For short layovers this place has always been kind to me and crew. The drinks and food are reasonably priced and the staff has always treated us with such respect and kindness! The rooms are quaint. Only thing is that the pool is a little small. Food is fabulous. Drinks can't beat them! read more

It's a really pretty hotel, well maintained and the staff is great. My only complaint is they put me in the room farthest from the elevator. My fault, as I thought they saw my limp and I should have just asked for a closer room. It's a giant open square with elevators in a central location, so there are no short cuts. The decor is very San Antonio, in a good way. Shuttle is very reliable. I'd recommend! read more

I WISH I HAD CHECKED THE YELP REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING!! We traveled 5 hours with a 1 and 3 year old, do not stay here if you have kids especially small ones! The hotel told me numerous times that they did have a crib and were sending it up to our room. If they would have told us at 6pm when were finally given a room even though checkin was at 4pm that they had none left, I would have been able to make arrangements to provide that for my child to sleep in that night. Again, it was the lack of communication of their part to help me organize my trip accordingly.  They initially gave us a one bed room and when I realized we weren't getting the crib I went downstairs at 11:20pm and waiting til almost midnight for the manager who could not be paged. The room that they switched us to with the two beds but no courtyard as reserved, was terrible and it felt like this was done intentionally as retaliation from the hotel. The manager said it was only for Friday night since it was already midnight when we had to switch rooms. Again, all the while traveling with my 2 babies having to wake them up and shuffle them around. Room 230 was not better than the first but because it was a holiday weekend, all the other hotels were booked and we had no other option than to remain at La Estancia Hilton.  In room 230, the shower had rusted metal with sharp edge on some areas. One of the beds was broken on the inner corner and fell to the side. The A/C released some dust that aggravated our allergies. As bad as this was, it was not the worst.  This room is not up to code and should be reported immediately to avoid a death. My 1 year old child tripped near the window. The chain link used to raised the curtains was not properly secured to the wall and  the metal chain was caught around my baby's neck. Thank God I was nearby and able to immediately assist him, avoiding strangulation and suffocation. No parent should ever have to experience this with their child. This was negligence on the properties part and could have completely been avoided. Please see the attached photos for reference and documentation.  My family and I are traumatized by this incident experience. When I reported this to the front desk, there was a lack of concern and desire to take immediate action. Needless to say that I was not allowed to speak to the manager and they denied my booking service our request for a refund. Shocking......STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK. read more

Very unique fusion of Latin and Chinese cuisine! After retooling from the prior restaurant, it was with the wait. The ambience is warm and inviting. We really loved the beet carpaccio appetizer! I and the Duck & Flower entree which was really good (a little small, so make sure that you get an appetizer and/or salad). My wife got the Chicken and Waffle which she like enough to not offer me any. They are located in the St Anthony, and valet parking is validated. They have a small bar area as well as a super nice private dinning room for what appears to accommodate (20) people easily. read more

What a beautiful hotel! A large groups of us visited for one night with 4 kiddos. There was a little misunderstanding what a upgrade with a balcony consisted of, but other than that all was great. There are not individual private balcony's. All the balcony's are basically in a hallway that face the courtyard. We made the best of it though and brought some chairs from the room to sit outside. The lobby bar, The Paseo, has friendly and quick service. I was very surprised that for hotel the menu prices for drinks and food was quite reasonable. Most hotels upcharge so much. I had the Pulled Pork Nachos and Huevos Ranchos. Both very good and the nachos are huge! Also a bottle of bubbles is only $20. We were giving some plastic cups and took our mimosas to the pool. The courtyard was so relaxing and gorgeous. Also great location that isnt too far from downtown and North Star Mall is literally across the street. read more

My check in time was at 4pm, I arrive at 6pm My room is still not ready. They say they'll give me a call when my room is ready, never got a call. 9pm I ask about my room, apparently it was ready for a while. (Ruined my first day in San Antonio, had to sit by my bags all day) Day two I get breakfast out of the hotel at the bar. All areas at the bar are dirty. I sit. They take 20 minutes address me, I cleared my own area at the bar. I finally order (basic breakfast bacon eggs potatoes) takes another 40 minutes. Bartender address me again saying sorry let me check on your food (I know for a fact they just made my food after the 40 minutes) finally get my food it's okay for a hotel. Ask for my check ( full price) they don't try and right there wrongs by comping me anything. I leave zero acknowledgement Awful experience here read more

I had to stay overnight in San Antonio due to some personal errands that bled into work events, so I figured I should at least "pamper" myself with a stay at a nice hotel, especially one where I now have loyalty status! My newest hobby is checking out the Canopy and Tapestry collection of hotels by Hilton, since they tend to be within the boutique genre of hotels, carrying their own themes based on the location they are in. Estancia del Norte definitely had Mexican-inspired influences throughout the lobby, all the way into the rooms. The hotel itself is situated amongst various hotels close to the airport. It reminded me of Embassy Suites actually, as I took the elevator up to my room and walked through some of the hallways. My room was clean and fresh upon arrival, and my two complimentary water bottles were on the hefty side (not the typical Arrowhead type bottles!). The bathroom countertop was long and the bathroom overall was comfortably clean. The bed sheets and pillowcases might feel on the "rougher" side to some, but I actually found them to be comfy. I wonder if that was part of the rustic aesthetic? My favorite part of my stay was breakfast! I was able to redeem my food and beverage credit for a plate of eggs benedict with house potatoes. It definitely would have been too pricey without the credit. The plate, plus drip coffee and tip, minus my credit, ended up being $13. For my one-night stay, it was definitely one of my better stays in San Antonio. Will also try to opt for this hotel for future work and personal trips in the area! read more

Check-in time is 4pm. I arrived at 4:47 pm and was told by front desk staff that the room was still not ready. I inquired as to whether there was another comparable room or upgrade available. The young lady communicated with housekeeping by radio and then informed me that no such room was available. She then informed me that the room would be ready in roughly 45 minutes and they would text me once ready. I received a text at 5:56 pm notifying me that the room was ready. I've accumulated too many points with Hilton Honors and spent $316 to be inconvenienced. What if I needed to shower and change before attending the event that I was in town for? Estancia, you've got to be better than that. read more

Shortly after checking in, I noticed that the commode had not been cleaned properly. I alerted the front desk, and I was assured that someone would come up to address the issue. However, hours passed and no one arrived. Later, I responded to a message from Kenya at the front desk, informing her that the issue remained unresolved. I also noted several other concerns in the room: the Kleenex box had a decorative flower design on top, but there were no tissues inside; there were no coffee cups provided; and the shower rug was missing. Overall, the room lacked the attention to detail I would expect. It appeared that the room had not been thoroughly or thoughtfully prepared for a guest's arrival. The pictures on the website definitely did the property justice. This is an older facility and it's probably time for some upgrades. read more

Very attractive hotel from drive up appeal. Inside the bare minimum of decoration, furniture, and fixtures. Room was clean and nice but had requested a courtyard room and instead got a corner suite overlooking Northstar mall and noisy loop 410. The traffic is so loud at night it is hard to sleep. As far as the Paseo Bar, no ambiance to speak of. You eat in a brightly lit lobby on diner like tables. Ok for breakfast I guess but not dinner. Apparently they can't dim the lights. Had dinner at the bar. Reasonably priced drinks. Friendly service but the kitchen was ultra slow. Was given a free drink to apologize for it. The blackened fish tacos were exceptional!!! Highly recommend the tacos. Based on dinner was back for breakfast to give it a second try; since staying at the hotel. Very slow service again. Fried eggs were cold. Hash browns were tasty. Bacon crispy but ultra thin. Never came back to refill coffee. Wow read more

Checked in the night before a wedding. Had difficulty getting the door open. Once I was able to get in, I noticed that this was not the room I booked on the website. It was a downgraded room. When I went back downstairs and let the front counter staff know, she informed me that the other room was out of service. This room was specifically booked for a bride to stay overnight and have her hair and makeup done there. I should've either been informed prior to checking in or at time of check in that the room I requested was not available. All I was offered was a free breakfast or appetizer which does not cover the cost difference of the room. I ended up canceling that night and having to book another room at a different hotel due to their willingness to help. read more

This place is hit or miss, and that heavily depends on the housekeeping. The decoration is beautiful from the lobby to the rooms. I love that they also treat airline crew very well. But sometimes rooms are dirty (like they definitely did not vacummed well). And they knocked and tried to come into my room when I clearly had "Do not disturb" sign. My coworker was bothered by them three times and even had a phone call to be asked what time he was checking out. I hope the house keepers will get their stuff together soon. read more

Stayed at this hotel for a work trip. Very pleasantly surprised for how close it was to the airport. The courtyard is huge and there is a pool. There is a bar in the lobby and has great food. I was surprised to get two free bottles of water checking in and two in the room. I walked into the room to a surprise of a cute towel elephant. She became our team mascot while we were in town. Only negatives was I was missing lotion and only had five tissues in my room. Some of my coworkers were missing soap all together. It was quickly rectified but still a small negative. The rooms were well air conditioned but the hallways were not. I could hear a lot of noise from the hallway. Overall good hotel, just a few things. They have a gym and lots of conference rooms. I am such a fan of the Estancia del Norte and the rustic yet modernized vibe the rooms and grounds have. It reminds me of subtle nods tied to the La Quinta in Indio (look up the hotel it's beautiful and top notch) and it feels like you're taking a step out from San Antonio even though you're on 410. Parking is complimentary and I've never had an issue finding a spot. There is always security driving around on carts making sure there isn't any funny business happening. They even have a complimentary shuttle for the airport which is nice. The lobby itself is spacious and open leading to the star of the show -- the enclosed courtyard. Think beautiful pool, luscious grass and fresh landscaping welcoming you with open arms. Staff here is super friendly and they are always doing their job with a smile. I really enjoy the rooms and always feel like I'm on a nice getaway. I'm consistently staying here when I am not in the mood to stay downtown. read more

I made reservations back in august 26 for a two night stay for September 26,2025. When checking in at estancia I told clerk had reservations and she asked first a credit card anyway. Well got home and had another charge on my card for the same stay that I already had paid for. Been on the phone with the hotel for over an hour and they said it's not their fault, for me to call the company I made the reservations with. I told them they charged me and to reimburse me for their mistake but around and around. Obviously got no where and they played the blame game for me to call the other company that I made reservations with. Told them it's their mistake to fix it. I don't like giving only 1 star, but 2 stars didn't adequately fit our 2 different stays. Both times, the floors felt gross. Dirty the first stay. Sticky this second stay. There are no luggage racks. The conditioner container was empty when we arrived for our second stay. There are hardly any surfaces to put our stuff in. There were 4 of us both times, and the rooms just feel crammed. Not roomy like the other Hiltons. I will say that I love the pool, food, and bar. But that's pretty much it. read more

It is a beautiful hotel w nice rooms but I was not too crazy about the layout of them. The large window is on one side so there is little natural light coming in and since the balcony is open to all other rooms, when I opened my balcony door, people were just walking by my room. The bed was very comfortable but there is only one small nuck that is the open closet without any light in it. The is a very strong light right in the shower so if you need to wake up early, that shower will feel like a 21 questions at a police station. This is a must MISS. The hotel was lovely overall, but the cleanliness, details, and service were significantly lacking. Lobby was clean and well appointed. Room was sort of clean and the carpet was ripped up and dirty. I expect a much higher level of service and quality at this price point. There was supposedly a pool--but I would not know as it was closed off for some sort of benefit that the hotel was hosting, for days. When I go to a hotel, I expect the amenities to be OPEN. Many parents with children came for the same seminar I did. Many screaming children and ruckus were caused as a result of this. We had MANY options, and for the hotel to simply close down the largest amenity for whatever this benefit was is simply UNACCEPTABLE. No refunds, no lowering of the cost of the room for our inconvenience, no prior notification. NO NOTHING. The bar was nice--when it was open. The bar also closed up for the benefit. Nobody seemed to care. Management could not have cared less about those staying there--only about this benefit--which did not benefit the guests at all. They also charged me for things that were provided BEFORE I ever checked in. Told numerous times that they would be taken off the bill. This never happened. I had to fight it through the credit card company. This place needs to close down, get fixed up, regroup on their priorities, and give it another shot. This could be a wonderful place. read more

I absolutely couldn't be more happy with my choice to stay here. I was very indecisive between this location and locations directly on the Riverwalk specifically the Omni. Let's just say I was extremely surprised from the entrance. Everything has a very upscale field. The bar staff is amazing. They have a spectacular happy hour drinks and apps, starting at five dollars and they're in large portions. The room was extremely clean. the courtyard was simply beautiful. There were a few events hosted during my stay there, however, it wasn't an issue to us. For the most part, the staff was extremely nice. We absolutely adore the shuttle driver, Mr. Amir, and he made sure we made it on time for our flight. read more

This hotel is in a great location. Good amount of food options nearby which are walkable. The service is good as well. I just didn't like how there weren't microwaves in the rooms. I also didn't like that the temperature of the room couldn't go lower than 70. That made for a pretty uncomfortable sleep. read more

She was SO Patient when I got buzzed by pool etc and needed a new room key a few times :-/ FOOD/DRINKS: *RAMSEY* Has set the bar SO high! He is a SPECTACULAR Bartender and BEYOND accommodating, PATIENT and swift! He made a bespoke drink for me; I called it THE RAMSEY. (see pictures its the orange one. SO refreshing on a hot and humid day) My friends and I drank and ate by the pool, in the lounge, etc and every single experience was professional and awesome. Great menu...every drink you can imagine. ESTANCIA Is lucky to have him honestly as I cant say the same about bartenders at various other San Antonio hotels Ive stayed at. ROOM: Clean and spacious rooms! My room had a typical hallway entrance AND a back entrance/exit that faced the beautiful pool area! (see photos please) Bed was comfortable, ample seating, clean bathrooms and decent apothecary. POOL Is wonderful. It is clean, steps away from the bar/lounge and again, well maintained. The entire pool and outdoor lounge area is protected by an cool 'tent' style netting above the building that helps keep away mosquitos and texas nats, etc. I dont know the name of this but I will tell you I had ZERO encounters with above thanks to this considering I was almost eaten alive the night before at my friends backyard near by. Im so happy I didnt throw away my money and made the decision to stay here. You get a lot of bang for your buck and its truly a vacation experience. read more

I'm giving this place 4 stars because overall the property and the staff were all amazing. I took off one star and maybe it should have been two because my 1st room was not clean, there was dirt and someone else's snacks and a used bandaid still on the floor. (Pics attached) The second night we came back in from a day at Six Flags to a horrible smell in our room, it was super strong and smelled like paint thinner or something, it was so strong I could still smell it on my clothes when we got home and unpacked. We went to down the front desk and were told we could be moved to a different room so we did that. The new room (pics attached) had a hair on the toilet and a hair (not pictured) on the soap dish. I get that things happen but the cleaning was lacking in both rooms, now would I stay here again? Yes! It's a great place but housekeeping might need to be revamped a bit. read more

Attended a training workshop here. Many of my coworkers stayed here. I got a much better deal at the Embassy Suites Hilton San Antonio Airport. The hotel offers no free breakfast or happy hour. The training did provide coffee, tea, and cold water all day and iced tea in the afternoons which was nice. The pool was small. The courtyard area was nice. read more

Location is close to the airport and offers free parking. No desk in the room so not ideal for business customers. Housekeeping is loud. Voices in the hallway starting before 8 am. Though 12 pm scheduled checkout, housekeeping knocked twice on the door before 8:30. Why? This hotel charges $80 for a late check out but yet won't honor a regular checkout by not disturbing the guests. Front desk service is atrocious. Asked for a different room but was told they were sold out but yet, room prices actually went down on the Hilton site and one could book rooms. Don't understand the lie but maybe that's how the staff here are trained. Plenty of other hotels within a couple of blocks. Recommend trying one of those. Gold/Diamond Honors members are afforded two bottles of water. read more

Guy at the front desk at 2pm 8/21/23 forgot to mention I was there and had me waiting for the wedding coordinator for more than 15mins...looking for a place with better guest services now. I would hate my wedding guests to be left unattended like I was. Mari also forgot to respond back to me on the Knot for a while but in person was a pleasure meeting! Every time I'm in San Antonio I stay at the Estancia. This is a beautiful hotel in my opinion. The staff is friendly and the rooms are always clean. The hotel restaurant is surprisingly really good! The bar staff are very welcoming. For this stay I did note a sewer smell in the bathroom, which wasn't pleasant. It was nothing too extreme and I noticed water near the toilet that probably equated to the smell. This would be my only critique. read more

I lived in SA years ago & I wanted to find a convenient place away from the downtown noise. This hotel was so convenient to a number of places. It's about 5-10 minutes from the airport, a quick 10-15 minutes to downtown/The Pearl, and about 10-15 to La Canterra. During our stay we ventured out to King William district on a Saturday evening and made it back to our hotel in about 14 minutes! Our room was HUGE but it faced 410, which was a little noisy at night. The bathroom was a little on the smaller side for having recently gone through a major renovation, and a pet peeve of mind are those dumb sliding/barn doors but on well. The courtyard was amazing and relatively quiet when we stayed on a recent Saturday. Grab a drink at the bar, and head outside! Speaking of which, the bar was cranking out some tasty looking cocktails, but $14 for a craft beer?! That was a bit outrageous. All in all, this was a great stay for the price! read more

I found this place online. It was the best deal for hotels around I could find that looked nice. The place was great. It has a rustic charm to it. All the staff were beyond friendly. Our room was nice. The parking was great. All around felt safe. It is located at easy access to the highway. There is a mall across the highway which was fun to visit. The restaurant inside the hotel was yummy! It felt nice to wake up, get ready and have breakfast downstairs. The lobby area is pretty. I would love to come back during warmer weather and try the courtyard and pool. read more

Had a beautiful stay Friday night this weekend and really looking forward to going back We had been frequent guests here when it was the Doubletree and was anxious to check out the $40m renovation BEAUTIFUL!!! No expense spared! The new lobby area / bar / restaurant is gorgeous, open and flowing. Happy hour was great with the best White Russian I've ever had. Room on the second floor was very comfy, but they are a bit dark. Had to call maintenance to come and unstick the terrace door so we could enjoy the beautiful new view The new courtyard is stunning. Pool was Completely relocated with more seating The only issue we had was related to the AC in our room. I very time it would cycle on it made a crash sound. About every 15 minutes. Annoying in the night, no kidding but was addressed with the manager in the morning no problem. Love the new property, will def be coming back soon read more
