This restaurant newly opened and so to had to try it. They have balcony seating which is outside due to covid. Tables are pretty spread apart. Service was just the right speed for our occasion. They came back to check on us throughout our dining experience. The margarita was excellent! I had the strawberry kiwi margarita. It had fresh strawberry and kiwi at the bottom of the drink. It wasn't too strong that the alcohol is overpowering the taste. I could tell it was made fresh and not from a syrup. The food was excellent as well! We had ordered the hanger steak. They ran out of that cut and gave us a different cut but it still tasted great. They also modified the price since it wasn't the hanger cut (which I felt was fair). Everything is made fresh, from the chips to the guacamole, to the main entree. I was full with my order. Just the right portion for one. I had no leftovers that I needed to take home. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was hot out! I had gone during the 100+heat wave. So at 5pm it was still 100+! They did put a ground fan out for us which helped. I would recommend a fan throughout the balcony. That would definitely help cool the balcony down. And of course the pesky mosquitoes are still around. My friend was bit several times on the leg and myself on the arm (I wore pants). The mosquitoes are not the restaurants fault but def wear pants when eating out. Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but I was curious to try their trio enchiladas. It's your local hole-in-the-wall type restaurant. Come see for your self, I am an early bird so I decided to beat the crowd, picked up my food and left. Definitely will be back at least once to see the vibe. Food was a little on the pricy side. Payed $43.10 for two orders of the trio enchiladas (they better be good) so, definitely a couples/friends thing if you are willing to pay for it. Food and drinks are decent enough, but the service is nowhere near even the bare minimum. Our waiters, hostess, and live music were absolutely delightful, but the wait time and manager were beyond ridiculous to the point of pure embarrassment. Our reservation was at 12:30, we were seated around 12:45, our orders were taken immediately. That was all fine until we ended up waiting until 3 for our food. Our final order came out at 3pm, but even then 3 or 4 orders were incorrect. We spoke to the manager, who I'm not sure was inebriated or just plain incompetent, but was rude and sarcastic. Another person in charge told us that we'd have our food comped and we can just pay for drinks, but when we told the manager, she started getting agitated. The phrases that came out of the manager's mouth were so unprofessional that it was nearly comical: when we let her know that we'd been waiting for hours, she responded with, "Do you want to tour our tiny kitchen??" or "It's funny how they wouldn't tell me that" when we let her know that someone already offered to comp our meal or "I already sent your table free shots, what else do you want?" or "Our food is made fresh and our kitchen is tiny." How do you get upset at a group for simply telling you, Repeatedly and honestly very politely at first, that our food is taking way too long? How are the other workers more well-versed in customer service than the person who's supposedly in charge? We watched a small power struggle argument occur simply because she perhaps felt she got undermined, even though she should have done that to begin with. The food and drinks are worth it only if you're willing to endure a painfully long wait and a manager who doubles as a terribly unfunny tableside comedian. We love to try new places and it's been difficult to do that during Covid-19. We decided to treat ourselves for Valentine's Day brunch and try a local spot. The location was easy to get to, cute outside and inside and we got a table in a corner secluded area. The staff was friendly but seemed to forget we were out there as we didn't get water or checked in on. We were looking forward to having good Mexican food and drinks. I am disappointed to share it was executed so poorly. The food was cold, steak over cooked , over seasoned, dirty water glasses, and it took over an hour to get our food. We received a replacement steak pretty quickly after we informed the staff. The replacement steak was blue as only the ends could be eaten. We got an unitemized bill for $100 and generally left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed . We hope the business irons out the kinks as it has potential to be really nice. Super cute place to have brunch. I'm sure it's super romantic at night since it's upstairs with covered patio seating. Unlimited mimosas is a must for brunch so we were happy they had them. This review is long overdue. Estancia at The Grand Conquista never ceases to amaze my family and me with their delicious food and presentation. Everything is made in-house, from their jams, syrups for their signature cocktails, and candied fruit. The food is high quality and fresh as it changes based on seasonal items. I  have had a majority of their brunch, lunch, and dinner entrees, and I can confidently say that this is the best Elevated Modern Mexican restaurant in Chino and Chino Hills. Every item on the menu is unique and delicious. My compliments go to Melly, Chef Jimmy, and all staff members. You can tell that they put their heart and soul into the food. My favorite item from the brunch menu is the chicken and waffles. The waffle itself is crispy and airy. The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They serve it with their seasonal jams and syrup, which tie all the flavors together, giving you a blast of flavor. Another favorite would be their pork belly, it's crispy, crunchy, and tender. It is also found on the lunch and dinner menu as tacos. Cocktails for brunch are so good too. Bloody Mary with in-house pickled veggies are amazing, Micheladas, and red or white sangria. My favorite item from the lunch/dinner menu is hands down the octopus, as it is the best octopus I have ever tried. It's so tender you can cut it with a fork, and it melts like butter in your mouth. The seafood platter is amazing with lobster, clams, prawns, salmon belly, and pork belly. Steaks and pork chops are perfectly cooked. The bone marrow is wonderfully seasoned with herbs and served with fresh warm corn tortillas. They also make the best queso fundido with your choice of chorizo, mushrooms, or both (I like mixing both). Their desserts are also one of a kind. They serve red wine poached pears which taste like a deconstructed apple pie, flan, and my favorite tiramisu with a tres leches fusion take. Honestly, everything is so good and worth the wait, so if you want an elevated experience and a modern twist on Mexican cuisine with high quality and fresh ingredients, please check them out! My office was supposed to have a holiday lunch at Estancia, but with closures we had to make other plans. Ismaela and her team went above and beyond to provide us with our lunch in a safe location. They delivered our food order, including cocktails with all the garnishes, chips, guacamole, homemade tortillas, and even a bag of Mexican candies. Everyone was impressed with the service. The food could not have been better! The flavors and presentation of every dish were far beyond most Mexican restaurant dishes. The cocktails were out of this world! I have been to the spot for dinner and brunch and I think that they still need some work. I believe this place opened up during the pandemic but not quite there. The establishment is pretty large. They have a lot of indoor seating and seems like a event space. They are never really busy, but the service has been very mediocre. We waited to be sat for about 10 minutes with no one in the restaurant the first time. They do have a bout a two or three hour window where they are closed during the middle of the day to convert from lunch to dinner. Please check out my pictures, but if you're going out for brunch the safest thing to order is the chicken and waffle. The chicken was seasoned very well and it was juicy. The server suggested some Kahlúa whip cream that was really good. The dinnertime meal that I was suggest would be the trio enchiladas. Those were pretty safe and standard, the best enchilada I was probably even mole one. Guacamole is good!! The other meals were either bad or extremely underwhelming. Some of the other meals that we got was the grand house hash, chilaques, huevos Benedicto, huevos ranchero. Overall I wouldn't visit this place. They are understaffed and need more work on the menu. I've been here 3 times since it first opened for dinner & brunch and I finally had time to leave a review. If you're looking for a Mexican restaurant that fills their dishes with rice and beans to mask their lack of quality ingredients , this is not the place for you. This is a Mexican Fusion restaurant and every single thing I've tried here has been delicious. I've tried their pork belly tacos, aguachiles, mole wings, chips & guac, enchiladas, hanger steak, chicken and waffles, and their chilquiles. All were delicious! My favorite cocktails are their cocojitos, mela mula and bloody mary's. They have outdoor dining due to covid but it's perfect for a date night or with friends. Dinner was so good last night we had to come in for brunch today and I'm still shocked how amazing the food is. If you're looking for something flavorful, creative and affordable this is the perfect spot. The restaurant has done a great job dealing with Covid. The tables were spaced out, servers wore masks and hand sanitizer available everywhere you looked. Last night for dinner I had the ah dios mio flight which was a variety of dips and chips. The 4 dips included a bean dip, chicken mole, guacamole, and a habanero dip. Every single one was delicious and my little brother's couldn't stop eating it. For my main course I had the trio enchiladas. Which included verde, roja and mole. The plate itself was a work or art and the mole is to die for. Their cocktail's are so beautiful and tasty, I can't wait to go back and try more. I had the whiskey sour and my fiancé had the Paloma Reyes and we were more than impressed with the presentation and flavor. All and all it was a great experience and their outdoor patio is a beautiful setting with their lights so highly recommend it for a date night. Now to get to brunch, we brought the whole family and even invited the friends and we had a great time! The bottomless mimosas were a great touch and our waitress always made sure our glass was never empty. After having their mole last night, I was hooked so for breakfast I had the chilaquiles de mole with a side of pork belly and oh my goodness I will recommend that to anyone. My fiancé had the chicken and waffles and that was just as good! They way they prepare their chicken is so flavorful, crunchy and delicious I was shocked how much I enjoyed everything. Nowhere on their website does it explain that brunch buffet is the only option on Sunday and that it's ($32.00 per person). The wait-staff acted as if the customers were a nuisance. We had a wonderful time today at this Estancia at the Grand Conquista. The food was excellent. I had the chilaquiles De mole to die for!. The red sangria was my favorite. We got there at 1:00 pm and left at 9:00 pm. They have live jazz playing, and we were so surprised to hear one of the waiter's sing. My sister dance to the music and my husband song along. Came here for the first time, we found this spot on Yelp! Let me just start by saying it's super chill and cool little chill spot!! They got a live band on weekends, pretty large dinning area and a banquet hall for large parties. As for the service I give it 4.5/5 they just need a little more practice but everything was phenomenal! Food was great, very flavorful and pretty presentation! The rice minus well be rice a roni, the beans weren't cooked thoroughly so they were hard, the shrimp tacos: not quite sure if they were even shrimp, the taste was the equivalence of frozen battered shrimp, no flavor at all!!! Cold food--this was my last experience, 3rd time coming and officially have to cut this place out forever. Not worthy, wouldn't waste your money, I would have been more satisfied eating Taco Bell than here! So trust me when I say PASS this Place Up! Seriously. I literally grabbed fast food after leaving! This place used to be really good but has been getting worse. From the taste of the food to the service and all around. I wanted to take my family and friends for an amazing authentic Mexican Brunch but this was probably one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. I wish I was exaggerating but it took over 45 mins for us to get our drinks, and the server forgot to put in orders for some of our drinks. And when the food came out the flavor was just not there. We ordered the chiliquilas, crispy potatoes, and French toast with Cafe Borracho drink. We were the only customers in there. Thought it was a bit strange that nobody else was there. The whole time we were there no other customers showed up. 3 staff on board, one waitress, one dude at the bar juicing limes and another random chick fixing her eyelashes in the mirror. Few things I disliked. Service wasn't the greatest. Considering we were the only ones there I would expect better service. -Asked for over medium huevos and the yolks were completely cooked and not runny. Not a big deal. still ate them but I like runny eggs with my chiliquilas. I didn't bother to send them back. -Asked for creamer, for the cafe borracho but waitress said they didn't have any cream but had powdered creamer. That wouldn't work because the cafe wasn't hot and it would curdle up if I used the powdered stuff. She then brought out the French toast and a side of creamer to go on top of that , so I guess they do have cream, just not for coffee. -Had to ask for chips and salsa. Mid way through our meal. Apparently they are complimentary but she never brought them out in the beginning, we had to ask. We shouldn't have to ask. French toast by itself was $18. Nothing fancy. No sides just the toast. You basically have to order everything else on the side. For $18 I would expect eggs and bacon at least. Was the food good? Ya the food is decent, no complaints on the quality of the food. This place was a total DISAPPOINTMENT! I made reservations 2 weeks ago for Mother's Day...party of 11. We arrived at 1030, (the time of our reservation) and were offered drinks by our server. By 11am we were ordering our brunch (no kids menu by the way...we had 4 children and they did not offer anything for kids). Shortly after the server took our order, she returned to the table to advise that the kitchen was no longer taking any orders!!!!! But she put ours in anyway. How could this be???? I was insanely disappointed. After seeing 4 stars and the look of the pictures I had high hopes. First off the restaurant has a B rating in cleanliness. Regardless I tried to keep an open mind. The food was very disappointing and much too pricey for the kind of quality they are serving. Queso is basically some mozzarella cheese out that was put in an oven. Thick condensed cheese served with tortillas. Definitely Not a dip and no chips in sight. Steak tacos were not cooked well. Lots of fat on the meat and was like rubber it was so hard to eat. Lastly drinks were okay but overall for two people we paid 100 dollars total for two drinks, an app, and two entrees and we barely ate any of it, it was that gross. This restaurant is hard to find but I've had my eye on it for awhile. We finally got the chance to check it out a few weeks ago. It started out promising, wirh the elaborate staircase, leading hi into the restaurant. I felt super royal and couldn't wait to see what this place as in store for the night. Well, The cocktails are delicious, served in the best cocktail ware (is that what it's called?). The food choices are limited and we just had appetizer (we had dinner plans at Vintner's Tavern). Here's where stars were lost...live music but so loud. And not loud like that "old lady thinking what's this noise" kind of loud... Loud like the speakers are going to blow... This spot is serving up Mexican cuisine with live music on Friday's & Saturday's around 7pm. We visited on a Saturday around 5:30, the restaurant was not full with maybe 4 tables occupied out of 15. We did have a large party of 16 and made reservations, we were seated in a separate area that holds larger parties which was great. Unfortunately they had a waitress that was helping out, I ordered a spicy cucumber margarita which never arrived. I asked the lead waitress for assistance after waiting for 20min. I received my first cocktail 35min after I made the initial order, she did apologize and comp'd the drink. a 1-page menu at a Mexican restaurant is unheard of, there are normally tons of choices, this menu was small especially for a weekend menu. With a large group orders can be specific and confusing (which is why we came early) the kitchen got my friends order wrong 3 times-she finally gave up and had chips and salsa for dinner :( I ordered the 3 enchilada combo- it looked delicious but the plate was cold, This was the case for several of the guests. I didn't bother to ask them to reheat it since the waitress appeared to be stressed. Needless to say I had a burger on the way home. The drinks were delish and so was the guacamole. The salsa was too hot for my taste. We literally went thru 3 pitchers of water! Overall the lead waitress was extremely kind and apologetic for all the mishaps. Just Wish they were better organized to accommodate a larger crowd with more attention to detail. Although this seems to be a new restaurant hopefully they get better overtime but they lost 16 guests that will likely not be returning. Funny thing is we visited this same place a week earlier with 5 people and spent $500 on the tomahawk steak ($155) & seafood platter ($175) w/drinks of course and the food was really good. Wanted to try out this new spot so we went there for lunch. Good thing I wasn't at work on my lunch break or I would have been fired for taking a 2 1/2 hour lunch! She returned 10 minutes later to take our order. A short time later she returned with chips and salsa. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food to arrive. My wife ordered the shrimp tacos and I ordered the chicken mole. My plate was supposed to come with rice and beans and tortillas which I did not get. I was so irritated for the long wait I didn't even mention it to the waitress. The chicken was good but on the dry side and salty. My wife's shrimp tacos looked really good but on the bland side. She had to smother them with salsa. We needed our waters filled and wanted more salsa, but there were no waitresses to be found. Not once during our dining did anyone ever come to check on us to see if we needed anything. When we were done and ready for check and a to go box, we waited another 15 minutes hoping someone would come. My wife finally got up to look for our waitress. To her surprise, the waitress was sitting at the bar in another room. The waitress finally brought us a to go box and the check. When I looked at the check, I see the charge for the chicken mole was $22, when the menu showed $18. I pointed that out to the waitress who told me she would go check. She returned with the check which now showed Chili Relleno, which we did not order. Since the price was the same as the chicken mole, I didn't say anything, paid the bill, left a tip and left. When I looked at the time it was 2 1/2 hours that we spent there. This place needs better customer service in order to survive. And again, that was with only two tables with guests. The food was yummy and the bottomless mimosas were probably the best I've ever had. They were really good. The only thing is they could have worked on getting more staff. This was horrible, had to give it 1 star to input info. 1st problem- they had 2 people singing at 6:30 but the room is like being in a cathedral & girl singing at top of lungs. Not what you want for dinner hour. It look like we were sitting in a club honestly. Well i saw this on instagram and made a reservation ! What's funny is i read a review where they asked if she had a review so i wanted to make sure i made one ! I drove to down to chino hills and i couldn't find the location so i called i was early to my reservation btw and she said they were closed. So your closed but i have reservations and your website says you are open ! read more

Pros: Good live music and good waiter staff. Cons: One of the worst managed restaurants I have ever been, dined at 11:50 am and they already ran out of tortilla chips and did not know when it will be available.Ordered Michelada the syrup was so diluted and have to request them to fix it. The waiter staff tried her level best to fix things, but with improper management she can do only few things that she could. Will not recommend this place for anyone. read more

Trying to find some good things to say about this place. Not sure if it's a restaurant or banquet. If your a restaurant very plain inside. The atmosphere of a banquet just a big room with a chandelier and a bar. An empty bar cause there main bar right when you walk in. Let's move on... I went in a Sunday for my anniversary for brunch. You get this salsa for one person (it's like a child's up) small. Drinks not bad but they need to be bigger there to tiny for what they cost. (Like 2 maybe 3 drinks) Service was slow only (1 bartender) I understand what situation we are in right now.
