Haven't been here in a while, went Friday PM. Should have stuck to pizza only. We had Lasagna & a Chicken Murphy. Lasagna wasn't hot (heated enough). It was lacking flavor & garlic. (My own is better!) Would not order it again. The Chicken Murphy wasn't great either over a lot of spaghetti. We'll only get pizza if we go here again & go to our other restaurant locations for Entree dinners. Service inside was not good - outside tables were getting the service. No one checked back for 1/2 the meal to see how it was (& mine was not hot.) Very disappointing. Will not go on a weekend again. Only went because of the local theater. read more

We visit family in NJ every few years, and we always try to hit up this place. The chicken and eggplant parm are really good, so is the pizza. The side salads that come with the meals are pretty good too. My daughter said it was the only restaurant salad she's ever liked (she's 9). The portions are huge! I got two meals out of one, so you really get a lot for your money here. Other places succumb to shrink-flation. When you used to get 2 breaded chicken breasts, you now get one for the same price at other places. But here you still get a heaping plate with two pieces of chicken. Really amazing. The specials looked good but I had to get my old standby. My only complaint is the bread was different. Not real Italian bread but looked like something out of a can you stick in the oven and bake for 10 minutes. It wasn't great, and the dipping sauce was too sweet. The service was ok. Our server seemed busy and had tables inside and outside as did another server. It's doesn't make sense to me to give servers tables all over the place- seemed unorganized. She would disappear inside helping tables in there and we couldn't get her when we needed something. We were never given bread when all the tables around us got bread... we had to ask, and we were 7 people ordering full meals, and no bread? The bus boy ended up bringing it after we asked him. When i did this job many years ago in college we had stations and all tables were in the same vicinity. Hopefully the manager here can take note on this tip for better service. It wasn't the servers fault- she was running back and forth, inside and out. It doesn't need to be that hard. Give one server the inside station, and one outside. East peasy, much smoother job. A pizza spot that should not be looked over. Stopped in the first time due to a convenient location in Manasquan (directly across from an excellent playground fellow parents) and have kept coming back because the pizza is great. Sesame seed crust gives some of their slices a nice change of pace, but overall high level quality across the board. Specialty slices are well balanced and the plain slices are perfect. We visit this area of the New Jersey shore and try to patronize many restaurants and food businesses around town. This particular pizza place is in a strip mall in Manasquan, NJ, off of the Main Street. The staff hustle about serving really good Italian specialties to the folks local and beyond their community. When we noticed they add SESAMES seeds to their pizza dough, we were hooked and so, visit there often when on vacation. Have ordered several times from Esposito's and kept meaning to write a review, def overdue. Pizza is outstanding and the staff's efficiency with the pickup/pullup for to go orders is almost as good as going to Chick-fil-A. From the girl who takes your order to the girls who run the pizza out, it's a well oiled machine. On to the actual pizza. We're typically a thin crust, traditional red sauce pie family but when we order from Esposito's we HAVE to get the sesame crust. Their specialty pizzas are amazing, esp the #12, hot sausage, pesto, fresh moz & caramelized onions. It's unreal! Just the right amount of spice w/ the sausage mixed with a little sweet from the onions, the pesto and sesame crust top it off, perfection! Crust is thin but not bar pie thin, foldable but crisp. The other pizza we get is traditional red sauce, peperoni, mushroom and sausage; very good, tons of toppings. In fact, rarely say this but almost too many toppings (good problem to have). Next time I need to remember to tell them to cook it well done so the crust comes out as crisp as the specialty pizza. All in all, outstanding pizza no matter what you order but HIGHLY recommend the specialty pizzas w/ the sesame crust and homemade pesto. Service is phenomenal, keep it up! read more

So.. the hype about sesame seed crusted pizza is definitely reached with this winner!! Went here last week to meet up with some old gal pals!! First off all, I love a BYOB, so bottles of sauvignon blanc were most certainly on deck. The outside layout was beautiful. The tables were safely distanced, with sanitizer stations visible Great use of patio space, and with the lighting probably looks really nice at night. So there are so many items on the menu and the way my appetite is set up, I'd like 1 of each We ended up ordering the Bruschetta, Sicilian calamari, and Burrata appetizers! The burrata melted in your mouth!! Finally...the Hot sausage, mozzarella, pesto, and carmelized onions, the #12 Sesame Seed Pizza!! Amaze-balls!! O..a few salads so we didn't feel too too guilty. The Apple Walnut Gorgonzola and Pear & Arugula Salad to be exact! Ingredients were fresh, crisp.. and the dressings...yum! The waitstaff were very attentive and wore gloves and masks! The cheese pizza was a bit bland. Very inconsistent slices between my group and I. The texture varied between slices, yet I have found the pepperoni slice to have the most consistency. This eatery is on the far end of this strip mall off of Main Street and surrounded by multiple great businesses. We were happy to see the place full of staff who were darting in multiples ways between inside service, patio service and as we looked to see what pizzas were featured behind the glass, SUSAN approached us to offer some advice. This gal ROCKED with her simple yet savvy service ways. Between her GREAT efficient service with a smile and MARINO'S sesame crusted pizza, we enjoyed our entire dining experience. We started with two squares of ANGRY GRANDPA pizza which weren't too impressive for lack of taste and heat from oven. Probably would've been different fresh and hot out of the oven. I like my food HOT! $4 per slice! But the SESAME pizza with long slices of melted mozzarella and chunky sauce, topped with a circled drizzle of pesto and sesames over and under and it made me happy. Decided to stop in after reading positive reviews on their large gluten free menu and I was not disappointed. It was really nice to be able to have chicken or shrimp parm, calamari, pasta fagioliI, eggplant rollaniti and just so many other choices!!! I had the pasta fagioli and the shrimp parm dinner. I really enjoyed everything. I love the freshness of their red sauce. My only complaint would be that my GF pasta was quite overcooked. Wow. Service was terrible. The food matched the service. Ordered tortellini with light sauce and out came tortellini soup. When the server brought it out, I said it was drowning in sauce and she replied "yeah, I know. I told them light sauce but they still put a lot anyway." They offered to remake it but I didn't want to make my daughter wait to eat or have them spit in my food. Never once were we checked in on even though she could see I didn't touch my meal. When she asked if I wanted it wrapped up, I said no I couldn't eat it with all the sauce. She said "yeah, I know" and then brings the bill with the full meal still on it. I brought it up to "management "and they took $10 off... I literally had one bite. Maybe if she said something to the kitchen and fixed it before bringing me my meal this wouldn't have been a problem. Especially since she acknowledged multiple times that it was wrong. probably 3.5 stars but bumping to 4 cause as I write this review its mostly positive and I would totally order from here again. Given it was cold and rainy, we decided to get a chicken noodle soup. While you may argue, you cant screw that up - trust me, I've had bad chicken noodle soup. This was very good! LOTS of chicken and veggies and fresh herbs. I did get a chunk of bay leaf that probably should have been pulled out, but that happens. Very flavorful. the antipasto salad was excellent. Wasn't just iceberg lettuce that a lot of places give you. Plenty of roasted peppers and olives - something that some places skimp and of course plenty of meats and cheese! You get a choice of dressing but here you cant go wrong with your basic oil and vinegar. For the pizza we got the thin crust sicilian style. It was good though I would probably try one of the round pizzas next time. The crust edges were a little too crisp for me and the bottom could have been a little more well done. Yea, I know picky. but the sauce and cheese had good flavor. I actually went and picked it up for a change. Place is very clean and all safety protocols are being followed. read more

The cheese was over cooked and the pizza itself tasted like it had been sitting there all day, the shredded basil leaves looked old as well, it should have a whole basils leaves on it. Really good pizza for the area. Ordered from here a bunch during quarantine and was always really happy with the food. For the pizza, id recommend the #1(I think that's what it's called) which is basically a Margherita pizza with a drizzle of pesto. Quite tasty and I love the sesame crust. As for the subs, they have a lot of great options but the sub with chicken cutlet and eggplant is truly awesome. I've eaten both pizza and pasta entrees here and have never been disappointed. The true star is really their sesame seed pizza. I don't know why more pizza places haven't started putting sesame seeds on their pizza crust. It seems like such a simple thing, but it really makes a huge difference when it comes to the perfect pizza crust. The crust is crispy, but not burnt. It's not too thin, but also not thick. It's perfect! I've tried many of the varieties they have with the sesame seed crust and have always loved what I've got. In addition to sesame seed pizza, they also have regular slices and Sicilian, which are good as well. It's no surprise at all that this place has won countless awards for their pizza, and they are certainly proud of it! The ambiance here is also nice. It's clean and classy. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating in the restaurant area, and in the lobby where the counter is. It does get pretty busy, but I've never had to wait. The tables are nicely spaced apart so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of the table next to you. It is also BYOB which is always a plus.
