We brought our group of four to the Bank Heist room. The staff was professional and had an entertaining spiel to get the game started. Unfortunately, the many rules of what not to do, hindered us in finding a clue or two. We were a little too careful in moving and removing, things. Now we know. The game was solvable except for one clue that I thought was a little hokey. We had fun and are planning on coming back to try another room with a new group. I had left an item behind and I appreciated that they found it and called us right away so we could quickly turn around and retrieve it. Very nice. read more

My family and I just escaped the Florida man! We are a mixed bunch for sure. Our group consisted of two grandmas, a toddler, a preteen and three adults. Every single person enjoyed our escape room experience. The staff was incredibly welcoming and engaging. The room we escaped was thoroughly themed and well designed. The puzzles were sufficiently challenging to leave us stumped several times yet we were still able to escape. It was an overall great time! Thank you so much for the awesome experience. read more

We finished the Bank Heist game fast! Looked at each other and were like "seriously, that's it". We were 4 adults that had a group of two other adults with us. Nice group of people. The game space was very small. They will book up to 8 in that room. That would have been a nightmare of people tripping over one another. As it was, VERY cramped space.The staff was nice. We did ask for one clue but it was not puzzle related but equipment related. Beginners may enjoy more than we did. We won't try another game here. read more

The business owner directly answered when we called to schedule. He is an informative and strong communicator who is rightfully proud of a high-performing operation! We appreciated knowing up-front that the room designers and employees want visiting groups to succeed and do not limit clues when groups reach an impasse. Staff were accommodating, courteous, and helpful throughout the experience. We asked for a last-minute room switch because we did not realize the staff intended to combine group of 6 with a separate group of 3, which clearly (looking back now after escaping the room) would have resulted in a crowded and awkward experience. A staff member set up the private room in less than 15 minutes, an exceptionally quick time given the amount of objects to arrange and hide. Our group enjoyed many laughs with the staff and among ourselves in the escape room. "Rocket Science" lends itself to a strong combination of intuition and guesswork, resulting in a challenging mystery. Ability to FaceTime staff via a tablet attached to the wall added a more personal and collaborative touch! The only minor dissatisfaction was the ability to hear Taylor Swift blaring from the entry area for much of the hour, creating an unwelcome distraction that detracted from the experience. This is a great family event especially with older children. It was me, my husband and our 2 teenagers. We did the popular Jail Break one. Do not over think it. Owner/staff will be watching you via cameras and will give you clues if you're struggling. The escape adventure is an hour long. Have fun! Great staff. read more

We were looking for something new and interesting to do for a family of 6 (2 teenagers and 4 adults), but after spending about $200 for one hour, we ran out of time and they told us the answer to the riddle we struggled to solve. I left the business feeling stupid, deflated and feeling very sorry to waste that much money without feeling any sense of accomplishment. The staff person was nice but that didn't help to improve my experience. If you have unlimited money and time, maybe this business is for you. If not, don't waste your time. read more

Fun. I really didn't want to go, but I had fun. It was family vacation and cooperation just isn't always our strong suit. Despite my lack of enthusiasm, the dude at the welcome desk gave us helpful info, offered to share clues via knock if necessary (we needed his help later), he handcuffed us all and sent us into the jail cell. Our family overcame, found clues and keys and with minutes to spare we escaped! Because the clues were challenging enough to be interesting and not too hard that we escaped, I recommend this to anyone in the area looking for a fun hour or so. read more

ESCAPE is the perfect description for this fantastic activity. This game activity is truly an escape from the world, even if its just for an hour. I highly recommend doing this with a fun group of friends rain or shine. From the moment my friends and I walked through the door, it was nothing less of friendly customer service, lots of laughs and memories. The game was very thought provoking and allows your group to see how well they work together. You have an hour to solve the mystery and escape. We decided to go to Escape Cocoa very last minute and loved every bit. The staff was very friendly and great at explaining things to a first timer. We ended up doing 2 rooms back to back because of a cancellation that allowed us to! We did the Rocket Science and Black Dahlia rooms. I had a long drive in Florida and was looking for a game to do along the way, I stopped my search at Escape Cocoa Beach. The owners were awesome. I could tell before I started the room it would be a good one (I can usually tell based on the attitude of the person that greets me). At this point I've done around 40 rooms and I always think I'm going to crush it.... and I am always wrong. The owner Ryan put some real thought into his puzzles and when a puzzle is solved you feel rewarded instead of frustrated. I love when I ask for a hint and it isn't something ridiculous, instead it was a cleverly place clue that I overlooked. What was really amazing was the actually scenario. All four of his rooms follow an actual historic event. I did the Black Dahlia and I was impressed that the story, puzzles, props and atmosphere all blended together. Nothing was off. I would definitely love to go back to Cocoa beach to do their other rooms. Once I reached the 20 room mark I stopped trying to rush through them for the best time and started to enjoy the immersion and scenario. This is why Escape Coca Beach is getting 5 - stars from me. Would not recommend this place. We found a coupon at GatorNGolf for money off per person, which is why we chose to spend our money doing an escape room. We called and made a reservation and when we arrived, we were "not allowed to use the coupon" because we had booked over the phone and did not present the coupon at the time. I booked with the owner specifically and the employee when we got there called him, and he verified we could not use a coupon. Why even have a coupon out there then? They refused to just take the money off which is terrible customer service. It appears the owners do not care about their customers whatsoever which is why I would recommend doing something other than this. Very disappointed. read more

A very poor experience with one of their employees. We live out of town and we went there for my mothers birthday. She has never been to an escape room and was very excited for the experience. The rules were explained and one of them was to knock on the wall if we needed any clues. My brother knocked on the wall "too hard" and I guess a small glass skeleton head which was hanging on the opposite side of a partition like drywall fell and broke. This employee named Mary rushed into the room and asked who pounded on the wall and screamed about how we broke it and threatened to kick us out. We apologized and said it was unintentional. Not even 5 minutes later my 100lb mother knocked her handcuffs (on the same wall as she was trying to unscrew something and the same girl (Mary) came in the room and said you are kicked out. We tried to understand why and in a very hostile nature said we were kicked out and they will give us complimentary tickets. We explained that we were from out of town and would just like a refund. They said they could not do that and to call back when the manager was in. This employee then escalated the situation by telling us that "we couldn't stand" and eluded to us being intoxicated. The truthe had one cocktail at the bar next door because the two workers indicated when we first arrived that they were 15 minutes behind on our room. Some of the worst customer experience I have every experienced. It was clear the worker was behind schedule and was already irritated before we even arrived. I will be calling to speak to the manager tomorrow for a full refund. UPDATE: Manager was very nice and gave us a full refund upon calling after our visit. He also offered to give us a discount to come in the future. read more

Employee was so rude! She kept yelling "For real?" when we would ring for a clue. We ended up only using 3 of our 5 clues because she made us feel like we were imposing on her by asking her to do her job. When the timer ended, we hadn't escaped but had to let ourselves out because she "didn't hear the timer go off". She and her fellow employee were sitting at the desk, eating Cheetos and playing on their phones. She was so disengaged and clearly hates her job. If that's the case, she should quit. She's ruining other people's fun with her attitude. read more

They are super nice people and it's in a good location. A downside was that they revealed once we entered the room that there was more than one room. If someone was new to escape rooms, that totally would have ruined the magic for them to discover a second hidden room. I think the storyline could have been described better before starting the room to get people more pumped. A friendly suggestion: the Black Dhalia room is really a cool concept and some themed music would have really raised the immersion factor. A couple of the clues were in need of updating-some guests left behind their mark and it lead to some confusion. We will definitely be back though to check out the other rooms! read more

Coming from an experienced escape room gamer, this room was the least engaging room I have yet to encounter. There was little to no puzzle solving or the usual amount of locks/combinations to lead to the next step. Game masters were very inattentive and were not following the game when we required our clue. All in all we are en route to another game room company to fulfill our need of wanting to play a game. read more

I went to multiple escape rooms and had such a great experience. Tonight I came to visit my uncle and we decided we wanted to go to an escape room and chose this place as we thought we'd have a wonderful experience, but instead it was the exact opposite. We booked a room for a group of four and as we showed up we unknowingly were paired up with another group of four without being told beforehand. This place is very unprofessional and rude. When we called the owner Autumn to get a refund because we didn't feel comfortable doing the escape room with other people as there is a pandemic right now she showed no remorse and was very very disrespectful. I would not recommend this escape room to anyone and I was very disappointed with how we were treated tonight. read more

Went to complete the Dahlia room last night. 1- At $30+ tax per person for a 1 hour experience I was very disappointed that my group of 4 was paired with another group who we did not know about until we arrived. This was not clear on the website or we would not have done this. The group we were paired with were teenagers and 1 girl complained for the entire hour. It was too many people in a small room to comfortably move around. As mid 30 adults in our party we had a night away from our kids for once and wanted fun and mystery solving and the pairing should not have been done for the price we paid per person. Again this was not clear on the website and probably not the safest thing right now with COVID being stuck in 2 tiny rooms like this with strangers. 2- This is about the experience and the mystery solving. However when you have multiple parts of the mystery broken and/or not working it defeats the purpose of the story you are laying out. There was a broken lock to a hutch which had a key as part of the steps to find (hutch already was open due to being broken so that caused confusion and was pointless) and 2 broken buttons in the desk that were meant to be a spring trap no longer worked. I understand that things will get broken as part of this experience as people can be tough on things but as a business you need to factor that in and resolve to ensure a complete experience is being set for your guests. Again at $30 per person for an hour experience I expect better. I was personally very disappointed in this and felt it was a waste of money. Unless these issues are resolved I personally would not recommend this business at this price point. Edit to add- the manager responded to my review obviously not liking it. I never said the teenagers were annoying as she stated but it is definitely not a fun experience when someone complains over and over and over who is paired and stuck in a room with you in an experience like this. I had no way of knowing anyone was special needs as these were strangers and we didn't even know their names let alone anything else so don't try and make it out to be a customer who had a problem with being paired with someone who has special needs. Maybe as a business you should have provided reasonable accommodations to them since you were aware of special needs and I as a customer who didn't know them at all did not know and would never assume anything about someone else. I didn't know we would be paired with any other group until we literally were already in the room with them and had obviously already paid. When the experience was done, I wanted to get out of there as I felt like I wasted $ for this and I was disappointed. I have no doubt this business could be great with a few fixes to include making it clear you will be paired with strangers before you pay and get there and correcting the broken items in the room to ensure a full experience. Having said that the implied response from the manager about me having a problem with someone with special needs means I would not go back regardless of fixing anything! read more

Had a great time here. A great way to spend some time on an off weather day. Staff was very professional/friendly and only interrupted when it was clear we were stuck. The puzzle we picked was one of the more difficult ones but wasn't overly hard for two people. This was my first time doing this type of thing and I wasn't disappointed.
