Salmon Carpaccio

Had a reservation for restaurant week and they have a pretty wide range of options to choose from compared to some other restaurant week options elsewhere. The service is immaculate, the servers and staff are very helpful with choosing menu options. The food itself is very average, still good but nothing really stands out. The prices for restaurants in this area are pretty high as well, so something to keep in mind. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Otherwise, the interior is really nice inside and is a great place for friends or for dates.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's

Room wasn't quite ready at The Bryant Park Hotel (we got here a bit early). Asked front desk folks for a place to get a light lunch and one recommendation was Koi.......you don't have to say sushi twice to me!! Was seated promptly, great ambiance and seating but very noisy. There was a fairly large group that was especially loud and we weren't even near them. Service was excellent, attentive and knowledgeable about an eclectic menu. I went with the Omakase lunch special and was not disappointed. Really good sushi with a twist on the finish of each piece of nigiri. A bit pricey for the portion size, but definitely grade A sushi.......after all it is NYC prices!

Located off of 40th inside of BP Hotel , across from Bryant Park. Upscale sushi with exotic and delicious cocktails, wines and sake. Celebrated a friends birthday here as our 1st night in NY & food was incredible.

Came here for a work dinner with a group of folks from out of town and we tried a variety of things on the menu. Overall, my favorites were the salmon sashimi, and the veggie tempura, but all of the dishes were very fresh and well . The service was a little bit lackluster, we had to clarify an allergy multiple times and the waiter wasn't fantastic on checking on us regularly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor of the restaurant felt a tiny bit outdated, with candle holders, devoid of candles, and dust settling on fake plants.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would come back just for the salmon sashimi though, which was some of the best I've had in the city!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was fantastic and the place had an amazing vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was also well worth the wait. Prices are on the super high side though, but what do you expect for NYC. We had the roasted Chilean Seabass, northern lights roll, potstickers, Hamachi fusion and Dragon roll.

Sort of shocked to see the aggregated rating of this place be somewhat low. I thought it was an incredible sushi spot. The staff were friendly, they offered a great selection of drinks, cocktails and non alcoholic options. The food was delicious. All around fantastic. We went with a fixed menu option that included a starter, main, dessert that satisfied exactly what I was looking for. I'd go back again.

Exceeded my expectations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Excellent service. Food is top notch. Had the dragon roll and sweet chili shrimp roll. Dessert was also delicious. Extremely pricey but worth it if you want to treat yourself. Perfect restaurant for celebrations.

Koi was good as expected. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A beautiful restaurant in midtown, great place to take clients to for a work lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great service and tasty dishes. Love the sushi rolls, we all shared. But not impressed by my main dish, was pretty bland.

I was here recently for an event. It's a large space and we had a portion of the back row sectioned off. Prior we had a small presentation in a conference space upstairs with a bar before heading downstairs to the restaurant. Staff is attentive and we had an assortment of apps and sushi placed on tables and either passed or replished. What I had Koi Crispy Rice topped with Spicy Tuna (just ok) Tuna Roll Salmon roll crab roll Kobe Style Potstickers Salmon and beef skewers Lychee Martini

Amazing experience. Absolutely love this place. We go here every time we are in New York and is a staple for us. They have incredible food and great service. Check out some photos of the food below. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The lighting is great and love the decor too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend going to Koi. Order the tartar but as a hand roll! Also the aka roll is awesome.

Very overpriced, the sushi was not very good or fresh. The service wasn't great, just overall felt like it was a rip off.

I love how the flavors mix so well together, I felt like I was in heaven! the service was amazing, like the never left my water cup empty!!! (props to them) the ambiance inside was also super calm and vibey. overall, I had such an amazing time and I would love to go again soon

The slices aren't thin, delicate, and melt-in-your-mouth as one usually gets in a sit down; they are extra thick, and I had to really bite down on some of the pieces. The rice was nicely seasoned and was cooked well + portions are also big to match those thiccccc salmon slices. To be honest, I was getting a little nauseated after 5 pieces, haha~ They were definitely delicious but I'd probably just eat 3 or 4 pieces and share with a friend! It was easy to text the number on the website and coordinate a pickup time, and the staff was friendly when I arrived. The restaurant is a little hard to find as the windows are blinded and the sign is a piece of paper on the door.

The cucumber salad was also very good and flavorful. karaage was just okay and can be skipped. The corn dessert was really cool and the ube tiramisu really had the yam flavor. This is a bit…read moreof a belated review, but I'm glad to see that the standout dishes from my winter visit are still featured on their summer menu. 3 of us shared a few orders of their tenderloin ($18) and pork loin ($20) katsu, eggplant agebitashi ($18), sabazushi ($22), truffle rice, and niku udon ($24). The katsu was very, very moist on the inside, with a crispy batter that was so light it was almost flavorless. I honestly couldn't really tell the difference between the tenderloin and pork loin. Overall the dish had a very light flavor and I added quite a bit of sauce and wasabi. Some of the less memorable dishes were the eggplant agebitashi and truffle rice. The eggplant agebitashi tasted like a cross between an eggplant parm and a bolognese. The truffle rice had a very strong truffle flavor that ended up overpowering everything else in the dish. I thought the slices of raw button mushrooms were a little strange. I really enjoyed the sabazushi. The pieces of mackerel were thick and carried a lot of that characteristic mackerel oily flavor, but the oiliness was cut by enough vinegar to balance everything out. The niku udon was also a surprise hit. The noodles were wide, flat, super slurpy, and the broth carried a deep umami flavor. Overall, I had a pretty solid experience here.
