That's what u experienced, until I remembered that Airworks, a local, family owned business, recently added plumbing to their list of services. So they were no longer, just the AC/ heating people I had known about in the community, they had increased their services available. I reached out to Stephanie, the brilliant mom who's pictured on their vehicles, and told her what I needed. She connected me to Karmen. They were very quick and responsive to scheduling an appointment for a technician to come out to my house and replace my toilet, it was practically instantaneous. The day prior to my scheduled appointment, I got a text message saying that they would arrive during a four hour period. I must say, It's very easy to respond to them in regards to text messages. I got a text message letting me know when the technician/rep Riley would be arriving. He was very friendly, informative, and helpful. He explained what he'd be doing and let me know the process, as well as the estimated time of completion. Riley was really friendly and really fun to work with. We talked a little bit while he was removing my old toilet and installing the new one. Get ready for the addition of plumbing. Natalie was able to find a slot that worked for my tenant and Roger visited the property shortly after. He gave a detailed quote and diagnosis of why the AC went out as well as recommended fixes. The other company tried to sell me a new unit by suggesting there may be a leak and replacing the R22 refrigerant would be very expensive. Needless to say, Roger won my business. He also went out of his way to show there was no leak and suggested the other tech might've mistaken the deferred maintenance as a leak because the unit hadn't been well maintained and thus not cooling efficiently. I signed up for their maintenance plan which is very reasonable as I was quoted a much higher price by other companies. I'll need to replace the condenser in a few years and Roger will be the guy I call.

They were very receptive to feedback and always asked for instructions where I wanted registers or ducts pulled. I like to be hands-on so this worked well for me. From the time I agreed on a price until the system was up and running took four days, including one day of plumbing. Lalo came by the next day to make sure it was all running well. My only negative was that their work felt a bit rushed towards the end as they had to move on to another project. It's been a very cold winter in San Francisco so demand is high. There were a couple minor nits I pointed out to Lalo and he sent a guy to fix it, which was great.
