Has all we need to play as a family. It has a nice place for baseball, basketball courts, a playground, and of course a few unsavory fellas. At first Xan was weary but he was stoked I made him play there. We had a great game of soccer and met Gilbert and his ducks on our way out. What a great day. To be honest this is a great park. My dad used to call it pinata park because it was packed with people having birthday parties on the weekend with their colorful pinatas. I now see why. It is a great birthday spot. Rent the jumper, get the park permit that allows adult beverages and invite me to your damn party here! I will bring the pinata.

Isn't even from 20 minutes of picking up glass

UPDATE! Watch for this couple, have like 5 or 6 dogs. My dogs went up to say hi and one of their dogs started attacking mine. And the lady said that it's cuz they are following her so she's going to show them to leave her alone. Could be an extremely nice dog park if it was taken care of. Trash and glass everywhere! Make sure to bring your own poop bags and water, as there is none at all

We use to go to this park every weekend when our kids were younger and now we have gone with our niece. I like that they have bathrooms and they have covered tables. The only downside of this park is the parking situation which on the weekends there is not enough spaces that is especially true if there is a baseball game going on. The other thing is how it's next to a busy road there is a lot of traffic going by all the time. It use to be when the lot was full you could just park across the street but now there is shops there that use all the parking. Still a nice park for the kids and room for them to run and play and plenty of mature trees that offer good shade in many areas. One other nice thing is there is a Starbucks right across the street so you can walk over and get a pick me up when you need it.

Mulch can be easily dug leaving the fencing with a gap underneath.

Closed for remodeling. Not sure when it'll be reopened. The whole thing is closed no parking or anything right now

Very good playground. Large park for whatever your plans are. Located nearby lots of stores and food if you need a break. A hidden gem.

This park is mesmerizing. PARKING: TONS and I repeat TONS! Best part: FREEEEEEEE muahahah SIZE: WOW when is Yelp going to let us add emojis so I can show you with heart eyes that the size of this park is INSANE! It doesn't get better than this. It just goes and goes and goes and goes. Way back! CLEANLINESS: I actually stepped on a doggy boo boo lmao!!! My vans are ruined right now tbh!!! Sheesh... i don't wanna judge the park by that tho because that was simply a mistake on the dog owners behalf *ahem* DOG POPULATION: They have a SMALL doggo area and a BIG doggo area - we love a good park that caters to all shapes colors flavors and sizes!! Yasss no discrimination here. The dogs here do follow the rules so they are separated- (little Italy - no dogs follow that rule they all play in one big area despite there being signs for separation) but that is for the safety of your dogs. SEATING: there is only one bench on each side that will solely fit 3 people total (ya better know those people in this pandemic - no stranger could sit next to you) they are in the direct sunshine SHADE: not much shade - there is a big tree towards the back however you would have to stand if you wanna stray away from the vitamin D The good news....people do bring their own park chairs / lawn chairs with the detachable umbrella - I've seen that and personally I think that's genius!

They have a small dog side and big dog side, but if you bring your big dog/puppy to the small dogs side, most people are usually okay with that as long as it's not too aggressive in its play. Both sides have pretty big areas so they have room to run, run, run. And bring that's it's a public park as well, it's all natural, with grass, dirt, and even gophers. Not much in shade; there's a couple of trees on each side. A couple of tables and benches, too, but that's it. Water stations on each side are good. Both sides have little dog obstacles/ramps for them to exercise on. Overall, it's a really good dog park, and the size is one of the biggest, if not the biggest dog park, in the county.

When you approach this area, you can easily be misdirected to the county regional park. To avoid this before you go up the hill to the entrance of the county regional park make a right into the driveway that shows the Sweetwater Reservoir. Once you get in there, you will go along a long dirt road to a parking lot that is eventually located next to the Reservoir fishing area. It is a beautiful trail and it's wonderful to be able to walk around the water and see ducks and birds and other wildlife as well as beautiful plants like Manzanita and chaparral. It is a wonderful trail hike, with beautiful and refreshing wind and sunshine. They have Porta potties that are super clean and well-maintained. I would say the porta potties are about a half a mile apart. They also have a bench with an overlook platform along the trail, and everything that we encountered seem to be very clean and well maintained. We will definitely visit this place again and it is definitely a wonderful place to hike. We were able to get out and started to explore the trail and after about 15 minutes, we realized that there was a Ranger honking at us with his siren coming around the bend. He made his way up to us in his truck and indicated that he would be closing the gate to the park in the next five minutes. We told him that we were told by the Park Ranger at the SD County Park check in booth that this trail closes at 8 PM tonight. He then said that we were not the only family to tell him that but that the Sweetwater Reservoir Trail Park actually closes at 5 PM because it's not a part of the SD County Regional Parks; they close at 8p. We rushed back to our vehicle, which was about a mile and a half away and we were able to get in and leave. We were very lucky that this Park Ranger decided to wait for us because we would've been locked into four or five gates and not able to actually get out of the park, even to get an Uber. This was great to understand and know so that when we go next time, we'll go a lot earlier before 5 PM.

I was worried about the heat, but the indoor area was very well air conditioned. The outdoor ceremony by the lake was also surprisingly pleasant and made for a gorgeous backdrop. When I was a kid most Easter's & Birthday parties were here. One park has a pier to fish the other has a loading deck for boats. When I was a teenager I came here as well but not for family gatherings but to hang out with friends. And it's a good spot to bring girls late at night & you know....play BINGO in the back seat :) the first park has alot of parking spots for that. Now that I'm a dad & family man I come again for birthday parties & also just to hang with family to grill & see the low riders on weekends. My favorite reason to come tho is to see the Sunsets with my daughters, have a late picnic, listen to music & just watch the sun set, love it. Me & my family's favorite park in the South Bay hands down. Now with the Gaylord Resort next door the park looks better & is extended. We will continue to go & see those sunsets & one day I'll bring my grandkids here too. See you soon J Street Park.
