Clean, modern, new, larger. My nails were done by a male tech named Ben I think, and he did a great job and exactly what I asked for! I especially appreciated how he checked in with me on the shaping after the first nail. Nail Salon social contract has changed in the years I've been away, and I popped an earbud in to listen to a podcast- which was totally fine and chill and relaxing! I was offered a beverage when I sat down, which was a fun little upgrade from before. Some were free, some had costs. I just went with water, but I think Diet Cokes were free too. If I had to pick one thing that they could improve on, it would be booking appointments with an app. They're old school and you still have to call from what I can tell - it seems a bit discordant contrasting with how new and modern everything in there seemed! If they added an app for booking and payments? Five stars! All in all, I'm very pleased and will be back for sure!

Their location is beautiful on the inside right off Portland road by Roth's. They recently bought new furniture like desks & polish racks. Their massage chairs are great for pedicures after a long day. Once I bumped one of my manicured nails & they insisted I stay to have it fixed. They made sure I left happy. Plus, her air bnb side hustle seemed more important to her than actually working on my nails. I tried to justify the work she did for all the attitude. Like most people, I was a little nervous to dive into such a big change, but Danielle went above and beyond to help find the perfect fit for me. I didn't want to go too bright, so we picked a light purple/silvery blue mix and it turned out amazing! We talked about it ahead of time because the bleaching process to get the pastel colors I wanted can be hard on your hair and she suggested we hold off so she could order specific products and dyes that would be gentle on my hair. It was awesome to know that she really cared about getting it RIGHT instead of just getting it DONE. Other stylists would have just slapped on whatever colors they had on hand, but Danielle was super professional and knowledgeable and it totally gave me the confidence to do it. When I was in her chair, I asked about this cool art print she had at her station and I found out that she painted it! She's truly an artist both in and out of the salon and it definitely showed in the way that she worked on my hair. The dye process took a little longer than I expected, but she stayed after hours to make sure it was perfect and that I walked out the door loving my new, fun color. I knew she was awesome when she was doing my normal cuts before, but she definitely proved that she was a total rockstar when she did my big dye job. When I debuted my new color the next day, I even had multiple people that I didn't even know stop and tell me how much they loved it! I smile every time I look in the mirror!
