Despite living in asheboro, we've only visited this gem once. It's 100% a mistake on our part. Each…read moremeal comes with smashed potatoes and slaw--I don't try the slaw (I don't like it...picky eater problems) but my husband said it was fantastic! It had crunch instead of being too wet or too mushy. The smashed potatoes were very good! Potatoes served like that aren't usually my thing but they were delicious and well seasoned. I ordered the shrimp and corn while my husband got the crab cakes. Some places are mostly filling with hints of crab, Full Moon was the opposite--maximum amount of crab with the right amount of "cake". The shrimp was great and perfectly steamed. The corn came out piping hot! The service was fantastic. The seating is mostly bar tops which is cool and allows for the service to be seamless. Honestly it felt like a beach vacation on a Tuesday. Our next visit will be on a Tuesday so I can try the all you can eat crab legs.

Inside is a huge bar and looks like all seating is at the bar. It had a Key West/marine/beach vibe to it and they play great music. The staff was attentive and friendly. Was given their house potatoes and Cole slaw with the Fish n Chips and everything was delicious. Very generous portions, food comes out hot and cooked perfectly. My second visit was just as delightful. Had the Shrimp Boil platter with corn, sausage and garlic toast. It was super yummy! Highly recommend!

I visited this seafood restaurant on the hunt for fish and chips…read more It's a typical seafood establishment that has seen better days. It's still open and running because either the food is good or they give huge portions. I came in after lunch but before dinner so there were not many people inside. The lunch rush was gone and the restaurant appeared to have all of the tables cleaned off and chairs put back neatly, ready for their dinner rush. I ordered the Friday lunch special of Baby White Fish with French Fries and Cole Slaw. It also came with hush puppies. Ordered malt vinegar on the side. I was pleasantly surprised. The sweet tea was good. The portions are huge and the fish was perfectly cooked, thick and meaty yet flaky. Their batter is perfectly seasoned and gives a great crunch. Their cole slaw was good, tasted fresh. The hush puppies were good. I've had better and I've had a lot of bad ones but these were good. The French fries...well they were not in the fryer long enough. Service was good. Staff was attentive and got my food to the table hot. If the fries had been cooked until crispy, I would have given them 4 stars. Not for the restaurant itself, but for the food. Why is this place still open? It has good food AND large portions and the food comes out hot. People are not coming here for the ambiance. I will be back probably just for take out and would recommend for anyone looking for good fried seafood.

Attended Friday noon. No customers! Customer service is everything! People remember that. If restaurants don't serve customers with respect, they don't want to come back! By the way, food was good. I plan to not go back because of customer service.

Coast in Vass - worth the trip!…read more We went out to Coast for the first time this evening. Excellent food and friendly, attentive service. The place is nicely remodeled and looks bright and cheerful.

This is our first visit to this establishment. We were so impressed with their sister restaurant,…read more"The Roast" in Whispering Pines, we looked forward to the opening of the Coast. Our order consisted of Coconut Shrimp, Low Country Boil, and Flounder Basket. For dessert we had Key lime pie with mango drizzle. The restaurant is well decorated, clean, and has options: dining room, Sun room, and patio. The atmosphere is welcoming. Service was prompt, attentive, and professional. We don't expect perfection; how problems are handled matter most. Our Coconut Shrimp had several pieces undercooked. The wait staff immediately acknowledged the issue and management produced a new fully cooked replacement served with a sincere apology. Since we ate half the order before seeing the issue, I attempted to waive off the offer for the staff removing the appetizer from our bill. They graciously insisted that it be on the house. Low country boil and the flounder basket did not disappoint! The boil was pleasantly spicy- not too much, but just enough zing to awaken the senses. The flavors were rich and buttery. The flounder was lightly breaded, flaky and light. Note the tartar sauce had a light, lemon flavor. The hush puppies were delicious and fresh. The mango pie had a delightful flavor, slightly acidic and not too sweet. The mango drizzle balanced the acidity well. Note the light, flavorful crust. We highly recommend this establishment and look forward to dining here again soon.
