After a few unanswered calls to other companies, I reached these folks, and they were totally no-nonsense. They were available right away, and came to treat the house while we were at work. Their spray worked like a charm on the first try, killing the hornets around the house and repelling others from landing. When the warm weather arrived, so did the carpenter ants, and I called these guys again. I'm not sure if they're a family business, but sure it seems like it - the lady who answers the phone is sweet and helpful, and the exterminator was the same guy who had treated the hornet problem. They were available to treat the ant infestation right away, and even had a seasonal "service agreement" that covers pest control for the whole year for a set price (which, in both of my dealings with them, has come in exactly at, or under, what I was quoted on the phone). These seem like good people doing an honest business; I'd totally recommend them to anyone who wants to place one call and not have to worry about it again.

They treated my property and, while there were no issues, they had no problem charging me every month. Unfortunately, when I actually needed their help again, the service completely fell apart. We started having mice again in a home with a six-month-old baby, so this was not something we could ignore or delay. I scheduled an appointment and waited a full week. On the day of the appointment, no one showed up and no one called. I only received a call an hour and a half after the appointment window, explaining that the technician had an emergency. Emergencies are understandable -- the lack of communication is not. What made this worse was that they then tried to reschedule the visit another 10 days later, despite the active pest issue and the presence of an infant in the home. When I expressed my concern and asked to cancel my membership, I was told a manager would call me. No one did. I called again the next day to cancel and was told the same thing -- that a manager would call me. Again, no call. Instead, I was told I am locked into a one-year contract. A contract for what? Paying monthly, missed appointments, no follow-up, and no accountability? This experience has been extremely frustrating and stressful, especially with a young baby at home. The company seems happy to take your money when everything is quiet, but disappears when there is a real problem that needs urgent attention. I would not recommend Freedome Pest Control to anyone, particularly families with small children who need reliable and responsive service.
