Many of them were very difficult to fix. We felt so overwhelmed, but Dr. Hong was incredibly patient and did an excellent job fixing all of them! I was also bothered by a small hole in my tooth that didn't show up on any X-rays. Two other doctors I visited both couldn't find it and told me to ignore it. Only Dr. Hong truly listened to me. My child had their wisdom teeth removed at iPro Dental and experienced partial numbness and loss of sensation in their tongue immediately after the procedure -- something we later learned could indicate possible nerve damage. We received an email outlining potential risks two days before the surgery, but there was no in-person discussion to explain those risks or answer questions. Consent forms were signed after the procedure, which felt concerning to us. We contacted iPro Dental shortly after the surgery to report the numbness and tingling. Dr. He referred us to an oral surgeon, but we were not informed at that time that nerve repair procedures can have a limited window of effectiveness. We only learned later -- from a different oral surgeon -- that earlier intervention might have improved the chances of recovery. By then, that window had likely passed. There were additional concerns. On the day of surgery, we found a loose suture in my child's mouth and had to return to have it re-stitched. The referral to the oral surgeon wasn't sent until we returned two weeks later to have the sutures removed, which delayed follow-up evaluation and care. This has been a very upsetting experience for our family. I strongly encourage parents and patients to ask detailed questions before any procedure, ensure that all risks and treatment timelines are clearly explained and discussed, and consider consulting a specialist in wisdom tooth removal. read more

Initial experience through Delta Dental provided under Kaiser Advantage Plus seemed fine (4 cleanings for me and my husband and 2 fillings for me) but after my husband needed extraction of a broken molar and was referred to an oral surgeon, also covered by Delta Dental, was told that Ipro would no longer accept us as patients. All billing costs for services other than the cleanings were paid as billed (fillings were entirely covered under Delta) and when I asked why we would no longer be accepted, I was told "because they had too many patients." I don't think this is how insurance is supposed to work and certainly would not recommend them. Also, compared to my previous dentist's hygienist, I don't think the cleanings were very thorough. I also see that IPRO is still indicating they accept Delta Dental and intend to file a grievance. read more

I want to make sure that everyone understands this review isn't about her service or her ability or her Job. she is a fine dentist I did like going to her. it's about how she does her business, illegal tactics she uses to get the patients . Committing fraud, cheating people. I wouldn't have caught her if the $amount difference was small. instead of the rate which she agreed to charge ( insurance rate- much lower)before I became her patient, stating that her office accepts Delta Care insurance which I had, I actually walked into Iprodental dental to enquire. Thats how I got the root canal done by her. initially I didn't suspect anything till she asked for around $740 to put the cap on the root canaled tooth which was alarming as I knew my copay wasn't that height so I checked with my insurance company and found out that she had overcharged me for initial treatment (3 times the insurance allowed amount). I was still willing to go back & get the work finished if she would honor the insurance rake which was let that 50% of the corted price. Do youself a favor and go to another dentist. I chose iPro Dental because of the good reviews on yelp. I went there as a new patient. When they sent me the treatment plan, the copays were 5 times more expensive than what my insurance copays should be. Dr He's receptionist confirmed they were charging more as the insurance prices were too low for them. I'm pretty sure this is illegal, especially when I'm already paying for my insurance. They refused to do it for the insurance copays and made me transfer to another dentist. They were not rude and they cooperated on giving me the xrays and other info needed (no complains on that). I went to another dentist and I'll be paying $700 for everything, which correspond to my insurance copays. iPro Dental was charging me $3200! There is another review in Yelp (in chinese so you might have to click on reviews in chinese to see it) with the same experience. There is even a picture of the treatment plan as evidence! read more

This place is on the sterile side, interpersonally. Dentist cordial, not pushy with the selling and gives it to you straight. Her first language is Chinese, but she manages well enough in English. She is gentle with bedside manner and soft-spoken. The receptionist, on the other hand, is unprofessional and mocks patients. She is brash, dismissive, and rude. She also has a tendency to laugh sarcastically at your questions instead of being helpful. It's a shame she will be the fall of this business because her role is the face of the office, the first you come in contact with. My first time at iPro dental. Hard to give it positive comments. No greeting at reception that throws a form in front of you with a bit of attitude. The cleaning was below average and my teeth hardly felt any cleaner than before their work. Bedside manners were non-existent. At one point I heard someone talking to me and it was the dentist who had walked behind me and just started talking. I actually asked if she was talking to me and she said yes without repeating anything. It was not clear what she was saying because of heavy accent and she seemed annoyed that I did not understand her. Dr. Hong He has been my dentist since I moved to the Bay Area, almost 10 years ago. Then, in high school, when we noticed that my teeth were slightly uneven and needed adjusting, she did the orthodontic work on my teeth! After about 2 years of braces, which was a relatively painless experience thanks to Dr. Hong He's skills! Flash forward to college, when I came back home for break this year, I went for my yearly check-up and Dr. Hong He noticed that my lower jaw was shifting a little due to a wisdom tooth that was starting to show. Given that I was returning back to school in 2 weeks and the somewhat urgency of this update, Dr. Hong He was extremely flexible and understanding, and I was able to schedule an appointment for wisdom tooth extraction 2 days later! Before the procedure, she made sure I knew what to do afterwards and how to best recover, and during the procedure, she was kind enough to check on me often to make sure I wasn't experiencing any pain or discomfort. Future patients beware. This Dentist is misleading and the level of care is below standard of treatment. If could give no stars I would. I went in for a cleaning and a overall check up and this turned out to be a bad experience. Just to make an appointment was a chore. Once I saw Dr. He, she did a 5 min cleaning and said I had no cavities. I followed up and asked to see her because of a cavity which was obvious to me. Anyhow, I get a text stating that I needed a root canal and that I had to come up with an additional $1,400 to cover for the cost of a crown and restorative work. I could not believe this dentist. Anyhow, I ended getting a second opinion and seeing another dentist. Dr. Miller said, I have a cavity and no root canal is necessary. He will fill the cavity do a better job cleaning my teeth. Dr.He called me several times to remove the bad review and I said I would once I got a second opinion if and only if what she said regarding the root canal was true. Which turned out to be untrue. I do not trust Dr. He and you should not either! She gives good dentist a bad reputation. read more
