They called to cancel my appointment with one day's notice, leaving me a cheery voicemail, apologizing for any inconvenience . Management never returned my phone calls when I called repeatedly asking to speak with somebody. And they continue to send me emails, reminding me to book an appointment for service they no longer offer. I have heard from former employees that management treats them poorly, messes with their schedule and has no respect for keeping customers aligned with the person who you have established a relationship with. To me this demonstrates a disregard both of their employees and their customers. I understand that businesses can choose to make decisions based on a variety of factors. I am not writing this review based on their decision. I am writing this review based on their handling of their decision, which, in my opinion could not have more poorly. Before all of this, I was happy with the establishment for years. i'm sure there are good people that work there who provide great service. However, I cannot overlook the way I was treated and the ongoing insult. Emailing me encouraging me to book an appointment.

The ease of booking online was great and I liked that there were time slots available for my needs. My appointment was with Michele and she made me feel so comfortable from checkin. She has many years of experience and gave me great breathing techniques to get through those moments (ladies you know what I'm talking about!!) she was really easy to talk through and even asked about my prior experience. This is the first time in a long time where my Brazilian was tolerable and I attribute that to the soft wax but also my waxer. I am excited to get back on track and see how my body does with the soft wax.

She didn't have an e-certificate option available, but due to her unbelievable flexibility, creativity, and customer service, she managed to drop off a paper certificate in the mail that my mom found in her mailbox on her birthday. Fast forward 2 months. My mom wanted to use her certificate because she found out rather unexpectedly that she'd have to move out of the Tri-state area. I asked Elaine for her availability and she said that she typically books out three weeks in advance. However, she put my mom on the cancellation list and after a few cancellations, my mom was fortunate enough to make it into Elaine's Skin Studio three days before her move. Throughout all of these interactions, Elaine never showed an ounce of frustration or annoyance. She is truly a gracious individual who goes above and beyond for her clients, even her new clients! I called my mom after her facial, and she told me that Elaine was very friendly and knowledgeable. She remarked that the studio was pristine, cozy, and intimate, and that she immediately felt relaxed upon walking into the studio. She described the entire experience as peaceful and calming, and I'm so grateful for that since my mom had been in a frenzy trying to pack an entire house together in relatively short notice. Elaine also gave her some great suggestions to enhance her current skin care routine. Though I'm bummed that neither my mom nor I live close enough to drive to Elaine's Skin Studio regularly, I really do hope to go there one day to meet Elaine and pamper myself with one of her amazing facials!

Needless to say, he couldn't find our appointments. He managed to squeeze us in, apparently by giving us some other woman's timeslot bc she showed up pitching a fit during our sprays. We asked where to go for the service. And instead of going behind reception to the salon rooms, we were sent back out the door to the salon, up a few flights of stairs inside an old apartment building. When we got to the piles of black garbage bags stacked in the hallway, the door to the spray room was to the right. There's a tiny, shabby waiting room, if you can call it that, and a janky storage room/janitor closet. Plus, the woman getting sprayed had left her stuff all over the one chair, open handbag and everything. The tan itself didn't really look like much, except on my face, which was really dark. But everywhere else you couldn't really notice it. So, nope. Would not recommend. PS: If this review convinces you to go here, be prepared to get totally nay-nay except for disposable paper undies.

Not only was she super personable, but she also really cared about making sure my eyebrows were moving in the direction I was trying to go. She took the time to talk through different shapes with me -- it turns out I like the straight shape look -- and showed me how I could get there with a growth encouragement product at home. Rosana showed such incredible expertise too, drawing out the symmetrical lines I should strive for to achieve the look I wanted. I absolutely appreciated the time she took to make my appointment successful. They have good covid measures in place too right now, with a temperature check at the door, a big jug of hand sanitizer on the front desk, and masks required all around. I'd be happy to go back to see Rosana again.

I called and they immediately squeezed me in for an appointment with Renata the same day. She truly knows what she is doing and measures your brows, draws them out, discusses shaping with you and takes her time perfecting them. Now the reason why they lost 3 stars. I went there for a Brazilian wax. During the session, even though I paid for a Brazilian, she kept trying to get me to do a bikini wax instead (maybe less work for her?) and I had to refuse multiple times. After the appointment, and when I was about to leave, she said she would charge me an extra $15 because my hair was coarse and she did the back (which is what a Brazilian is). For me it is the principle of things and the way she went about it. She never mentioned it or said anything during the wax and waited till I was about to leave. I was very upset with that.
