This is one of my favorite stops in Redlands. Their food is tasty and filling with a reasonable amount of vegan options. Beer also great with options ranging from lights, sours, darks, seltzers and more. There's usually even a handful of options from alternative breweries. When they 1st opened they would frequently mess up by adding dairy cheese instead of vegan cheese on the pizzas. However for the past few years, that has no longer be an issue but just be mindful! So when Finney's opened, followed by the Three Stags -- I was concerned this place might get hurt. At first I think it did. But we just dropped by recently and it was its old busy self -- which is a good thing. I'm here to register a sort of warning to visitors: the Hawaiian spicy pizza is VERY spicy. You can't taste anything but the pickled chilis and the chili aioli, which rendered it not tasting anything like pizza. Listen, I don't want you to think I can't handle spice. I'm a regular at Indian buffets. But the sauce they put on this pizza should be offered on the side by default. Sorry to complain, Escape, but I'm hoping you'll rethink this. The good news is that management (Ally?) fixed it without an issue. They didn't even ask for the other pizza back. I think the kitchen was closed and they didn't care and whipped out a delightful pepperoni for me. I'm a Stag's gal these days but it was nice to visit this spot for a nice... escape. read more

A really cool brewery with a wide selection of beers and food. I was here for a friend's pre-wedding celebrations. They have a lot of seating inside and really cool patio outside. The beers are very well priced and they have flights for $9 (four beers) and $11 ( six beers). The Detroit pizza was really good- they are are a deep dish style pizza. While the beers were great, the seltzer's I was not a fan of. While the purple drinks looks really cool, I could not tell you what the flavor tasted like, but would also not recommend. read more

Enjoyed ourselves at Escape. Cool looking atmosphere with a lot going on. SERVICE: There is no table service unless you get one of the few bar seats, so you may have to wait in a long line to get your brewski. But proper planning and large ordering will get you set up. The servers are friendly and helpful. FOOD: We did not try the food this visit, but the Redlands Nights blonde and the Chardonnay was Fabulous!! The next challenge was finding a place to sit. (TIP: come with others so they can grab a table while you wait in line to order) CLEANLINESS: Pretty good. We just happened to grab the table with pizza remnants underneath, but the rest of the place was in great shape. And love all the pooches that visit!! We were in search of a dog friendly place for dinner in Redlands and Escape Craft Brewery was recommended. When we arrived we found a large welcoming patio with heaters set up to warm the area. There were a number of parties there who were accompanied by their pupsters. Our fur babies looked around at so many new friends! We were hungry and ordered the loaded tots skillet, the fire roasted edamame and shishito peppers, the hummus plate, the pepperoni pizza Detroit style, and the Yo Adrian pizza Detroit style. The loaded tots were really good with crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside tots covered with beer cheese, soyrizo, carmelized onion, cotija, and pico de gallo. So tasty! The fire roasted shishitos and edamame were tossed in a sweet Thai chili glaze then topped with cilantro and sesame seeds. Nice roasted and spicy flavor. The hummus plate included the hummus with flat bread and veggies. We are always weak for some yummy hummus! The thick crust of our Detroit style pizzas was light, fluffy and very satisfying. The pepperoni pizza had the pepperoni covered in a marinara sauce and smothered in mozzarella and Parmesan and baked to perfection. The Yo Adrian had the light and fluffy crust with smoked mozzarella, marinara, red onion, Italian sausage, basil, and roasted fennel. Very savory and delicious. Escape Craft Brewery's other claim to being a go to spot for delectable treats is the dog section of the menu featuring all beef patties available for order. Salad was bland and hard to eat. The pizza wasn't so bad but once it's cold it taste like movie theater pizza. I will say the food came out quickly no problem. The place is nice. Maybe not enough seats given cold weather + only so many indoor ones for a Friday night. I just find it weird how quickly they kick people out once the brewery closes. All the breweries I've been to do not do that until people leave. Maybe it's just not for me. We love this Brewery, service is excellent, very friendly people, attracts a nice crowd of people with no drama. The selection of beer is fabulous, with generous samples, thick crust pizza is a must try. My only issue is the bathrooms, they are gender neutral which means pee on the floor and seats from the guys. It's really gross and I often need to hold it or deal with it. My male family member also accidentally walked in on a little girl because she didn't lock the door (as a parent this scares me and my family member felt super bad too). I'm all about being gender friendly but men drinking have bad aim and they are generally inconsiderate with gender neutral facilities. Of all the local spots to have a cold brew, this remains my favorite and their beer for some reason never makes me feel full, bloated and no heartburn. read more

This brewery is huge! Not only does the interior/exterior have ample amount of space, they have a nice selection of beers and food. I came here to do some work and ordered a fruity beer along with a pepperoni pizza. The pizza could be good for two, depending on how much you can eat. The customer service here is also top tier! I was meeting up a friend of mine, as our yearly tradition since moving away from LA, and we always pick a middle spot either in the IE or OC since he's between Coachella and San Diego and we came to visit this brewery as we had both never been. The decor and feel of the brewery is very warm, I feel like I'm back home in LA for a second. We both got a flight and a pint and tasted some great beers. Visiting the area and met up with some friends at Escape. They have a ton of beer on tap, plenty to choose from and definitely something for everyone. They even had ciders and seltzers. The orange blossom blonde was delicious and a great mod to the city that's historically known for it's orange groves. I also tried the POG which was a passion fruit, orange, guava cider. If you like really sweet/fruity ciders this would be for you. We also ordered a few appetizers, the giant pretzel and the spinach artichoke dip. Other than the addition of pico de gallo on top, I'm not sure what makes the spinach artichoke different from others, but it is the best I have ever had. The cops were freshly fried and coated in lemon and salt. The pretzel was good and when they say giant, they mean it! The queso that came with it was very good, but it doesn't mention being spicy and it is. Spicy wasn't a problem for the adults at the table but it was an unwelcome surprise to the kid that tried it. But it was quickly forgotten after some water and his own meal of Mac n cheese, which brings me to great news for any of you with kids, there's a kids menu! Especially if you're a family going person, I always see families here with their little ones. I know because my baby is always here with us too. Even doggy friendly! We been going to the original Escape before this one open, so its a pleasure to see them expand. They always have great beers on tap. I always go for their hazy beers. I believe they rotate their taps frequently. I always see something different and I'm here every two weeks or so! Food here is also amazing. Gotta try out their pizzas! It's funny how much one person can change your experience. Last visit I would have given it 4 stars ( I use 5 stars for over the top food and service) as Hugo was great both times, but this time Ally made me want to never come back. The beer is good as well as the pizza so when things are good but not necessarily amazing, it's those times, that it's when the people bring you in and Ally is not that people. Beer here- excellent. Ambiance is super cool too and they got fake grass out bank for dogs and cool seating. Dog bowls outside in front and back. I ordered the paradise fries, I like them. Pretzel bites however are not it. Too crispy. If they'd cook up the pretzel, cut it then they'd be delicious. My friends pretzel bites were way too over cooked. Never had anything bad here. I'm not a huge beer drinker and have only had a few of their offerings, and everything is fine. But all the food has been delicious! I've had: The bountiful harvest bites (fried artichoke hearts - so good!) Loaded fries. Has cheese, jalapeños, pico de gallo, and soyrizo. So good! Pizzas (cheese, pepperoni, and the drunken forager). All good! My only recommendation would be to put the pepperoni on top of the cheese so it can get crispy. My spouse has had a burger, and the Dude sandwich. Liked both but might not order the Dude again because it was pretty tangy. Overall a great vibe and lots of seating. Also pretty family-friendly. Yum yum yummmm this place is amazing! I've been going to escape since before this location opened and they only had the Nevada street spot, so I can easily say I'm a true fan! There's quite a nice selection of food and beer, and so far everything that I've tried has been delicious. The loaded fries are legittt!! Seriously get them, you won't regret it! It's big enough to share as an appetizer between 3-4 people, orrr all to yourself if you're about that French fry life. I've tried a couple of their pizzas, and have been quite pleased with them all. The crust is nice and soft, and the flavors combine together magically. The gluten free pizza crust is also pretty good too. I really appreciate that they provide that as an option. They also have vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni, so even those with stricter dietary needs will have plenty of options. I've tried the Moroccan Holiday salad which was great as well, just perhaps a tad smaller than I'd prefer. The downtown location is awesome. It's much bigger than the OG spot, and they even have a nice front and back patio. Just beware, they do get pretty crowded in the evenings, so plan for possibly having to wait for a table. Finally got to come try this place! I have driven by many times and have been to the original location on Nevada St., which was such a fun place to stop after yoga. This new location is really nice too. There is plenty of patio seating, front and back as well as inside dining. I love the back patio with the trees surrounding the perimeter, it has a relaxing vibe if you just want to kick back and enjoy a beer (or two). I came with my family and we ordered pizzas, which were amazing! They do have gf pizza crust, it's okay but nothing like the regular crust. Nice option if you're strictly gf. My husband had a beer and said it was really good! My daughter had a kombucha and liked that as well. Will have to come back soon! read more

I really dug this pizza! I'm an Italian at heart, and I loved how they weren't afraid to throw that garlic in there. Disclaimer: I don't drink beer, but I enjoyed a glass of rose there. This place is for animal lovers to be sure. Several people had their dogs in the brewery and there are even a couple of items on the menu for pooches. But the true star is pizza. We had never been to this spot before and were unsure of what to do... do we get a table? Does someone come by? There is no dedicated wait staff. Pro tip: have one person order at the counter and send the other to secure a comfy table. Keep in mind that most of the seating is bar stool style, so it may be more difficult for older adults, kids and persons with disabilities. We started at a high table, but relocated to a regular table once another party left. We went on a Saturday and maybe it's me, but this place was too loud. I found it super overstimulating. How have I not already Yelped this place?!! Time to rectify this!! If you don't already know, Redlands is becoming quite a little gem when it comes to Craft Beer. It is the home of 3 very high-quality breweries (Hangar 24, Ritual, and Escape). Escape Craft Brewery is by no means the "new kid on the block", either. They've had another location in Redlands, called the Barrel House (their first location), on Nevada St. for around a decade now. This location is on Oriental Ave, next to J. Riley and near the Look Theatre. First...about the building itself. When Escape decided it was time to expand its operations, it chose this building to renovate and open up in. The building is over 120 years old and has many things in its past, including an auto repair garage and an orange packing building. This building has been a part of Redlands history almost since the town's inception. One of their reasons for doing this was to more closely integrate the business with Redlands' history. They did a fantastic job of renovating the building and making it all theirs. There's plenty of seating inside as well as a patio outside to enjoy food and beet during California's mild Springs and Autumns. As an aside. It's a testament to Escape's integrity that they kept the original, smaller location on Nevada St. open. They could have very easily closed it when this larger location opened; but chose not to. Thankfully, both locations seem to be equally busy. Their beers as always are top-notch. From their signature Redlands Nights and Sakura Cherry Wheat to their more aggressive and hoppy IPAs. They also feature seltzers, wine, and prosecco for those who aren't fond of beer. My personal favorite is a beer called Moon Pigeon. If they have this in stock, YOU MUST TRY IT!! This location also has a full kitchen and a pretty decent menu I will admit that their food selection and quality were a bit sketchy since they first opened, but they have worked on improving the number of selections as well as the quality. They now feature a good selection of starters, salads, burgers, and pizzas (more on those in a moment!). They are very dog friendly and even offer menu selections for our 4-legged furry friends! Their pizzas are the highlight of their food menu. They come in two styles, New York and Detroit. I prefer the Detroit cause the toppings go all the way to the edge. They have about 10 different kinds of pizzas including a breakfast one! My personal fave is the "Yo Adrian!", Detroit Style. Their pizzas are as good as any I've had and are very sharable. They even feature some vegetarian pizza options! Their prices are a bit pricey on their food but not overly so. The quality of their food balances it out. My only wee complaint here is the dreaded parking lot of doom. Escape shares a parking lot with J. Riley Craft Distillery, and as such makes parking a challenge; especially on the weekend. There are also TWO Handicapped spots, one for Escape and another for J. Riley. No Bueno. There are spots here for EV parking, which is nice. I just think the parking situation could have been thought out better, though I don't blame Escape at all for this. There IS a spill-over parking lot across the street that makes things easier, as well as a parking structure on Stuart a short walk away. Certainly worth a try if you are in the downtown area. read more

Liked it till i saw the bathrooms. Very casual place but in a fun part of town, lots of families were there during the day. Staff was nice and helpful only tried a couple of things on the menu and they were good and the food around us looked good. Had a pumpkin desert they served in a small jar that was really tasty. Lots of beer choices. . Im a wheat beer person but there was only one on the menu and it was a odd one. Im not a big beer drinker, so dont go by me on this one. Everything was pretty good till i saw the bathroom situation. I probably wont go back on just that alone. Pretty inportant in a beer place. Its like Starbucks, individual unisex just toilet rooms in a row and a waiting area in front of them with a long trough style sink for all to wash their hands. I dont think there was a mirrorr anywhere but there could have been. This is a really cool stop to hang with your friends while having some food and beer. They have a really good selection of food including New York and Detroit style pizzas. Get shorty is my fav! With the beef short rib and mozzarella cheese. The corn fritters are pretty good too. They have a wide selection of beers to choose from including guest breweries which you can sample in either a 4 cup or 6 cup sampler. The wine slushees are also really tasty.
