We called another company to come out, it was obviously shortly after that the issue was not resolved, so we called Zack-Vac for a second look/opinion. They arrived when they said, the team went to each and every vent and took a picture before cleaning and then after- sharing as they went along. They were able to determine that the other company only cleaned about half the vents- the rest were pretty much untouched. All new tenants are subject to a "new" rate that will be, at minimum, $200 more per month. This community's leadership is more interested in lining their pockets than in the well-being of their residents. The exorbitant rent increases seem aimed at driving us out, so they can convert our homes into rental properties for pure profit. They have a peachy-fuzzed kid in short pants monitoring the property, one who doesn't even know who the parent owner is (nor can he address concerns if you don't "kiss the ring." Management's inaction and disregard for our concerns are unacceptable. I urge them to address these issues immediately, before they lose even more of the community's trust. The community has been involved heavily in legislation that has recently left the house floor on its way to the senate. They don't care about resolving serious issues unless you say "pretty please." If you look at the image, you will see that all of the concerns I raised were brushed off. In many cases, I was lied to. There was no arborist inspection---I work at home. I surely would have seen this. Also, it is curious they didn't tell me when this inspection would happen or that it did. It didn't come up until I was once again looking for help. Lantern flies exist in the world, so we can't do anything about the tree over your chimney. That's some impeccable logic.

I put out a small old nightstand, and a stand-in shower (broken down so it does not take up space). They did not take them for weeks. Even though there is no water from the outside of the house due to the plumbing tied into the bathroom remodel I was also told when I purchased the house that I am not allowed to wash my own car in my own driveway (I digress) I cut the grass, I got rid of the leaves, I broke down the trash further and moved it under and on the outer edge of my porch so it was not on the lawn and easy to fit in the trashcan once it had space in it. They sent some bozo on the 30th to do the stuff I had just finished on the 21st (in the rain) and they dumped my expensive saw, my lumber material and my expensive planters, and they trying to charge me $50 on a job that was completed. Jason from LCS showed up first and his customer service impressed me from the minute he walked in my door. I also liked the fact that this was a locally owned family company. When I received the estimates I found the price from LCS to be the most competitive for the top of the line unit that I wanted and in line with what I expected to spend. The other two estimates were offering lesser units, at higher costs, and the maintainnce fees for subsequent years were higher. The install was completed and I'm extremely impressed at the efficiency of the Mitsubishi ductless units as well as how well the install went. I've owned this 100-year-old house since it was a 70-year-old-house and, as you might imagine,…read morewe've had a few professionals at the house over the years and we've learned a bit. In this case, we needed to replace a natural gas hot water boiler and the water tank connected to it and we hired LCS. LCS had glowing reviews here on Yelp and I hoped they were true when we decided to hire them. I can say now that those reviews weren't glowing enough. LCS's attention to detail and their commitment to the quality of their work is amazing. Three anecdotes to give you a feel: 1) They were to arrive on day 1 of a 2-day installation at 8:30 am. They arrived at 8:33 and the first words out of their mouth were a sincere apology for being late. 2) At the end of the job, they found that the thermostat they had was not the one they ordered, and they asked to stop by the next day to install the correct one. While here the next day, they noticed a drip from the exhaust vent that that might possibly hint at a thing that, someday, in the exact wrong conditions, could possibly cause a problem with exhaust pressure. And they then spent the next 6 hours very, very, very slightly rerouting the exhaust to correct that fault. 3) Later that same day, at supper time, the new thermostat - which was working fine when they left - failed; it wasn't demanding heat. I called and they were back within 20 minutes with a new thermostat. The system has worked flawlessly since. These guys are a small locally owned small business. Just some guys trying to make a living. Jason, Jonathan and Patrick are the ones I know they're legitimate, honest, responsive professionals who are trying to do it right. Reward them.
