I'm so glad and happy that I have found doctor Friedland when I did. I've been going to doctor Friedland for over 15 years and I am satisfied with her treatment after every appointment with her. When I first came to doctor Friedland, I needed a deep cleaning, a few fillings, a root canal, and a crown. Since then, I've only gotten regular cleanings twice a year and one more crown. It was really surprising to me how drastically my dental health can be improved with the brushing and flossing techniques that doctor Friedland taught me, along with her precision and accuracy in her cleanings and other work. Doctor Friedland never gives me any treatment or procedure that is not needed, and on top of that, she stresses the importance of brushing and flossing twice a day in order to prevent cavities developing in the first place, so that I won't have to go through the expensive and somewhat painful process of treating them. Doctor Friedland's emphasis on a strong and persistent prevention method really wowed me and showed me how honest of a dentist she is. During my procedures with her, there is always very minimal pain, and I could tell that doctor Friedland does her absolute best to reduce the amount of discomfort I have. Of course, no one likes going to the dentist, but doctor Friedland makes sure she does her best to make me as comfortable as possible. The office is pretty nice. It looks pretty newly remodeled, except that the waiting room is just a little bit smaller than some others that I've seen. Its still comfortable though, and has multiple big chairs to sit in while you wait. The waiting room also had many different magazines, along with many dental health journals that I've found pretty interesting throughout my visits to this office. Overall, this is definitely a dentist that I recommend to everyone who asks me or is looking for a new dentist. I got Doctor Friedland's contact info through one of my colleagues for which I am very grateful. She's the type of a doctor I've been looking for a very long time: very polite, attentive, highly knowledgeable and very skilled. I was pretty impressed after I noticed on her wall behind the receptionist a diploma and an award for graduating in the top 10% of the class. While I was filling out the patient form, I saw quite a few dental publications and articles on her desk, which was very reassuring as it's always nice to know that my dentist is on top of all the latest techniques and procedures. As someone who didn't see a dentist in 18 months I came expecting a lot of problems and a scary estimate. There were a couple issues but the proposed treatment plan looked quite conservative, unlike past dentists that I've been to, with only one filling requiring attention within a month, and the rest were placed under observation which I'd eventually schedule. Before the exam, she did a full mouth cleaning and with over a year and a half since my last cleaning, she did a very thorough job. Doctor Friedland told me about how dental cleanings may not be the favorite part of my day and certainly not a highlight of my week, but they are something that must be done twice a year to prevent buildup of plaque, bacteria and bad breath among other health issues. I learned that in the long term, it's certainly better not to skip cleanings. Doctor Friedland really showed the importance of not skipping flossing and to brush after meals, at work after lunch, and especially after having coffee with sweets. Overall, what really stood out to me about Doctor Friedland is that she never over treats or does unnecessary procedures, unlike what many other dentists do nowadays, and I'm very thankful for that. After 2 years, I'm very happy with Dr. Friedland and her staff. Very no-nonsense, straightforward, professional, and most importantly, highly skilled, knowledgeable, and honest! We switched from another dentist to Dr. Friedland because we suspected our previous dentist was recommending treatments too liberally. On several occasions, Dr. Friedland's advice (which usually takes the form of erring on the side of not having a procedure done) has proven to be correct. As an example, our previous dentist recommended a filling for a cavity that Dr. Friedland pointed out was not actually there - it was just gum irritation that went away after following a simple regimen. Dr. Friedland does the cleanings herself - something I really like because then she has a real basis for knowing whether there are any new issues. She is very, very thorough when it comes to cleaning. As for procedures, her highly evident skills makes quick work of them. I also like that she uses very-low-emission digital X-rays, and she has a TV in every examination room. She also remembers you and your history with her. read more

It's hard to believe Dr. Friedland has many positive ratings based on my horrible experience with her. I'm only giving ONE star due to her front office staff. Her assistant is OK, just average nothing superior. Dr. Freidland is either miserable or very arrogant, acting like she's the best dentist in this world. She made me feel like I was born yesterday. I know my kids' teeth are not in terrible shape/health but kept warning me like they are going to lose all their teeth any day. It's unfortunate she is a pediatric dentist considering how cold and unfriendly she is. My kids' dental experience at her office was the worst and most stressful thing I ever went through my entire life. Worst of all, although I know we didn't have the best dentist prior to coming to Dr. Friedland, she had the nerve to ask me who my kids' dentist was and criticized the sloppy work done on their teeth. Dr. Friedland has been my dentist for approximately 5 years. I've gone to many dentists during my life and she is the one I'm most comfortable with. I've had a fear of dental procedures due to extensive work needed since childhood and poor experiences and pain in general. She has made my difficult procedures as pain free as possible. I had deep cleanings , multiple fillings and crowns done by her and each and every time was very pleased with the actual job and results. She is a very dedicated , knowledgeable and honest dentist. I was referred to dr.Friedland by a friend few months ago. I had a crown placed by our family dentist in Los Gatos three years ago.The crown never felt right,my gums would always bleed around it , and I do floss. Eventually, I had an emergency, a bad toothache. Dr Friedland checked the tooth, she showed me the Xray , which demonstrated a ledge at the bottom of that crown. She was very gracious: did not comment on quality of that crown, did not recommend a replacement crown. She spent 30 minutes smoothing the ledge between the teeth, charging me for exam and X ray only! My wife and three children are now her patients, everybody likes her and her staff. read more

Dr Friedland is a great dentist. I am getting my ortho done with Clear Correct. Clear Correct is like invisaline so I don't need to wear metal braces. It was very simple and easy to start and maintain, and the process is working. I was told by a previous dentist that I needed my jaw reconstructed in order to correct my teeth, but Dr. Friedland was able to start the process without going through with such a horrible surgery. My little brother also goes to her and she has taken away his fears about the dentist. She is the kindest dentist I know. Cannot say enough about Dr.Friedland. Today she completed my implants treatment. I've been rather miserable over the last 8-9 months after having a 3-unit bridge removed and a large hole on my left side of the mouth. I was afraid to open my mouth, could not talk quickly at meetings, very uncomfortable feeling.
