This review is long over due as my family and I have been clients at this facility approximately 7 years. From Ortho needs to general dentistry they have done it all for us. Their customer service is outstanding. Ana is great and is always my go to person. My children visit without me being present and I am comfortable knowing she will be there to assist with any questions, concerns or needs. The facility is modern, well kept and very clean. Dr. Avanesian has a great personality toward his clients. Scheduling and last minute appointments are accommodated upon availability. Though I am an adult, I am in fact an idiot. I stayed away from the dentist for over 10 years. As a result my mouth and teeth are in pretty bad shape. Along my path to dental health I've had to have root canals before. Coming to doctor Kim however, changed everything. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing he and his staff are. I started coming here in June with a dental emergency. A fractured tooth. My insurance company found them for me. Dr.Avanesian saved the tooth from a dental implant, did a route canal put a crown on it. Totally painless procedure!. The crown looks beautiful and totally natural. I would recommend him to anyone. This dentist office was on my insurance's recommended list. I have now been coming to this dentist for five years and have been lucky to not have to wait very long to be seen. I would recommend coming earlier in the day as they do they busy in the afternoon and might get a little backed up. One time I was starting to develop a cavity, but after a deep cleaning and specific instructions from the dentist, I didn't have to worry about it again. I also appreciated that they didn't push for me to get my wisdom teeth out. It was until two of them finally started hurting that I decided to have the surgery. I only got local anesthesia and the process didn't last more than 20 minutes. They are great at reminding you about your appointments and making sure they present you with all the options available. read more

I know I.T sounds crazy but esthetic dentistry actually makes me look forward to going to the dentist. Everyone is so patient and kind and helpful. Especially the dentist, he remembers everything and is so genuine always asks me about my kids (not sure how he remembers things about every client) Besides that, their office is always so clean, very up to date and the dentist is just so professional and knowledgeable. I love this dentist. I went in because he takes my insurance and I had a gold crown fall out. He discovered that my tooth had cracked and said there was a three part process. First remove the tooth , then implant then crown. None of it was covered by insurance. It was reasonable and he is so nice. The novocaine was so effective that I didn't know when my tooth was removed and I had no idea that he was finished placing the implant. His office is clean, healthy and the secretary is very efficient. I love this guy read more

This has been the WORST experience ever. Came for a root canal for my small daughter. already had a ref from my dentist who is a top professor at USC. Dr Kim needs to have his license investigated. A complete sadistic mean man. Tried to force antibiotic on my 9 year old child with her having ZERO INFECTION lol. Then tried to push COMPLETE ANESTHESIA on me for her despite me telling him I'm opposed to both esp since she had no infection. She couldn't have been more quiet & well behaved. her infection was treated a week prior, yet he Insisted that this is "how he operates". Lol. what happened to "medical freedom" & a person's right to their body esp w a minor!!! Im literally shocked & speechless!!! super unethical !! Staff is rude and the whole vibe of office is super aggressive & disgusting. Waited a week for this apt my child had an emergency referral, could have already had this done by someone else , sigh . I visited them 7 months ago and had root canal, and crown. Recently I called them because I had a severe pain in the same tooth. They said they don't have appointments for urgent needs. So I found another dentist to go to. I found out that the procedure they did on my tooth, they didn't completely remove the nerves. So I had infection and also needed to do a root canal again and change the crown. This whole thing cost me pain, money and time. Save yourself and don't go to their office! read more

I have been their patient for the past 22+ years. I can say one thing that I will never change my dentist. Dr. Hamlet Avanesian is the best. Besides that he is a nice person, very friendly, he is a very knowledgeable dentist. Rest of my family have been their patients for the past 15+ years. I have 2 daughters and they both got braces in 2019. I'm very happy with the specialist that the office has for that procedure. She is very knowledgeable and very nice. She takes her time to talk to the parents and explain what she has done and the next steps. Now about the office.. it is very important that especially the dentist office to be clean. This office is extremely clean, tidy and everything is sterilized. Especially during this Covid times, I feel very safe going there. Now I have to mention front desk and the rest of the help. Ok guys when it comes to dentist, im a chicken. I hated and scared to go to dentist since i was a little kid. Im 38 still am but my first experience was with Dr Avanesian on Friday. So I unfortunately consider myself an expert with getting dental work because I've had lots of it done. I hate going, as I'm sure many do. But I have to admit that I actually had (do I dare say) a positive experience today. And that's that I had 2 root canals done at the same time. I was greeted by Ana, the friendly receptionist/office manager that assured me that Dr. Joseph Kim is an expert in his field. He is super accommodating, skilled, caring , humerus and you can tell his passion for dentistry because he really enjoys what he does.
