During our last stay, we spent a lot of time at ETA for cocktails, snacks and even dessert. Cocktails and wine were excellent and the perfect after exploring the city each night. Snack wise we got wings, fries and even veggies. All cooked well, came out hot and tasty! Lastly, we got dessert, an apple streusel pie, which was an extra sweet way to follow up a good gin and tonic! Service at the bar was excellent each evening we visited. As noted before, we really enjoyed ETA!

Surprisingly good food for a hotel restaurant, especially the breakfast which is a la carte instead of a buffet spread. Ordered a few items and would definitely take it over standard fare any day

My friend and I came to catch up and celebrate her birthday. We just relaxed in the beautiful lobby together. Victor took great care of us! He gave helpful recommendations from the food portion of the menu as well as cocktails. We had the buffalo cauliflower, queso fundido, and steak frites. Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection! My friend said it best: the steak was the best she's ever had (and I agree!)!! Chef's kiss! Victor helped us to decide which cocktails to get... the birthday girl enjoyed the Very Berry cocktail and I had the Walk Along the Riverwalk, which was a peach dream. My friend took home the chocolate caramel bombe to enjoy later and said it was phenomenal as well. Looking forward to going back soon!!

I think it's unfair to hold the bar super high for hotel food, even in a great hotel like Loews. So ETA definitely raised the bar for my expectations moving forward-this place delivered delicious breakfasts on both days, courteous service, and a relaxed atmospheric in a strange kind of yellow twilight tone they have set up in there. Doesn't jar you awake with brightness, but doesn't leave you in the dark either. One day I had the smoked salmon bagel sandwich, served with a generous portion of smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers, and red onion. The other day I had the protein shakshouka-fried eggs atop a chickpea and tomato sauce with arugula on the bottom. Both were excellent portions, properly seasoned, and delicious. Coffee and juices were good too, and we also had a bowl of fresh berries. Excellent quality and delicious. All around, this made our stay at Loews much more pleasant, being able to go downstairs and have a great breakfast on site. Highly recommended.

This was our breakfast spot. Cozy midsize Resturant and bar located in the Loews hotel. No wait time during the week or Saturday. Avocado toast without kale or egg. I was glad I was able to order it to my liking. One morning it was served with everything but the bagel seasoning. Steak top with chimichurri, potatoes and eggs with side toast. Coffee cup was never empty. Edwin was very attentive on our first day. Young lady with peace on her name tag was also attentive.

We had the absolute best drinks and amazing service from our Bartender Ro at ETA inside Loews's hotel. He was friendly, knowledgeable and seriously pours an amazing cocktail. He respected my allergies and made me a special "peach martini" and everyone loved it! It was exquisite. The vibe on the ETA side is upscale and intimate, there is also a bar on the opposite side in the lobby that is more casual. If you're local or visiting, go see Ro and you won't be disappointed!

Tres leches - Did not enjoy this dessert

Went to ETA for valentines dinner here's my review: Parking - Site says $8 for up to 6 hours at AMC River East....that's just not true. They don't validate and neither does the hotel unless your a guest. Ended up paying $40 for 2 hours.....smh Atmosphere here was very chill. It wasn't too busy, the staff was extremely attentive and everyone was pleasant. Not a huge menu but has a decent amount of choices and pricing is average. 48 hr short rib - Very tender and flavorful highly recommend Everything chicken - Very tender, good value for the amount of food you get (half a chicken) French fries - Description made them sound incredible but they were pretty disappointing. Lacked flavor and not salted enough. Sauce is similar to animal sauce from in and out Tres Leches - Took one bite and had it taken back. Cake was soaked in liquor, didn't taste anything like tres leches. Passion fruit sauce was really overwhelming. Just all around a unpleasant surprise of flavors. Would not recommend this dessert In my opinion presentation of dishes is a little odd, everything is off center and on one side of the plate. Definitely think it would look more appealing and would be easier to eat if it was centered.

Avocado Toast with Salmon - not as much flavor as I'd hoped.
    Jennifer H.

Got the avocado toast for breakfast. The avocado was nice and ripe but i think the whole thing could've used a little more flavor. Good amount of smoked salmon and the side salad had a pretty nice (and light) dressing. Not bad if you're staying in the hotel but might not be worth it for breakfast if you're staying elsewhere.

Excellent service, food, and drinks. Not as pricy compared to the other restaurants located inside of the hotels.

The place is delicious and great quality food. It is inside the Loews hotel and has great service. Although my breakfast was pretty simplistic, the eggs were delicious and the bacon was crisp. If you're staying at Loews, I do recommend eating here at least once or going to happy hour and enjoying a nice drink.

We were so happy with everything! Our server was wonderful! The entire staff was so friendly and on top of their game! We never waited for anything. They were immediately refilling our waters, offering more bread, removing dirty plates, replacing silverware, and offering the next course. It was perfect! The views!!! I think there's not a table in NoMi that doesn't have an amazing view. The main, large window faces the lake (East). Arriving just at 7, you get the full affect of the city, and lake, and then the sunset and lights of the buildings. It was absolutely magical. I couldn't get enough of it. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and clean, but honestly it could have been a pit and I wouldn't have noticed. You'll be focused on the views for the entire evening. The food!!! Everything is very fresh. It's all well-prepared. Everything was delicious. There's a good variety of dishes to choose from. Plenty of healthy, low-carb options. We each ordered our own appetizers. I had the crispy Maitake mushrooms and my husband had the mussels. We both loved our food and left nothing on our plates. Excellent choices, that we highly recommend. As our main course we shared the sushi platter. The seafood was fresh and the sushi didn't have too much rice. It was the perfect amount of food with our appetizers. They have an extensive wine and drink menu. For drinks I had a glass of the Sauvignon blanc and my husband had a red blend. For dessert we weren't really hungry enough to eat anything else but my husband wanted a pallet cleanser. They have a few sorbets. My husband settled on the cherry cola sorbet. They brought it out with a little chocolate that said "Happy Anniversary" in French. They did not add it to our bill. Very sweet of them. It was probably one of the best anniversaries we've ever had. The bill was about $230 before tip. We highly recommend coming here for any special occasion.

There needs to be more organized seating all around the 360 because the place is packed. There are some tables closest to the Bar but not around the entire deck. You have to hold your drink the whole time and get bumped into. There is no obvious line at the bar and you accidentally go in front of other people who thought they were in line and they get upset. Overcooked with a little sauce and two pickles slapped on the bun with a tiny little dab of fake cheese - it was like a bad and way more expensive version of McDonald's. The onion rings were the frozen crumbly kind not the fresh beer battered kind and so that's a big "no!" for me. The dipping sauce was okay. That is to say: I am not throwing words of praise like "one of a kind" and "phenomenal" around lightly. Both are different and still amazing. Sparrow has a vibe straight out of the 1920s. The decor, signage, use of color, and absence of screens or TV's all contribute to the theme. The music is also appropriate and plays at the perfect volume to be pleasant without forcing one to raise their voice. I tried the Green Daisy and a House Old Fashioned. The Green Daisy was boozy and had some herbaceous notes. A little tartness and a little sweetness helped balance the drink out and make for a phenomenal sipper. I loved the creativity with this one! The House Old Fashioned was also well done, assembled with quality ingredients in balance with one another. Nothing wrong with a well-executed classic. The prices are more or less reasonable considering the location and overall market, with bevies costing around $16. The bar staff is excellent! Very friendly and welcoming! Final verdict: A spot where I can say come for the drinks and stay for the vibe. It's the kind of place where walking in you are transported a century into the past. It is a must visit - if only all hotel restaurants were this good. We had a late dinner reservation on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was almost emptied out. So that made for a lovely, semi-private dining experience. Selecting a wine was dicey, as earlier that week flooding had damaged the cellar (!), but our server, Alex, was very helpful and worked with us to find something to my liking. We landed on a 2015 Cornas which was showing beautifully and matched perfectly with our meal. Alex did a fantastic job taking care of us during the wine reconnaissance and throughout the meal. Speaking of which, we started with the deviled eggs, which were amazing. An elegant balance of cream and salt from the caviar. For my entree, i had the venison. It was a seared filet on I believe a sweet potato puree, and it was rich and tender. Order it rare, if its on the menu. Kelly had the filet, also rare, and found it to be superior to most Chicago steak house filets. Our side was the divinely creamy Aligot mashed potatoes. Don't skip on these! For dessert, there was a decadent, gout-tempting chocolate mousse preparation. Served tableside, its all you think you can eat. I had a heaping serving, ate some, took the rest home. Kelly had the (also) Decadent Chocolate Cake, which too was superb. Cocktails were excellent, as is the bourbon selection. Service was impeccable. Our dinner was long and leisurely, and we look forward to returning.

Kari's Rating 7.5/10…read more Came in with a friend around 11:30, it was absolutely desolate except for this client conference call that wrapped up around us. When you first walk in, you have to take the elevator up to the third floor, where a hostess was waiting at a golden black themed restaurant. This place is extremely ornate and luxurious as you walk in and greeted by a full air bar where all the liquor is positioned up in a translucent brass cabinet. Walking a little bit further into the restaurant, you see all of the chairs decorated with a gold studded Maroon leather. The tall ceilings give way to a illuminated faux skylight. The seating designs are minimal designed. We thought we were walking into a brunch menu but they had transitioned to lunch and re-ordered the lobster roll as well as the asparagus tip and almond pasta and the sweet potato fries.

This was a really interesting European-inspired fusion restaurant with a little bit of everything…read moreon the menu--from pierogi and pasta to pizza, burgers, and sandwiches. The restaurant itself has a great vibe, with stylish décor and a comfortable atmosphere. The chicken sandwich was crispy, fresh, and very good, although I thought the coleslaw was a little too heavily marinated. The salad was also very fresh and tasty, but there were a bit too many condiments and toppings for my preference. The duck was especially tender and fresh, and overall, everything we tried was quite good. We also ordered a mocktail even though we were warned beforehand that it was very sweet. We wanted to try it anyway--and yes, they were absolutely right! It was definitely too sweet for us. What impressed me most, though, was the owner. He personally came out to speak with us and genuinely listened to our feedback about each dish and our thoughts on the overall food experience. It was refreshing to see an owner who actually wanted to hear what his customers had to say and was so open to suggestions. That personal interaction made the experience especially memorable. Overall, good food, a nice atmosphere, and an owner who clearly cares about his restaurant and his customers.

I found Ila's on Google and liked the variety of menu items. The food appeared to elevate comfort food from multiple cuisines, such as American, Italian, South American, Asian, and Southeast Asian. I reached out to the restaurant and was assisted with a reservation for 14 people. Our table was set and ready to go as soon as we arrived at 8:30pm on a Saturday. Overall customer was excellent. Thank you to the hostess for making my sister, the bride, feel special. She complimented her and hyped her up for the night, which was really sweet. Our server was awesome too. He was friendly and highly attentive. Loved that our food and drinks also came out in a timely manner. I enjoyed everything I ate. I had a few bites of the appetizers including the scallops, fried paneer, and 2 kinds of empanadas (corn and chicken). We also got lumpia and a mixed bread platter for the table. Though I didn't have any of the latter, they were a hit at our table. I got the burger as my entree, and it was such a redemption from a crappy burger I got elsewhere earlier in my trip. The double smashed patties were juicy and flavorful. I devoured the burger and loved the thin cut fries. All-in-all, we had a lovely dinner at Ila's for my sister's bachelorette party.
