1 Star - Unreliable Service When It Matters Most I had a very disappointing experience with Freedome Pest Control. At the beginning, everything seemed fine. They treated my property and, while there were no issues, they had no problem charging me every month. Unfortunately, when I actually needed their help again, the service completely fell apart. We started having mice again in a home with a six-month-old baby, so this was not something we could ignore or delay. I scheduled an appointment and waited a full week. On the day of the appointment, no one showed up and no one called. I only received a call an hour and a half after the appointment window, explaining that the technician had an emergency. Emergencies are understandable -- the lack of communication is not. What made this worse was that they then tried to reschedule the visit another 10 days later, despite the active pest issue and the presence of an infant in the home. When I expressed my concern and asked to cancel my membership, I was told a manager would call me. No one did. I called again the next day to cancel and was told the same thing -- that a manager would call me. Again, no call. Instead, I was told I am locked into a one-year contract. A contract for what? Paying monthly, missed appointments, no follow-up, and no accountability? This experience has been extremely frustrating and stressful, especially with a young baby at home. The company seems happy to take your money when everything is quiet, but disappears when there is a real problem that needs urgent attention. I would not recommend Freedome Pest Control to anyone, particularly families with small children who need reliable and responsive service. read more

I have been paying a gold service plan for years but this year they have not come to the house other than for tick spraying since April. When I called in November they said they could not send anyone until December 11. On December 10 they said the technician has an emergency and they could not send anyone until January 11. read more

Horrible customer service and horrible knowledge behind bat removal complete scam artists is what this company was. Justin promised us that the warranty plan we paid almost 2k for was guaranteed to remove the bats from my attic.... Well here we are a year later and they're still here.... Fast forward when they first came out some 19 year old pulls up gets out of their company van and drives off didn't say a peep to me at all... I had to call and complain. He then comes back out a hour later with some 80 year old who was getting on a Ladder not the 19 year old.... Then I asked him are you the one that drove off. Rudely he replied with yes I can't do this myself. How frigging lazy. If you ask me. The women who calls you doesn't speak English well enough and tells you wrong dates and is overall clueless of her job. She called me on Wednesday the 27th to cancel that day when my appointment was for Friday the 29th. When I asked why are you canceling I was told that the weather isn't good for today as in she was saying for the 27th the day that she was calling me. This is not the first time the office staff has done this I have felt it was better to communicate by email at this point. Anyways.... They clearly could've made their way out to my home today the 29th as it did not rain till the afternoon say 3pm ish my brand new insulation is now being ruined by bats and me and my family have to breath in bat crap because of this careless company. Morgan has the most AI automated responses to my email it's quite comical! I wouldn't even consider renewing anything with this company! Given the other reviews of bat issues with freedom pest if I was the owner I'd give up on trying to treat for bats whatever you're doing is unsuccessful and a complete waste of money on my end. What sucks too is the state of Massachusetts only gives you a certain time frame to remedy this situation! My wife and I have been a customer of FPC since 2010 and everytime a pest problem comes up such as Bee hives, rodents, a variety of ants ( from carpenter ants to nucense ants)) the great team of pest specialists have always been able to solve whatever problems that come up. The customer service is outstanding and sometimes very educational. The last time I had to use them was yesturday and was glad to see them still in business during our Covid Era. I do NOT recommend. Technicians are lazy and care not to do their jobs correctly. They were hired as a recommendation from a home inspector when we purchased a home. We were told there was no sign of active termites. After we closed on the property, we found a live termite nest. A second opinion from another home inspector revealed the issue could've easily been spotted by a skilled technician if a thorough inspection was actually done. This company is a joke. Honestly I can't understand all the 5 star reviews. I contracted FP over a year ago for a mice problem. There charge was roughly $700 for the year. A tech came and installed about 7-8 bait traps throughout my house and garage. I believe they came back maybe 4 times throughout the year. When I called for a visit this fall they informed me that would require an extension to my contract as I missed the expiration by days. This after not having a visit for a couple of months. I passed. In addition I purchased an exclusion contract for an additional $300. This consisted of 6 areas on the outside of my house where they installed approx. 4x6 in. chicken wire patches over a few utility openings. Since then I discovered several dead mice in my own snap traps. What they offer is worthless. The techs were competent and friendly during their visits, but it ain't rocket science. I shadowed the techs during their visits and watched them re-bait the traps. Since then I bought my own rodenticide baits at Home Depot. Save your money. They offer nothing! read more

We called Freedom Pest Control after another local pest control company was unsuccessful in finding the animal that was living in our attic. Debbie, the technician, thoroughly examined the outside of our house looking for entry points. She located raccoon paw prints on the side of our house and set two traps. The raccoon was captured the next day. After examining the raccoon, Debbie determined that we probably had raccoon babies left behind in the attic. We did hear the babies and called Freedom. Debbie came back this morning and quickly retrieved the two babies. I highly recommend Freedom Pest Control! Their prices are reasonable. Ask for Debbie. She's very knowledgeable! read more

if you need IMMEDIATE service - AVOID this place. Friday night we found 1 bat in our basement. We closed the basement door and said we'd wait until the morning to call someone. Saturday morning we opened our basement door to find 2 bats hanging out right inside the door frame. lovely! We called freedom pest control at 11:30am after getting a recommendation from the local town office. We went through to a representative who took our information and said we'd get a call back from the exterminator asap. after 5 hours and no phone call we called back a 2nd time, and once again were told they would get in touch with the guy and have him call us asap. that was 4 hours ago. Good thing this wasn't an emergency, we just cant go into the basement until the other company (who picked up after the first ring) comes early next week. if they want business, maybe they should call their customers back. just a helpful hint. read more

Had these folks out to remove a bird's nest and associated waste from the attic of my townhouse so I can sell. Christopher and his helper did a super job. Chris came over two days ago for an inspection, then today returned with his helper and equipment and had the job done in a couple of hours. Our entire household loves Freedom Pest Control and everybody who we interacted with from this group. We had a problem with bedbugs and everybody in the house was on edge. Norma, Tom and Joelle are all so knowledgeable and helped us to stay calm and gave us confidence that there advice was the best to follow. Sure enough, everything they said was correct and we were able to resolve the problem in a short period of time. One of my housemates was paranoid that the bedbugs were still there and Norma understood completely and sent out inspectors to reassure us that the pests were gone. I have used Freedom for 4 years. For Mosquito and Tick control they have been very good and very effective. They come back if i have issues no questiosn asked, they give god recommendations. With Mosquito born illnesses getting worse I recommend Freedom. I do recommend you take time to truly understand what Freedom's plan is for your yard ask them questions mosquito's and ticks are resilient, did I mention I Iive near 2 swamps, mosquito heven. My contact Norma has been amazing and a real differnece maker in my experience with Freedom. I refer Norma to everyone I know. My only small complaint is on the treatment for hornets and yellow jackets they sprayed excatly as they said they would and it worked on other bugs i.e spiders (not stink bugs) but it never seemd to work on the hornets and wasp. I know they were being careful not to over spray my house with pesticides which I thank them for but I wish they would have taken more aggressive approach. like maybe bring a ladder and knock down the nest. I had a mice problem they resolved it in 24hrs my wife was very happy about that. Good People, very good service. read more

Late October 2017, I heard noise from my attic. Freedom inspector called for bat exclusion and mice control. I bought the gold plan that covered mice and other things, which was decent. I also bought the bat exclusion even though it was 20% pricier than a competitor. The job was done quickly and poorly. The guys did not seem comfortable getting up the roof, and bent the gutters where they got up with their ladders. Before the one year guarantee ran out, I still heard noises, and a tech who came out for a gold plan included visit noticed bat dropping. I reported and two techs came out, went up the attic, but quickly declared no bats. One told me it could just be mice, and that he literally saw one go by as the three of us stood and talked, and I was to pick that up with the other department that handled mice. Yesterday, 1+ year after, I went up the attic after repeatedly hearing noises. Lo and behold, pile of bat droppings and evidence of entry and presence. read more
