Walk up and drive thru options available depending on how much time you have or how cold it is outside - tres bien! Really nice baristas working here and waters they sell are the 24 oz arrowheads with easy spout toppers - top notch! We wanted to try out a local coffee stand and this was the first one on the right side of the road for a long stretch of highway 2. We were so enamored with the Bigfoot decor all around and the various drink choices. One of my friends had an Italian soda while the other ordered the mocha latte. The orders were taken promptly and we only had to wait a few minutes before the sweet lady working on a busy Saturday came back out with our drinks. Both drinks were good and we were all happier to have made the stop on the ride to Leavenworth! Though there are many roadside coffee stands you can choose from, this one has the most interesting ambiance and loads of space to park and stretch your legs if you need to get out and move about. read more

I would consider this a roadside attraction! A fun vibe ... with it being the place where they filmed a fun movie. Decent enough coffee ... Americano was meh but the Iced Maple and White Chocolate that the Espresso Master made me was super good! The view though .... that's what made this a super great stop! There were a bunch of seating options and although it's all pretty, the best was from up on the patio on the bar stools. We drove out here from Tacoma and were so excited because we saw a bunch of videos on TikTok !!! But unfortunately our experience was less than enjoyable, the view from the coffee shop was outstanding ! But the lady's that worked there were very unpleasant and unkind, I work as a barista at a high volume coffee stand so when baristas are rolling their eyes at customers and being rude I'm always in disbelief!! They also let their shots die and their drinks were mid. The truffles weren't good either, if you live close it's a cute stop but I Wouldent drive more than 20 minutes to go here. read more

Definitely a MUST stop if you and your family are ever on your way to Leavenworth. Just literally right off the highway and the coffee is surprisingly very tasty. My husband had an old fashioned americano and even that was flavorful. My iced vanilla latte with oat milk was delicious! At the back of the coffee stand is a cute little patio set up to take in the view of the Cascades. The stand also sells Harry & the Henderson souvenirs. If you are ever driving into Leavenworth from Seattle via Stevens pass, you MUST stop at Espresso Chalet. Not only is the gal that works there incredibly friendly, and they have your standard coffee hut faire, but it's also one of the filming locations for the movie Harry and the Hendersons. And, you can even 'meet' harry, too. In the summer, you can go berry picking here, too, I hear. Plus, my husband said his coffee was one of the best he ever had. Make sure you pick up some sasquatch/bigfoot souvenirs and take some pictures as there are some beautiful shots of the Cascades here, too. read more

This a great little roadside cafe with and great little outdoor sitting are that has an great view of the mountains and a waterfall. It also has some pop culture significance since the location was used in the filming of Harry and the Hendersons. They have 2 wooden Bigfoot statues where you will want to take pictures, a little Forrest path, a Bigfoot museum, a rest stop for pets, and tons of cool t-shirts, maps and gifts that are Bigfoot related. The coffee is good and lots of snacks too. The is a must stop if you about to drive through the cascades. read more

We finished the Boeing tour in Mukilteo and wanted to visit Leavenworth. On our way to the German VIllage we spotted this quaint coffee "chalet" and of course Little Harry! Stephen needed a break from driving so we flipped a U turn and came back here for a beverage and snack. The lady was super nice, but not very talkative. She made my soy chai and for Stephen his double shot latte. Prices were very reasonable, and there's 11 types of "milk" to make your beverage. They also have other soft drinks and teas, and little snacks like peanuts, slim jims, cookies, ice cream and such. The down part is their toilet is a portapotty (which I didn't dare to use), but they have a big area to let your dog relieve him/ herself. They offer walk up or drive thru, and if you want to see a bigger statue of Harry (from Harry and the Hendersen), walk down the path. read more

Convenient location and entertaining theme. Parking was easy and signs were clear. Prices are a little high, but the coffee was great and staff was very nice. My partner got a blueberry julius and said it was delicious. Lots of milk options available- soy, hemp, cow's, goat's, etc. Food options available such as muffins, ice cream, cookies, and more! Saw a sign for bathrooms and a pet area. Drive thru is an option too, but it is fun to look at the big foot stuff. read more

As if that wasn't enough, there is also a huge wooden statue of Bigfoot. This most famous of sasquaches is like 3 times as tall as the pimp coffee camper...and aptly holding strong to a snowboard. I have always stopped at this Espresso Chalet for a photo op with Harry from Harry & the Hendersons. You can't miss it--especially with the kids! They sell a large variety of fun Sasquatch knick-knacks from paw mugs to warning signs. For the outdoorsy folks, they sell various maps of the area and North Cascades. The surrounding mountains are simply gorgeous. Not until this last trip did I actually purchase a latte. While it was not the best, the barista was friendly and helpful in planning a trip to Deception Falls and other stops along the drive over Steven's Pass. They also have 10 different milk options available. TEN! Even a local goat milk. Talk about options. Two Heads Ups: -Do not to pull your car up in front of the chalet or you will be blocking the drive-up (I was unaware...and they will be sure to make it clear to you). -There are limited bathrooms in and around Index. They have a port-a-potty here for emergencies and you will be required to make a purchase. read more

Super cool spot alongside Hwy 2 to stop for a potty rest, an espresso drink, and some sweet goodness -- including an appropriate "big foot" cookie. We stopped by here to visit the site of the filming "Harry and the Henderson's." The entire time there was a line so we did not buy anything, however, as we were about to leave my daughter needs to use the restroom. She waited in line (patiently) to ask for a key to the port-o-pottys which are locked up while we were all in the car (with A/C ahhhh). When she finally got to the front of the line, the owner tells her she has to buy something to get the key then turned her away. A 13 year old. He told a 13 year old she could not use the restroom unless she bought something. My mind is still blown. We will never go back. read more

You come here for the novelty Sasquatch theme, the wide range of gifts and treats, the gorgeous view of the mountains, and super kind baristas.
