    Good selection of wine.

We ordered guacamole and tortilla chips for starters while we viewed the menu. The menu contained a nice variety of dishes that could suit each person's palette preferences. Next we ordered the shrimp ceviche and pollo Chuco. The shrimp in the ceviche was fresh and the plenty. It was definitely an appetizer that can be shared among 2-3 people. The ingredients tasted fresh and it had a nice kick to it. The pollo chuco was one of the suggestions the waiter mentioned. It was full of favor and the chicken had a nice bite on the outside and yet it was soft and tender on the inside. It was made to perfection! We had a couple drinks like Jarrito's pineapple and mandarin flavor as well as a Stella. The waiter was friendly and very accommodating. There is comfortable seating inside and outside. You can view the Delaware River from the outside. We will definitely be back again and try some of their other menu items!

Afternoon lunch on the deck with a nice view of the bridge. Tacos and quesadilla were delicious. Was impressed with the homemade tortillas. Will be back.

I can tell you that not one of their creations has been less than amazing! Everything is plant based, organic, fresh, and delicious. They make a number of signature sandwiches - all served on savory waffles (OMG the waffles!), made with careful attention to the combination of flavors and textures. This food is ART, people! The "What's Up Doc?" sandwich is their take on the classic cream cheese and lox bagel sandwich. Served on an everything waffle (like an everything bagel, except a waffle!) with their handmade cashew cream cheese (to die for!) and smoked carrot lox - carrots that are superbly flavored, marinated in special seasonings that actually capture the flavor profile of lox! Genius! Then there's the "3500 Club" - an eggless egg salad (made from tofu) on a scrumptious buckwheat caraway waffle. It's hands down the best vegan egg salad I've ever tasted. It's topped with their homemade pickled red onions, tomato and spring greens. Basically the perfect picnic sandwich! The third sandwich option is "Peas and Love" - a chickpea based picnic salad made in the style of classic tuna salad. This is served on a lemon dill cornbread waffle. The blend of flavors is heavenly. It hits all the right notes you'd expect from the classic it's inspired by, with a novel twist thanks to the herby, savory cornbread waffle. A healthy and delicious way to get your protein! Now let's talk about their handcrafted spreadable cheeses! I can't even describe how amazing these sunflower and cashew based cheeses are. I buy a container or two and eat them all week long for lunches and easy dinners. Paired with their artisanal crackers (which are amaaazing!) it's the perfect protein-filled snack. They make a number of flavors, like roasted red pepper and lemon rosemary. All gluten free by the way. I like to spread them on all kinds of sandwiches, make toasted cheese sammies with them...brilliant!! To accompany all this deliciousness they serve rosemary infused hand squeezed lemonade! It's basically summer in a cup. Best lemonade I've ever had. Warning - it is addictive!! Wow, I can't believe how much I wrote here. It's just so exciting to find a 100% vegan, plant based, organic food vendor at a farmer's market - and then for it to be this flippin' good - it's a veg foodie's dream come true!! AND the owners are the sweetest, coolest people - much love!! I also should mention that all their packaging is environmentally responsible or reusable. If you're in the Narrowsburg, NY area and fancy a fabulous picnic curated by two cool-as-hell NYC transplants with vegan magical powers - stop by Sprouted Root Kitchen!!!! Formerly located in Brooklyn, Damien brought the concept to Narrowsburg a couple of years ago. I've eaten here several times. Located in the basement level of 90 Main St in Narrowsburg, it arguably has some of the best views of the Big Eddy and Delaware River of any spot in Narrowsburg. When the weather is nice, an outdoor deck offers commanding views. Inside, the decor is a bit industrial with a nod to the Alsacian mountains. The space is all hard surfaces, primarily concrete, making it a very bright room from a sound standpoint. For this meal we sat that the bar by choice. Service was reasonably prompt and friendly. No specials were mentioned, and no substitutions or menu changes. I ordered the Pork schnitzel, my dining companion one of the spaetzle dishes. We started with tuna tartare. The tuna came out in a nice presentation which included an extra heavy "schmear" of avocado on top. The dish overall was so incredibly oversalted that it bordered on being unpleasant. The house made tortilla chips which were light and delicate, but again, so over salted they were bordering on inedible. The schnitzel came out and had been pounded out absolutely paper thin, and the breading was very dark brown. The side salad was mixed field greens instead of the stated arugula on the menu (no mention of a substitution). The Schnitzel was overcooked and, frankly, as dry as cardboard. Seemed like they are using a smaller pork portion and pounding it super thin to make it fit the plate to their spec. It also wasn't seasoned. At all. My dining companion's spaetzle was over cooked and mushy - almost disintegrating in the mouth. It's unfortunate because that dish looked incredibly promising on the menu. We added the asparagus appetizer (an odd appetizer offering, and not offered as a side dish), and it was good, cooked well, but again no seasoning. I added the leek mashed potatoes as my side. Again the theme of little to no seasoning raised it's head. The potatoes were cooked well, and the leek came through quite delicately, so it's unfortunate the kitchen didn't follow through. Overall - a lovely setting with fantastic views, and a great place for a glass of wine or a cocktail watching the sun set over the Delaware River. As a dinner destination, our latest experience is unfortunately consistent with past visits - a menu that promises great, somewhat simple dishes that fall flat on execution.

What a cute little town and La Cigogne has all the things that make for a great dining experience. Serena was our server and was super helpful and attentive. The menu was loaded with so many great items...I will need to go back for more. We were a party of 3 and the whole restaurant was vibing as the World Cup was on the big screen TVs in the background. There are several big screen TVs around the restaurant and it was cool we could keep on top of the score. The mussels and the scrumptious broth it came with was very good and just a bit spicy. I had the chicken fricassee as my entree and my friends also had the duck special, which they loved. We also had a very nice fruit sorbet that looked and tasted very impressive. There's also a great view outside on the veranda of a beautiful lake. Glad we stayed inside that night. Not only was it super hot outside but it poured during dinner and we stayed nice and dry. Maybe next time. I'd high recommend La Cigogne if you're looking for a great dining experience in Narrowsburg.

Unfortunately, this trip, and we've been to TC multiple times over the past three weeks, and virtually everything we've ordered had some error or omission from what was ordered and on the ticket. For example, the other day I ordered the BLT on Ciabatta - their menu specifies turkey and avocado as options to add for $2 each. I specifically asked for both to be added. Got the sandwich, and it was on the correct bread, but without the avocado or turkey. I ultimately didn't say anything as they were busy, and frankly the counter staff always seems a tad annoyed at customers. Today, two bagels - one was ordered as an everything with their herb cream cheese. The other is the Lox sandwich. It's our day to pack up and head home, so it was taken to go. Got home and the bagel & cream cheese was wrong - plain bagel on plain cream cheese - not everything and not herb. These aren't end of the world problems for certain, but these are some basic missteps that just shouldn't happen. If they were done because of an item shortage, no worries, just communicate that (nothing was mentioned). Unfortunately, Tusten Cup should be performing at a higher level than this.

We ordered the French onion soup and it was excellent. I knew the soup would be great as Kevin is a chef and takes pride in every aspect of his creations. My wife had the hanger steak salad which is served on top of large plate of leafy green with fresh vegetables and some wedge fries, it was solid! This was one of the daily specials and did not disappoint. I had another one of the specials an oyster po-boy. The bread was delicious and they must make it in house. The greens were fresh and the tomatoes sweet however there were only two small oysters on each half of the sandwich? Very small and really unnoticeable give the size of the sandwich. I was really disappointed because I love oysters and was surprised that they didn't add more to the sandwich. It was served with a nice spicy mayonnaise and homemade fries. Maybe they were running out of oysters, which they should have just taken it off the menu. Either way I'd rather have a traditional Po-boy loaded with oysters and less of the greens and tomatoes. The taste was on point but disappointing for the lack of oysters. I will definitely go back but I won't order this item again. See photo! The staff was very attentive and the atmosphere was cozy.
