I travelled from CT to come here. I use to love this place. I paid $20 for a burrito with 90% of peppers. Completely unacceptable. This isnt even all the peppers on HALF the burrito...there was way more but I ate them. As you can see I only ate half the burrito and overall it was salty, didn't have beans, one tiny piece of meat and nothing else but HUGE pieces of peppers. It's ridiculous. Unfortunately, this place used to be great but got so greedy and began to upcharge credit card transactions to customers. This practice shouldn't be done by restaurant owners! This is a little gem in Soundview/Parkchester area. It has restaurant charm in a mostly take out area. By the train, can be loud but this was a quiet little spot without a lot of foot traffic of delivery people up and down. I usually do takeout from them, but recently went in for lunch. The food and drinks were good quality. Portions were good for the price. The service was fast and pleasant. Our waitress didn't speak English well but we were able to communicate fine. We placed an order for 3 steak tacos, 2 steak tostadas and a pork burrito. The burrito was the biggest burrito I've ever seen in my life and not only was it huge but it also tasted delicious. The tostadas were also great but they skimped on the toppings. But the flavor made up for it. Everything we tried tasted fresh and tasty. Prices are great and delivery was super quick. I'm so glad I found this restaurant because the few spots I've tried around my way just weren't it for me. I finally found my go to spot for mexican cuisine. read more

After getting kicked out of Sobrasura for forgetting my covid card as per the communist city of New York, I found it in the car and then went across the street to this gem. Not so much curb appeal, nor any frills on the inside, but looks are deceiving. The food is where this place shines. Party of 3, 3 dishes. First was 3 chicken tinga tacos, with everything. The plating was great and the radishes were on the side, which was great to have on side with no bitter crunch surprises on the inside. The tinga chicken was seasoned great. Not too spicy, and surely not bland. Great tacos. Second was carnita Asada burrito. Big healthy burrito. No sides. But you don't need it as everything is neatly wrapped on the inside. The carnita is seasoned excellently and the burrito was wrapped with care. Almost artistic. Chipotle has zero competition on this.... sorry fan boys/girls. Third was a 3 piece shrimp in mango sauce tacos. Shrimps cooked to perfection with no rubber texture. Mango sauce was amazing, although I understand they are looking for added texture with the mango chunks, but perhaps smaller cubes would have made it easier to handle. Nevertheless an amazing taco. All in all. Great place to come and eat. Service was great and as long as you can look past the location, and come here for the food, you will be satisfied. read more

There churros are amazing. And there food is good overall, the big issue I have is that they don't give enough steak portions with there meals. Also the quality of the steak is not that good, they give these stringy pieces of meat. Due to the pandemic (and my lack of cooking skills), I've had to order out a lot this year and this has been one of my go-to places. The salads are ok but I LOVE the spicy shrimp soup. We ordered takeout from them and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, the taste of the food and how they got everything right. The delivery wasn't as fast as they said it would be on Grubhub, (they were about 15mins late) but still the food was fresh and delicious. I had the shrimp quesadilla on corn tortilla with rice and beans and it was great. My friends had a chicken quesadilla on flour tortilla, chicken nachos, steak tacos and steak burrito and everyone was happy with their order. Will order from them again. read more
