We ate on the outer ring of the Dining Room, though not right by the window. When I made reservations a week ago, I was told shorts were discouraged -today- at least four men wearing casual shorts. I would have been one of them if not for the discouragement the week before. The food was very good, but the portions were very small! The whole fish,Dorado, fit neatly in a small oval plate and the lamb- for an added charge- were called lamb chops, but were more like lamb lollipops. I would call the " weekday lunch menu"more of a "tasting menu" which was $49 without the added surcharge, and not $45 as listed online in the restaurants menu. When I got to the restaurant, it seemed that this was the place. The service was warm and welcoming. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and the view was wonderful. The food did not match the service. The lentil soup was average, nothing special. The "fresh" fish was less than fresh. The tuna burger that my friend ordered did not look appealing. On the way out I looked at the fresh fish display. My friend took me here for lunch to kickstart my birthday. It was such a pleasant experience. We were seated by the window which was absolutely perfect to enjoy the view on a lovely summer afternoon. The menu had plenty of options, but we opt into going with the prefix lunch menu. We both started with the octopus which was delightful. Once there's octopus on the menu I'm going to have it. Half of us had a view of the Vessel. There is a free coat check, which I recommend utilizing given the amount of seats and how right it kind of us inside. We're always skeptical of chain restaurants, but estiatorio Milo Hudson Yards is a notable exception, delivering an outstanding dining experience. This upscale restaurant offers a high-end menu. You pay for the ultra-fresh ingredients, vibrant ambiance, magnificent panoramic view of the Vessel with a sunset backdrop, and superior service. Our server, ILIR#636SER, was amazing. He was super attentive and professional, escorting us to the open-air ice bar seafood station. He explained every item in detail and provided great suggestions from their extensive wine list. Every staff member, from the entrance to the manager, was extremely friendly and respectful, even to our long-distance friends, who had just landed from an ultra-long-haul flight, dressed in relaxed clothing with a cap. Went for a family lunch at Estiatorio Milos and had a lovely time! Service was super nice and informative on the menu as we selected the courses. The bread was also a special treat as it's a common starter but their bread was super warm and toasty, and I think the star of the show was the fresh oregano they literally cut in front of us into the olive oil. Was impressed because it actually elevates the flavor, and the oregano itself was fresh, earthy, and aromatic (it's the little things in life). I got the grilled octopus for my appetizer, which was so savory and tender - 10/10 would get again. For my main I tried the fish of the day which was the dorado, and it was definitely one of the softest cooked fish I've had in terms of texture, not too fishy at all and in fact maybe on the blander side. For dessert, I got the karydopita, which is soaked in syrup so can be a little too sweet depending on your preference but I liked the walnuts with the spices in the cake. Overall seemed to have a clean and simple style when it came to their dishes. I've been to Milos now 4 times over the last 18 months. The location is great for my client. We have hosted many business meals there and everyone always requests we to back. The service is excellent, cocktails are great and food is extremely fresh. Generally speaking, it's lighter and fresh dishes. You know those days when you're staring at your computer screen, drowning in spreadsheets, and praying for a divine intervention in the form of food? When I came here, I was having one of those days. Luckily, it also happened to be the day we were saying farewell to a beloved teammate--so I got to eat everything I wanted at this notoriously expensive restaurant without once thinking about my wallet. Ah, Corporate America. To start, boss ordered both the Greek Spreads and the Milos Special for the table. There was so much sauce-ing and pita-ing and thin, fried eggplant-ing that we were all ~75% full by the time we were done. Kudos on the Milos Special plating especially--I can't imagine how many times their servers have to carry those Jenga stacks of fried veggie chips. We all got some variation of the lunch prix fixe. In my case, I started with the Classic Salmon Tartare, which was quite lovely and generously portioned. Then came the Astakomakaronada--because if work is paying, why would anyone care about a $20 add-on? Besides, this was one of the best lobster pastas I've had (including an entire trip devoted to seafood pasta in Italy). Creamy tomato sauce? Check. Perfectly cooked lobster? Double check. Bite-sized chunks of happiness? Oh, you betcha! Last but not least, dessert. The Karydopita cake waltzed onto the scene like a sweet temptress, but alas, it was a tad too sweet for my liking. No biggie, I enjoyed the ice-cream it came with. The lunch crowd is a sea of perfectly groomed, polished, and well-dressed power execs. After a full day of sightseeing during the busiest time of the year, December; a friend and I decided to check out Estiatorio Milo's. We opted on sitting at the bar area on the second floor and what a grand dining area it is. There's a pretty sizable seafood bar section to choose from. The drinks were hard to choose from so I decided on the delicious"tears of smoke" . It was refreshing yet smoky which is an interesting combination. The small plates/appetizer were also divinely delicious. It was my first time eating ceviche and it was amazing. Loved the textures and flavor combinations. The second shared plate was Milo's Special that consist of thinly sliced & fried zucchini and eggplant with a tzatziki sauce in the middle. Truly delicious. I planned a day in New York City for my wife: -9am haircut at Arrojo -Brunch at a restaurant with great food and views -Theater tickets to see Cirque du solei, Twas the night before Christmas I did my research and made reservations months in advance for Estiatorio Milos. Once inside, the restaurant is simply magnificent. My wife looks glowing as we're shown to our seats. We have a commanding view of the Vessel as well as the Hudson River. Since this is Brunch, we are going to share our dishes. I ordered cocktails, both of them were amazing. My Negroni was made with RÉMY MARTIN vsop, O.M.G...... so smooth. This cocktail was the best cocktail I had in 2023. A must when dining at Estiatorio Milos. To start, I ordered the eggplant stack called the Milos Special, a stack of fried zucchini and eggplant chips piled over a mound of tzatziki as well as some fried saganaki cheese around the platter. Magnifique! After my cocktail, I asked the waiter for a recommendation on a Greek Wine. I said the Merlot served here is the perfect wine for the main course. Our main course was the Lobster and Pasta. Now I've been to Rao's in Las Vegas. The waiter sat down at our table and I asked him point blank, what's with the boxed pasta? He admitted the pasta was in fact from a box. This is not the case at Estiatorio Milos. The lobster was deshelled and very fresh. It was tossed in freshly made pasta and cooked to perfection. If you like and open kitchen and market, they have one. You can see the seafood that they will be serving on display. The portions are very big so you should share with your party. One thing I did not like was that some dishes can only be ordered if two people are ordering (such as the lobster pasta). This will be shorter than my usual review, as it's easy to cover and I'm sure it has many 5-Star reviews. We had no reservations and did this impromptu. On a Saturday night (11/16/24) at a little after 5PM we were easily accommodated. It's a large place, but doesn't feel like it given the service is great. From the start the location is stunning. Hudson Yards has great views and Milo's has tables that face the Hudson River and The Vessel. We had one of those tables by the windows that face it. Great start. Attentive service. Even when busy this was true and the waiting on food was reasonable, or better. We started with a dozen oysters. Two kinds of six each. These went quickly because they were great, including the presentation. My wife ordered the pre theatre prix-fix. At $65, for three courses, this was very reasonable considering this is a high-end and high priced restaurant. Her octopus entry was served with humus. We shared it, as it was not skimpy, and it was delightful. The octopus was cooked to perfection. Her main was salmon, which she loved, but thought the beans in the side were not up to par. Still it was a success. I splurged and ordered a rare treat - stone crab claws. I ordered three. Magnificent! Large, really large, about 1/2 lb each. Amazing. Not cheap though at $168/lb. These totaled over $270 alone, but I did not mind. Worth the splurge. I added Greek Fries as a side. Think French Fries with Greek spices. These were fantastic and still enjoyable even as they cooled down, which is rare. We shared my wife's dessert. It was a walnut cake a la mode. Good, but the least favorite of the night. Milo's is spectacular. Great location, great service, great food, especially an incredible selection of the freshest seafood. Just be prepared to pay. With two 6-ounce portions of the Napa Cabernet plus tax and tip this was a $600 meal. We loved it anyway. read more

We went on a Tuesday night and were surprised to see it pretty packed at 6:30pm- we saw a lot of business-y folks, so imagine that a lot of folks go here for business/work dinners. Our captain (Nick) was super friendly, knowledgeable and upfront- he let us know that the dish we wanted (salt baked fish) was going to take 45 minutes. Even after we ordered, he provided us updates ("it'll be out in 20 min!" "10 more minutes, be back soon!") which I thought was really helpful. The sommelier also took care of us and gave us some nice recommendations. The food- just spectacular. We ordered: The Milos Special- Definitely have your phone ready for this one, it's fried zucchini and eggplant slices that are methodically stacked around a tzatziki center to look like the Vessel! Also comes with some fried cheese, then one is a must! Tuna Tartare- Very simple, served with a savory cracker and fruits Octopus- Charcoal broiled, served with Greek fava, I could've licked the plate clean- the octopus was so tender and soft, and went perfectly with the fava For the main: The loup de mer baked in sea salt- the server will bring you the fish before they scrape the salt off and serve you the fillets- I was in awe of how meaty and juicy the fish was! While baked in sea salt, it wasn't over salty (to be honest, it may be almost a little under seasoned for some?) The fish is topped with capers and a lemony- sauce, and served with chard. My wife has fallen head of heals in love with Greek Seafood, so I booked us a table at Estiatorio Milos (Hudson Yards) to celebrate her birthday. This is the 4th Greek restaurant we've dined at over the past 2 years and might be the best thus far. You enter via a spiral staircase from the 5th floor of Hudson Yards mall (tip - take the elevator as the escalator from 4th to 5th is not functional). The space is spectacular. Very modern, very classy, with high ceilings and amazing views of The Vessel, skyscrapers and the Hudson River. The menu is pretty basic and focused on fresh fish from the sea. They don't list prices for most fish, which at first was a concern, but the prices are reasonable (for Manhattan). Our server (who was fabulous) took us to their "fish market" to select a fish. She recommended we share a Sea Bass which was definitely the right call. The Sea Bass was prepared to perfection and was presented to us as a single dish, then the server split the fish between two plates. Very classy. As we had hoped the fish was mild and so delicious. Forgot to mention the Greek spreads. Our server had them create a nice trio for us which was ideal. My wife loved the fish roe (?) and I loved the fava bean spread. Seems simple, but they gave us a healthy amount of pita bread which most restaurants don't. Bread that came out earlier was also amazing. Didn't order dessert, thinking they might bring out a birthday surprise (since they knew that's what we we're celebrating), but nothing came. Only disappointment of the night. Great evening with a group of business colleagues Went there after a meeting at the office and spent a wonderful few hours being pampered and served terrific food while having a beautiful view. The ambience in this place is reminiscing of the original Milos, but with a little bit more room and a great view. Great service - servers and staff are all very knowledgeable and great to work with. The meal consisted of several appetizers, including fava and salads and dips and calamari. All well prepared original recipes with great olive oil, and accompanying bread. The entrée was the fish shared amongst all of us. It was cooked perfectly, and the flesh was flaky with a great accompaniment of a little olive oil and lemon to bring out the taste. I highly recommend this place. PS one item which , I realized after dinner is that the wine that we had was labeled in the menu as Xinomavro. However, the bottle was labeled Red wine which means it was a blend. I should have raised it at the point but did not see till I saw the pics. If the owner or somebody is reading this - it would be great if that naming was changed on the menu because the wine did not have enough Xinomavro to be labeled as such. read more

No parking! We drove into city and there was no available parking at 1pm Et. We drove around and all the surrounding lots were full. So in future, plan for it as we had to cancel the birthday celebration. Not likely to go back. We checked with a building security guard who said one lot there was 65 dollars per hour. --not per day.
