I didn't know which beers I wanted to try for my flight, so I told the person taking my order I drink a little bit of everything and wanted her to choose her favorite beers for me. She chose one from each category. They were all tasty! (This is coming from someone who drinks crafts, stouts, IPAs, etc.) The fries were also really good with a slight kick; just enough to add a lil razzle dazzle. They have a wide selection of beers to choose from including guest breweries which you can sample in either a 4 cup or 6 cup sampler. The wine slushees are also really tasty. The food and service were good. My friend and I both had a wedge salad and the dog had a raw burger patty. The only thing that wasn't good was the volume of the music. There were only a few customers (noon on a Tuesday) and it was so loud we had to yell to have a conversation. I had a massive headache when I left, even though they turned it down twice. First time here. Pretty cool place. Perfect for a laid back hang out. You walk in, order drinks and food inside then can sit indoors or outdoors till your food is ready. Can keep tab open or order each time you walk up to the counter. You get your drink right there and then wait for the food.. No real table service which I thought added to the chill vibe of the place. Their street corn is delicious and genius. They have salads, pizzas and a burger with vegan options. Got the hawaiian pizza and watermelon salad to share. Their food is really good. They have video games/games indoors. They have a backpatio that has small seating areas but the larger outdoor seating area is in the front. There are little couple swings too which is really cute. Escape is a ~30 minute drive for us, but we've decided it is well worth it. The space is nice - a lot of outdoor areas, spread out indoor areas, well decorated. The beer is very good, and they do some interesting brews. Typically we don't love sweeter beers... so we were nervous to try beers that said "Almond joy" or "coffee, chocolate & vanilla" ... but these were some of the best flavors there. We also tried the hatch chilli beer, which was unexpectedly tasty, the civil disturbance - a very drinkable west coast IPA, the Sakura, again "cherry blossom" had us nervous, but it was really a nice flavor... The space pirate was an easy to drink hazy. We'd definitely make the drive for these unusual flavors. The food is also interesting. We were unsure what to expect on the "detroit style pizza" ... but the bartender reassured us. She was dead on. The crust of the pizza, being made with parmesan, was amazing. The snap peas and shishito peppers were very interesting (in a good way) and the Moroccan salad was also a nice mix of flavors. Most importantly, the staff are super friendly. Our time there was much more enjoyable because everyone there is super helpful, and really knows their stuff. We are very happy to have found this place... and would definitely suggest checking it out! read more

I've watched and tasted their beer go from great to amazing and now they have their 2nd location open in Redlands and it is absolutely incredible. They have curated a highly original restaurant and taproom which also does rotating guest taps. The food really sticks out here: delicious apps like the Elojito (baby corn Mexican street corn style) and salads to pair with pizza (New York or Detroit style- both awesome), a double burger or even dessert like the dough boys (fried dough, benet style with cinnamon sugar and fudge toppings!). First of all, this location is legit. Loved the open feel of it and all of the seating. Since it was our first time, the lovely lady who helped us listened to our preferences and suggested some options she thought we would like and she was spot on. Y'all I can't remember the names because I waited too many days to post this but they were all A++ that much I can tell you. Honest, non-jaded Redlands local review. Here's the lowdown on Esacpe's new downtown location. Visited 7/3/2021 for lunch to try their new location and new food venture. It was severely underwhelming. The location is nice. Very open and lots space and seating. You get the vibe they are going for. However after you've taken in the visual aspects the hype train ends there. The beer selection is way lacking, of Escape's tap list only a handful of the beers on tap actual their own. The other beers on tap are guest taps(other breweries) . Now while this isn't uncommon, usually the location brewery has a lot more variety and less guest tap options. The idea having a good new location is to sell "your" beer not other peoples beer. To put this inpersepctive, another newly opened Redland's brewery has 24 beers on tap, all their own. Now on to the food, this part I was really excited for but left broken hearted in the end. The prices seemed high so I was expecting some higher quality..... I should have known better. Went to get a Yo Adrian Detroit pizza only to be told they were out of sausage and mushroom. How do you run out of pizza topping ingredients on a Saturday afternoon? Thats restaurant management 101. I settled for just a Pepperoni Detroit pizza. When I received it, it looked great... but looks are decieving. What I got was a pizza with red sauce with no character, a cheese blend that was bland as all hell and very very undercooked pepperoni. The only thing this pizza had going for was the dough. Yet again another disappointment. Clearly they need some help. This is a local place for those who like to only stay local. Its great concept that is very poorly executed. At least the bar is set low so that should someone else try to replicate this idea they may have no trouble at all competing. read more

We had this place yesterday and was Delighted with everything that we had. We had a 6 beer sampler. And also tried the pizza New York style. And a side of brussels sprouts and we cannot have enough. The pizza was perfectly crunchy the flavor of the pizza with the pickled onions was a perfect match. The Brussel sprouts were also a hit. Escape Craft Brewery Downtown Oasis place to relax and unwind with a nice cold beer and some great bar style appetizers or meal. During my visit I tried three drinks, I tried their slushy- "Lushie" called Mango Rosé and it is very yummy! It's lightly sweetened, fruity, you can definitely taste the mango and rosé all at once. It's icy, refreshing and it hits the spot as a opener for a night out. I also tried The Hatch Awakens IPA, I do not usually drink IPAs but I was so curious that I tried it and I have to admit it was surprisingly delicious! The aroma is hoppy, spicy and roasty , but it is not spicy to drink it's a tiny bit bitter, smooth & refreshing! The Hatch is a medium body type of beer don't let the copper color frighten you off it's milder than you think! The Hatch is a seasonal beer so go out and try it if you can while it's still available. I also tried the Sounds of Summer, it's actually a lot more tart than expected, with a fruity, sour aroma. It is a golden color beer, it has a light body taste but it's not for me..but I'm sure there's people out there that like a tart beer. Sounds of Summer does have a slight fruity taste, and after a few sips gets easier to drink, but not my jam. Being that it's hatch chili season we decided to try the Revenge of the Hatch pizza! You can order it in two ways either New York style or Detroit style and we went with Detroit. It is one of my favorite pizzas now, and they should really consider keeping it on the menu it's so damn good! It comes with diced juicy chicken red onions, Hot honey drizzle and micro cilantro. It is not overly spicy it is very flavorful, super cheesy and I'm not a big big fan of cheese but this cheesiness was complimentary to the pizza! it does have a slight pesto/hot chili mix of a sauce, so so flavorful! Definitely a must if you drop in soon! If not try it next season! The interior and exterior area of the brewery are very large and can hold large parties, it has a very modern rustic decor and setting there is misters outside when it's hot in the daytime, there is a smoking area outside and the bathrooms are clean and gender neutral. Escape is pet friendly and even have pup treats on the menu! I definitely recommend you come out and try to escape for yourself! read more

Tried three of their pizzas, the pepperoni, the white sauce veggie and the short rib, all were excellent! Vibe here is cool with pin ball and yard games, as well a great beer selection. I've heard good things about this brewery and have been wanting to visit. I finally got my chance this past Friday night when I and a bunch of co-workers met up for the night. When I got there about 6p.m. the line was very minimal and I was able to get my first beer with no problem. I ordered the "Redlands Nights" to start off and it did not disappoint. It's an orange blossom blonde with a 5.2% alcohol content. It went down nice and smooth. I went back for my second beer and holy cow, the line was out the door!! Luckily one of my co-workers was in-line so they ordered for me, but he had been standing a line for a good 10-15 minutes. The second beer I ordered was a "Juice Slice." It's a little tarty, with a fresh taste. When I tasted it, it was pretty refreshing, but after sipping on it for a while, I was ready to drink something else. The food was definitely on point, as the Escape burger was a huge and juicy. My wife and I split it, but I wish we wouldn't have cause I could have definitely finished it, and she felt the same way. Since we were both still hungry we were eye balling the pizza. The pizza looked amazing and our co-workers were devouring it. We will definitely try it on our next visit. Overall we had a great experience. Escape brewery definitely has the ambiance, beer and food that a brewery needs to be successful in this competitive environment. My only negative knock is that the line was extremely long during prime time. They only had two beer-tenders and the wait to get a beer was ridiculous. If you go during peak hours my advice to you would be to order a pitcher of beer if you plan on staying for a while. It will save you a lot of time and trouble. read more

Honestly such a breath of fresh air, I only have positive words for this place. The food was extremely flavorful, in particular the paradise loaded fries were perfect, the vegetables all felt incredibly fresh, and the combination of red onions and caramelized sweet onion is unmatched. The fries were still crispy 30 minutes after getting the food, and the soy meat was indistinguishable from the real stuff, but with an arguably better texture. The ambiance was great, very clean and very open, with a neat little pinball arcade with some cool cabinets! Definitely give this place a try, it's a bit pricey but absolutely worth it. read more
