My minor daughter specifically asked for healthy and made that clear multiple times during the appointment. Despite this, the technician applied Gel X anyway, completely ignoring her request. After realizing what was done, I spoke with someone at the salon and returned to have the Gel X removed and requested a refund. While they did remove the nails, they refused to issue the refund, even though the service was not what was requested or agreed to. To make matters worse, the charge for just nails was $84, which is unacceptable given the situation and the lack of accountability. Poor communication, poor customer service, and no ownership of their mistake. I would not recommend this salon to anyone, especially parents. read more

Came in this morning after having a horror story experience at a nail salon on US-1 (peep my previous reviews to save yourself the headache. Anyway, came in this morning had them soak off my nails done else where, they did a pedicure while they soaked my nails. I did the basic pedicure and it was just fine, Kevin did a fantastic job. He gives you a great massage and painted my toes perfectly he's got a great eye for detail, so after an amazing pedicure we went to his station and he went to it removing the old nails. He made it painless, and was able to do my designs and deal with how particular I am about things giving me plenty of diamonds to choose from. He suggested if you want designs to go to Hailey, but honestly Kevin did a fantastic healthy nail manicure and gel pedicure! I visited this salon with a friend as we both were in need of pedicures. There are a handful of things going on that should not be happening. First, there is no cleaning or wiping down of the tubs for your feet (only liners are applied/removed), at least from what I witnessed. Second, the techs use those cheese grater type of tools which is illegal in Florida as these can cause injury and spread disease. Techs applied lotion to our feet before beginning our gel pedicures, which compromises the adherence of the polish (there was no alcohol/dehydrator or gel bond applied to the toes). Techs also do NOT discard used sanding bands on their e-files between clients (these bands come in packs of 100 for a dollar) and instead reuse them. I was cut twice with the e-file during my pedicure (no apology or acknowledgment until payment was discussed and I brought it up then they "took off" a singular dollar for each time I was cut.... what?!). I also had to point out gel polish was on my cuticles multiple times while my tech acted as if they were annoyed and it wasn't an issue... this truly irked me because I feel like if you are in anything related to aesthetics you *need* to be able to pay attention to detail and I shouldn't have to point it out. I would not come back to this salon. read more

Have gone to Escape nails for about 9 months now since moving to the St. Lucie West area. Main issue the constant up-selling. Last time in was asked which pedicure I wanted. I said just the basic. What you don't want your heels done he asked? Of course but I consider that part of a basic pedicure is it not? He never answered but apparently not. Just a quick buff and done for this guy. Scented lotion is a $5.00 up charge to $34.00. Absolutely no difference in the pedicure or massage. Still a wham bam you're done and out, but with lavender scented lotion. Quickest pedicures ever. Last one was done in 20 minutes. Will drive all the way to the Treasure Coast Mall from now on where a pedicure is a pedicure for a basic price. No difference in the actual pedicure, just more massage for the up charge if you choose. Done here. read more

I sat in the chair waiting while they repeatedly took walk-in women clients that came in after me. I'm new in town, so this is my go to nail salon! I've tried a few others in the St. Lucie West area, but this one I've always gravitated back to. The owner/manager knows me and I rarely have to wait. The customer service is great and as soon as you walk in, you're asked what you'd like, and by the time you chose your color, your tech is ready for you. There are many colors to choose from whether you want gel, acrylic or a regular manicure. I usually get the same color all the time but if I ever wanted to change, I'd have plenty of options. I've tried many different nail techs and they're all pretty good. If I'm ever not happy with one tech for whatever reason, I usually made a mental note to not go with them again. Is been awhile since I could pamper myself with a professional pedicure, or trim my own toe nails since I had surgery on my right knee for a torn Meniscus, so I went to Escape Nail and Spa. Upon entering I picked my color, and was ushered to an empty basin and waited for the tech. When he arrived and we exchanged niceties, he almost forgot to put the plastic shield in the tub. When he ran the water and the basin was still filling, my feet had barely touched it when he began to work on my right foot. I asked, "Wouldn't it be easier to cut or trim my toe nails, if they soak just a tiny little bit?" I was afraid due to their slight length,that they would split or crack. He assured me it would be fine. As he continued while my other foot soaked, and my right foot was done, I asked, "Shouldn't there be bubbles in the basin?" So he finally attaches the cap to start the whirlpool spa to the tub. I thought to myself, maybe he's new. I'll be patient. Everyone has to start somewhere, or maybe he's having a bad day. So I asked, "are you new?" "No, been here two years." Then he rudely asks, "are you?" as he points his finger at my neglected toes. You know, this was suppose to be a relaxing experience, but it was rushed. The tech was rude and ill tempered. I couldn't wait for him to finish, he cut and filed one foot, but didn't do the other. When thru, he used a nail tool to puncture the plastic in the basin to drain it. It made me wonder if any of his tools were disinfected from a prior client, since he just seemed lazy. The place was busy, it was Christmas time, but that's no excuse to treat anyone in that manner. I should have walked out of there, or said something then, but I didn't know how to handle this. I've never experienced anything like this before at any nail spa! When he was through, he ran the transaction. I should not have paid for the debacle, but a scene was not what I wanted. I also can't tip someone like this, and didn't. As my toes were drying, I proceeded to ask other ladies who were in the process of drying their nails, for recommendations. They only go to specific techs. They make appointments due to these techs large established clientele. Obviously great service from them, unlike what I experienced. I literally just walked out from having my nails done at this place. The first few times I went I had really good service. This time was probably the worst experience I have ever had with getting my nails done. I came in to get the dipped nails done in a coffin shape and I swear I could have done a better job myself. Some of my nails are sort of coffin shaped while the others, I do t really know what they are. And they look like bubbles on my fingers. She buffed my nails so much that almost all of my skin around my nails is raw and one spot even started bleeding. It took her 3 different tries with the topcoat to get it shiny. All in all, they just look terrible. I'm not sure if she's just really terrible at doing nails or if it was just because of her being distracted by the almost nonstop talking to her coworker sitting beside her. My best friend and I came in about 7 and they closed at 7:30(?) she requested a polish change for her nails and I was just getting gel. I asked for a certain picture and if they could do it to which one of the ladies that worked there said yes. Would rate them zero if I could. I went in for a simple dip set. Dip nails aka healthy nails infers already it's most likely your natural nails which mine were. They were medium length and I jus wanted what I had on removed and a new set put on, no tips. I got the nail tech, Nguyen, Hep, not sure of his whole name, he sits on the left as you enter salon to the end. I told him these are my real nails and he proceeded to look under my nails to see which is why I don't understand how he couldn't understand they were real. I saw him cutting my nails and thought he was trimming them to remove the dip and I didn't think anything of it because I wanted them cut down a little because they grew out a bit. When he got to my middle finger, it hurt tremendously so I started to pay attention. I looked and saw that this man cut my nails down to the nub. I honestly don't even know why he would do such a thing. Then I looked at my finger and it was bleeding quite badly. He tried to squeeze it and acted like it was nothing. Like you just cut me, why would you touch it? And why would you cut my nails so low to the point where I was bleeding? The manager put me in another tech's chair, Tony Lu rather than her fixing it. He was no better. This man continued to file down my bleeding flesh and he also cut two of my other fingers. Also, he still allowed my bleeding finger to be dipped in the powder that everyone else will dip their fingers into. Then he tries to get me to wash my hands and tells me to make sure I scrub like he didn't just cut my fingers, like I'm supposed to scrub away all the blood so I can't post this catastrophe. They still tried to charge me full price but after I said something, the manager took only six dollars off. The flesh under my nail beds are longer than my actual nails. Paid 35 dollars to lose all my nails, get a chunk of my finger chopped off and have two bleeding cuticles. read more

This was the first time I had gotten my nails done here. I got a full set and requested coffin shape to be done, but most came out square shape. I'm not sure wether the application was horrible or the product they used to apply it wasn't good quality but the day after i got it done but the nails started lifting off my nail beds. Not even 2 days after they started lifting a nail pops off like it was nothing, then the next day another one and the day after that a third. It's only been 8 days since I got my nails done but they already look like I had them in for weeks and need a refill. I can honestly say I will never come back. read more
