don't buy furniture here I bought furniture here 1-6-25. I was told by the designer Karen, great at her job, that as soon as the furniture arrived at their service facility they would call schedule and deliver my furniture. She even gave me a way to track the projected progress as it was made! The Ethan Allen "Premier in -Home Delivery" instructions said" once your order starts arriving you will be contacted by our scheduling professionals via phone number and or email address ". I followed the progress and was thrilled to see it started arriving at their facility but was not contacted by them. I waited but even after it was all in no call from them. So I called the store and talked to Vicki. She said she would email them, and they would call us back,and all I need to do was schedule delivery, they didn't call. So the next day I called Vicki back . She said" lets fix this problem I'll call them". I said o.k. But I also wanted their number . I never heard from them (Sierra was suppose to call )So I called the facility and only voice mail and cues that said hit one or two depending on what you needed but that wouldn't go thru to anything Finally I was able to get to a voice mail ext 250 ?Sierra? It was just a machine recording without any persons name. I left a message asking to have a call back. The next day when I called and left a message I did hear back Sierra called. She told me it would be at least another two weeks before they would deliver my furniture!!!! By now I am frustrated and told Sierra I wanted to talk to her and Vicki my service after the sale was unacceptable I just want them to credit my money back to me on my credit card and buy furniture someplace other than Ethan Allen. She said she would contact Vicki and they would call me. No return phone call. I called the store Vicki has taking off for a few days. I asked who I could talk to in a supervisory position or if they had a regional company manager I could speak with and Vivian told me I could either wait to hear back from Vicki or talk to Lisa. I said I would like to talk to Lisa. Vivian told me that Lisa wouldn't be in until this afternoon you could call back then. I understand, I understand why the store was empty except for myself and my husband when we shopped that day. I understand why they have bad reviews I understand how the no service policy works and that if you order from Ethan Allen don't expect things to go well after paying for your furniture. If you do order from them don't pay the balance only a minimal down payment and plan to set other things aside so you can chase around the store and "no service" center with phone calls. On a good note the people in the store are all very professional and pleasant. read more

Buyer beware! I ordered an Ethan Allen table which took over 6 months to receive. The in store sample of what I ordered was nothing like what I received. The table is nothing short of damaged and the in store sample is not only misleading but a different wood. Speaking with a store representative she said oh no I've never seen a table come out like that and said the large table on display in the same finish she found out had been sanded. This company is misleading with their merchandise and in store samples to choose from. Below are pictures including the in store sample and what I received. The first picture is the in store sample. I purchased several pieces of furniture from Ethan Allen in Frisco last June. As of December, I have received 4 pieces of Ethan Allen furniture, 1 rug and several chairs Ethan Allen had reupholstered for me. Two chairs and a bedside table has recently been delivered to their warehouse. I heard every type of excuse for the delay in my furniture delivery...pandemic, a 4 ft. Flood in their furniture warehouse. It's been 6 months since my order and $17,000+ later, I decided I no longer needed the two chairs and table. I notified the sales person who told me if I refused delivery, I would have to pay a "restocking" fee. I told her fine because it was better than paying another $4,000+ for furniture I not only didn't want but couldn't use. After I had moved into my new apartment, I realized I didn't need the pieces. In fact one wouldn't even fit in the room it was attended for. The General Manager then called me and practically insisted I take the furniture. I have never in my life been treated so condescendingly or rudely. When I refused delivery again, I was told they wouldn't refund my 1/3 deposit because I had signed a "contract". At the time I ordered, I was recovering from major surgery and making a very emotional and difficult move to a Senior apartment community. Do not order ANYTHING from Ethan Allen! I wish I could give them a zero rating. read more

My first experience shopping at Ethan Allen was positively excellent. Debra Coffey spent so much time with me and even offered to come out to my home and see how the floral arrangements worked on my tables. She gave me additional decorating tips while there and made recommendations for my chandelier choice. The silk florals look so real, and they look gorgeous in my rooms. I can't wait til my new chandelier is ordered, I think it's going to look spectacular in my foyer. She even helped me hire the electrician to install it and has followed up several times. I absolutely adore Ethan Allen! EA interior designer, Debra Coffey, is wonderful to work with. I first met Debra when I moved to North Texas in 2010. I have been an EA customer for years, so when I relocated from Michigan, I was thrilled to find an EA store so close (Frisco). Every time I walk in the store, I'm treated like family whether I'm there to purchase or just window shop. The entire staff at EA Frisco is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Debra's fun and bubbly personality is reflected in her amazing design style and flair. She is a true gem! Debra has helped me on many occasions put styles, fabrics, and finishes together to create a beautiful home that reflects who I am. Shopped for new living and dining room furniture for our new home and visited all the major stores in the metroplex. We couldn't find anything of the style and quality we wanted until we visited Ethan Allen for the first time. Not only do they have the quality we were seeking; they also offer expert design assistance which we needed. We worked with Karen W. and we couldn't have been more pleased with her sense of design and all the assistance she provided. She came to the house before we ordered, took measurements, drew a schematic, presented her suggestions and even showed up on the day of delivery(on her day off) to make sure everything was set up properly. Is it me or has the furniture at Ethan Allen gone down in quality. Seems like all the pieces are made of laminate. For the prices that this store is asking, I expect to buy solid wood pieces that can be refinished over time and handed down or sold if no longer needed. Older Ethan Allen items on craigslist show a real difference in how they used to make quality furniture. The sales staff is friendly and helpful, but I find it comical that once they know what type of style you like then they will ALWAYS agree that the choices and pieces you prefer are great choices. We have inconsistent experiences with Ethan Allen. While we have liked the advice and assistance of several designers with whom we have worked, the response from management on a few issues have been less than expected from such a big company. Our latest issue of wood boring insects from one of their furniture products has resulted in zero response from Ethan Allen. I find it inconceivable that a furniture company would not want to know more about one of their products infested with wood-boring insects. I guess their silence means they don't want to know about it and therefore can deny there might be a problem. UPDATE: The day after posting my review, and 4 weeks after reporting our issue to the Frisco store, Ethan Allen management, above the store level, called to apologize and tell us how unacceptable the slow response had been. They told me their call was because of Thursday's Yelp review. They offered full refunds. Of course, they offered nothing for the potential infestation of our home and our other wood furniture pieces by their infested products. I guess we are on our own for that. read more

I have long been an Ethan Allen customer and have a house full their furniture, but I recently purchased a few pieces of EA _Quick Ship_ furniture for the first time ever. And I absolutely love everything I got! Designer Michael Boldzau of the Frisco store assisted me from start to finish. He was THE perfect designer for me! I didn't want to spend much time choosing, and I also didn't want to spend much time waiting for my order to arrive. That's why I chose Quick Ship. The pieces are all great basics; they come in versatile neutral colors; and they arrive in 30 days. Sweet. I came to the Frisco store knowing which sofa I wanted after a quick online search (the 90" Marcus track arm Quick Ship in gray). But I really wanted and needed help choosing some other pieces to go with it. I dislike shopping ... I'm pretty picky ... I keep my stuff for a long time, so I want it to be "just right" ... I'm absolutely no expert at choosing anything design-wise -- I just know what I like when I see it ... and I have considerable trouble making big purchases, even when I can afford them. In a nutshell, I am an anxious shopper. Well, thank goodness for friendly, happy, helpful, and very talented Michael Boldzau! He was so very perfect for me! I love his style, his great taste, his natural talent, and his wonderfully comfortable demeanor. I told Michael that I really wanted to just "get in and get out," lol, which, for me (when it comes to choosing high-dollar items like furniture) means about 3-4 hours of decision-making ... followed by several days or weeks of second-guessing myself. Michael knew just which chairs to suggest. He set stuff up for me in the store, so that I could see it all together. He immediately brought an amazing floor lamp over to the mix. He answered all of my questions and walked that challenging fine line of guiding me when I needed design guidance, and giving me free reign to experiment, waffle, and doubt. He kept me from making design mistakes. I asked lots of annoying questions and he seemed to size me up right away and knew just what I might like, and just how to handle my concerns. Within about 45 minutes, we had chosen everything! But, of course, it then took me about 2 more hours before I was 100% sure they were definitely the right pieces for me. (They were. Michael was right about everything!) A month after I ordered, Michael ran interference on a delivery problem, got it squared away in no time, and ensured a more reasonable delivery arrangement at my request. He also helped me with a situation I accidentally created when I forgot that I put a credit freeze on my account as a security precaution. He provided exceptional customer service from A to Z! Michael also gave me considerable guidance, at my request, on a carpet that would go with all of my new pieces. I didn't want to repaint the walls. I didn't want to purchase new wood pieces. My goal was to purchase a new sofa, 2 new chairs, a few new accent tables, a few lamps, and a new carpet. Period. I wanted to avoid the hassle and cost of anything else. I wanted to keep it SIMPLE and QUICK. And sure enough ... Michael pulled it off! Everything looks so fantastic! Thank you, Michael! And thanks to Ethan Allen of Frisco who knew just the right designer to assign to this anxious customer and who saw to it that I was a very satisfied customer. :) (Four stars instead of five -- not because of anything to do with Michael or with the furniture, but because of the inexplicable difficulty I initially had with the EA credit card company, which was a ridiculous mess, and because of the initial difficulty I had with the originally inflexible delivery schedule. this review is in regards to attitude. i am a professional interior designer and when i say that i am establishing i know the home furnishings industry. i am looking around and out come the sales lady....all hair and nails like a dallas debutante. love her. unfortunately she used all the typical sales phrases...i was sitting on a sectional and she said, "oh shopping for a sectional today?" and she slightly did an eye roll. these sales people should learn to conduct themselves in a more discreet manner. it was a good laugh. when i was finished i realized you are better of going to kathy adams or aquisitions. similar prices, better quality and more exciting. We purchased the Cooper dining table and within 2 years it was in such terrible shape that we could not have guests over without covering it up with a table cloth. Contacted customer service who refused to warranty it and said damage was our fault for cleaning it the wrong way. I have 40 yr old Drexel table in my dining room that looks brand new so whatever. The finish is such a cheap laminate and it's just bad business to sell such poor quality furniture. Never again Ethan Allen!! And wish you'd stop sending so many catalogues too. read more

Our experience with Ethan Allen in Frisco has been great. Our designer, Doug Waite, was amazing. He came out to our house and was able to create a design based on our existing decor and style and the things we expressed that we wanted to change. He helped to put together a color palette that flowed seamlessly throughout each room downstairs with fabric coverings for the furniture, accent pillows, rugs and the furniture. Actually, he even helped pick out colors to paint the walls and fireplace. The quality of the furniture has been great and we are really happy with our new look. I would recommend Doug to anyone - he has gone above and beyond, coming to the house each time furniture was delivered and even helping to help accessorize our decor and hang art on the walls. read more

BEWARE! I seriously don't know how this company is around and can treat their customers like this. I do wish I checked reviews here before purchasing from this place. They do not care about you once you hand over the credit card. Our delivery date has moved from 4 months to 5 months now. The reason? There is a manufacturing delay. And how do I find out about this? When I call to check on the status a WEEK from when I was told it is due initially. I do not trust this company. If you have a manufacturing delay you find out NOT the last couple weeks of the 4 months. The sales folks are very nice and promises are made at the time of sale. about how the estimated time is the longest possible and it may even be shorter. Oh and how we will be given a status weekly. I had to call every single time for a status. Also, They lock you in. Fine print says no cancellation within 72 hours after the purchase. STAY AWAY TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE! read more

We have an "open concept" house and needed additional furniture, but something that would blend with the furniture we already owned. We went to Ethan Allen and met Terri Myers, who worked with us to find the perfect furniture to finish our house. She was meticulous in searching fabrics, measuring our room, and placing the furniture. She was present when the furniture was delivered to make sure we were satisfied and that the furniture fit perfectly. She kept in touch with us and even called us after a few weeks to suggest another placement for the nesting tables we had purchased. We couldn't ask for a more attentive designer. Went to Ethan Allen because we finally decided to make an investment in nice quality furniture when we moved to a new house in DFW. All I can say is there quality and service has reached rock bottom and they continue to ask for premium pricing. We ordered about $17k worth of furniture for our new home are very disappointed with the quality of the large sectional we purchased. Upon receiving it, we noticed after the first couple of days that the cushion on the chaise kept sliding off and your body would sink into the corner. After calling multiple times, they finally sent someone to inspect it and they stated it was within spec. We complained and they offered to have it fixed as a "special courtesy". Special courtesy!? we paid 10k for a couch and the cushions don't even fit, you can't sit straight without sinking into the corner which then pushes the cushion further off the base? I complained to the managers of the store and they said there was nothing they can do. They will treat you great until you give them your credit card and then all semblance of service goes away. Hell, it took over three months just to get the coffee table we ordered. Will never shop Ethan Allen again. We went to Nebraska Furniture Mart to replace our bedroom set and got a very high quality set at a fair price and the service was fantastic. They stand by their merchandise as well. read more
