Even though every thrift store is a gamble, I'd give this store a chance. An organization building houses is definitely worth the cash, and worth keeping our stuff out of landfills. Go here before the big boxes! The furniture is laid out by rooms, plus a few dish, art, and lighting sections, so it's pretty easy to find your furniture genre. A pallet of tiles and some paints was also available. I didn't have the experience of donating, yet, but the browsing was a decent experience. Alas, the novelty kids bed was gone before I could inquire. The store has a facebook page if you want a head start in your browsing. The staff (or volunteers?) on site were kind. This location's usefulness and pricing really depends on what you're looking for. Furniture tends to be overpriced for quality/style. Laminate furniture appears to match prices you could get for new at Target, and it's dinged up here. But building supplies, drawer handles, sinks and other fixtures, and some appliances, as well as windows, doors, etc, are often priced well and can be the best match for someone looking for specific styles to match an older house, for example. I did find a very nice solid oak sofa table to refinish here last time, though, for only $50, so if you're here anyway for the affordable stuff, you might find a stray diamond in the rough. read more

I attempted to "GIVE / DONATE" a 5 THOUSAND DOLLAR love seat and sofa. They acted like they were doing me a favor by taking them !! I sold the couches on FB and donated the money. have banker hours and I jus don't understand how they operate as such In response to all my reviews being negative. Well stocked store in each section. Has the most of sofas, sectionals, and arm chairs. Items are in good condition and a variety of styles mostly traditional, comfy, 90s, but made out of solid wood not laminate. Staff nice and good service. Parking lot available and accessible. read more

Habitat for Humanity The first ReStore opened in 1992 and now there are more than five hundred of them in three different countries. The goal continues to get money to build low priced housing and also to keep as many building materials out of landfills and dumps as possible. The different ReStores vary a lot in size, inventory and cleanliness. This is one of the larger and cleaner stores and you can walk around and check things out without feeling like you got cooties when you leave. A whole lot of different things are in the store, from large furniture items. appliances, electronics, paints and who knows what else. Of course the inventory is always changing so you never know what you'll run into. The prices range from inexpensive to almost nothing and the people that work here are great. An interesting store and concept that does help makes the world a better place. And if you're lucky, you just might find a real bargain. read more

Love this place. I ALMOST hate to share it, but Habitat for Humanity is a wonderful non-profit. This particular spot is smaller than the Bloomfield spot but has been more reliable for antique and vintage household restoration projects. I own a 1947 Cape Cod Style home and have been LOVING the mid century finds all over the state. This particular spot gets a lot of amazing lighting fixtures and has a large selection of hardware! Of course, they are donation based so if you're looking for something specific in mint condition you are setting yourself up for disappointment but they seem to ALWAYS have a large selection of sofas, end tables, dining sets and hutches. I visit regularly and take note of inventory changes. I am a very dedicated restoration hobbyist. I love the mission of shopping here: purchases can be sustainable, keeping items out of the landfills. My money goes towards financing new home owners. All you folks looking for a summer DIY project: here's your place to get started. Restore is amazing! From vintage and modern furniture pieces to light fixtures, headboards, hardware - even stoves - it's the perfect spot to get affordable pieces that might need a little touching up. Yesterday, I walked out with four bright blue shutters (project for a funky new headboard), a gorgeous vintage chair, and a ton of multicolored tiles (I'm working on a mosaic bench) for $35. The staff are helpful and the space is pretty organized - not as jumbled as you'd imagine for a thrift-type store like this. If you're particularly DIY-savvy, this place is a dream - even if you're not the project type, it's still awesome! Win win. read more

How did I not know about this place until now?? I've been rifling through Goodwill and Savers, but ReStore is a whole different animal. The furniture is extremely high-quality and in practically new condition. I bought two amazing lamps (which must have cost over 100 each new) for ten dollars apiece. Tons of building materials too-- I even bought screws and bolts for a DIY project. I will be coming here as my first stop every time I need anything for my house. read more

Great concept, great cause, the volunteers are awesome, but this particular store is managed by people who should not be involved in customer service. I wont get into details but be sure not to lose your receipt..I will leave it at that. I have donated hundreds of dollars worth of stuff to this place. Never again. read more
