You can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in the business, and I really appreciated that. I received a 90-minute massage. The massage itself was okay, but it wasn't anything memorable. I've probably had 60-70 massages over the years, and this one was pretty average compared to others I've had. Unfortunately, what stood out most was that my massage therapist repeatedly passed gas throughout the session. I understand that everyone is human and things happen, but it occurred multiple times during the 90 minutes, and she never acknowledged it or even said "excuse me." It made the experience uncomfortable and took away from what should have been an enjoyable massage. I truly appreciated how clean and inviting the spa was, but because of this experience, I'm not sure I'll be returning.

The room looked more makeshift as we got into the room before the massage. The cost for the couple's 90 minute massage was $160. Overall, the massage was great! As I looked at the clock, it was exactly, if not very close to 90 minutes total. Most places seen to stop five minutes early but here, we got our full value. As I was driving towards the business address on Pyramid, I quickly realized HAB was located in the 2nd tallest building within the City Limits of Sparks,NV. You know that really tall building in Sparks, NV that has Sparks Florist inside! As I parked and walked inside I was excited about entering this building I had never been in. If you know me, then you know that I'm not really into people touching me that I don't know. To be honest I only like my wifey touching my exterior....so needless to say I was nervous about this massage. I got up to the 2nd floor and in I went, entering the HAB. Amanda was ready and greeted me. She provided me with a quick questionnaire which included if I wanted light, medium, or heavy pressure for my massage. I thought that was a cool option. Personally the best massage for me is one of relaxing and rest while I zone into no mans land. Not asleep, but not awake land my special Yelp friends. Minutes after my questionnaire was completed I entered the massage room. The room was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The table linens were white. And the bed was heated. My massage began and approximately 90 minutes later I returned to reality and felt AMAZING. I highly recommend Amanda as a masseuse. Amanda seemed to be a veteran massage therapist and very skilled and confident in her trade. One thing I really appreciated was how she aimed to fine tune the massage for the client and not give a cookie cutter 90 minute rub a dub dub see you later dude back rub. With an appointment, I ended up waiting almost 10 minutes, while (I assumed) my room was being prepped. Guess not because the face towels that were supposed to be warm felt like scratchy dry brand new never-been-washed towels 2/3 times I visited. For my most recent, my massage was on a regular table but instead of a cloth on the face cradle, it was a paper towel....... The hall door was OPEN during the better part of my last 90 minute massage...... Hearing people talking in the hallway and wondering if they could see my body if they walked by was not peaceful. They did some interesting limb bendy stuff on me that I think was trying to emulate Thai massage style, but it was just twisting my body in odd ways that felt weird with my scoliosis (which I'd already told them I had so idk why they did that). I kept waiting for them to return back to/take extra time to focus on the areas I designated on the tablet where my back muscles reallllly need extra care after moving to my lower body, but I am pretty sure they've never looked at my diagram any of the times I've been because this experience is consistent with all 3 visits I've had there. Came across my biggest pet peeve which is having stretches of time over a minute where it feels like the masseuse is just lightly spreading oil on my skin longer than necessary to run up the time. For these reasons and others, I was quite uncomfortable at this place and won't be back a 4th time. I really wanted to give it a chance and give the benefit of the doubt with more chances but 3 bad massages is a LOT of money to drop w little return for a public school teacher. Despite all that, the front desk staff was pleasant and the location is super convenient!! The quest for a massage that can soothe my tight scoliosis muscles continues.

I have had two sessions and have learned so much about my body and how to fix my bad behaviors with posture and exercise that have been causing me tremendous pain over the last two years. I have seen multiple orthopedic doctors, PT's and chiropractors and Alex is the first one to give me hope that I won't have to have another surgery on my shoulder.
