so good: Quite small portion sizes and high price. This is right on the strip in this little town. Plenty of parking in the back. It's a small dining room, I'm sure most of their business comes from takeout and delivery. That said, service is a little slow. The menu offers all the standard Thai dishes. The prices are a little high but there isn't much else around here. Was a tad nervous to try this new restaurant but man oh man, so glad I took a chance. The food was outstanding! We ate the Tom Kha soup (coconut based) and it was spectacular. I've been here multiple times now since moving to DuPont last month and got a different dish almost each time. The first time I tried this place I thought it was pretty good. I got the chicken salad (Larb) and a Thai tea. The Thai tea was wayyyyy too sweet ! The Larb was good though. Nothing special about it but I enjoyed it. My second visit I got the chicken salad, pad Thai, Tom Kha and spring rolls. The chicken salad (Larb) was absolutely AWFUL! I took a couple bites and threw the whole thing away. The chicken was so dry it nearly disintegrated. The flavor was disgusting. I can't even describe it. The pad Thai had NO spice and I don't mean chili pepper level spice, I mean spice as in flavor. No traditional Thai ingredients. No flavor other than crushed peanuts and sugar. The spring rolls were edible but also the worst I've had at any restaurant. Don't even get me started on the Tom Kha. What a disaster. Tom Kha is my favorite soup ever because it typically has a beautiful balance of salt, spice, sweetness and freshness from the lime and cilantro. This soup was nothing but sugar water with a splash of cream. I wasted so much money on this visit bc NOTHING was finished, it was all trashed. I came here again per my s/o's request. I told him how nasty it was and he suggested I give it another shot and to try something else on the menu. I got the mixed veggies with chicken, steamed dumplings and he got the pad Thai and spring rolls. Once again, the food tasted like it came straight out the PF Chang's bag in the freezer aisle at Walmart. ZERO Thai flavor. My mixed veggies with chicken dish was severely over cooked. The veggies were all mushy, the broth was salty but somehow still had no flavor. The chicken was dry per usual. The pad Thai tasted the same as last time. The spring rolls were not cooked through so stilly doughy under the top layer of the wrap. The steamed dumplings are a joke. Two stars because they are quick. I've never waited more than 10 minutes. In all, just go to McDonald's if you're hungry and want a quick meal. This place is just a waste of money. Nothing is authentic. Nothing is traditional. Not worth the money. read more
