It had a nice crispy exterior but that's about it. The bun bo was decent, but they literally had no nothing else in there noodle except, a couple pieces of meat and cha. Based on the recommendation of fellow elite Sam L, I visited this restaurant and tried the pho and oxtail pho. Honestly, I had minimal expectations since almost all pho locations in the DMV area spike the broth with MSG. I was pleasantly surprised to find a good bowl of pho...and especially surprised about the oxtail pho. The oxtail pho is a bit pricey at ~$13, but comes with a generous serving of meat. We've done a quick test on the broth by comparing against the normal pho and it is eons better. It's clear that the bone enhances the flavor of the broth and makes it richer. While the concept of an oxtail pho may be repulsive to some, this is clearly a winner and definitely worth a try. Besides the kobe pho at pho chi, I'd say this is the only other pho spot I would eat in Maryland. Enjoy and certainly stop by Bobapop for deserts after eating here. I honestly can safely say this is by far my favorite restaurant. I live 40 minutes away & it's always been worth the drive. The pho (vegetable pho to be specific) has been there for hangovers, heartbreaks, & to satisfying the cravings. It honestly just taste like 'home' there's no other better way to explain it. Such mixed feelings for this place. Cons: I had been really wanting to try Euphoria out because I had seen that they offered oxtail pho, which is so hard to get in this area. We finally got around to ordering take out during COVID. And man... disappointing. The portions are RIDICULOUSLY small. And they are overpriced. My oxtail pho was supposedly a large bowl. Cost $16. And only had two pieces of oxtail, and barely any noodles. I ended up adding veggies to it to make it more filling. In the photos, they make it appear as if you get 3-4 pieces. But you only get 1-2. My wife had a small eye round pho which was around $11. She barely had any meat. On top of that, they gave us a tiny bag of sprouts and basil to share. We ALSO paid extra $2 for having everything in a to-go packaging. My wife hated it. And so we won't be coming back. Pros: I liked the flavor of the broth. I liked the actual ox-tail, the two pieces I got. But otherwise, underwhelming. Noodles were extra soft and mushy. Grilled Shrimp Spring Rolls are good. When our appetizer finally arrived, took a bite and there was hair in the spring roll. Server took it away with no apology. You'd think the manager would come out and apologize, but nothing. Our avocado shake was clumps of ice and no flavor. After 40 minutes, we still didn't have our entrees. Table that got seated before us was just getting their appetizers as we got up to leave. Pho in the Kentlands... Yeah, that's exactly what this area was sorely missing before Euphoria made its presence. The place has charm to it. I think it has to do with the fact that pretty much all the buildings on Main Street are nice & quaint. The restaurant's small size gives the place a homier feel. Their seats are upholstered with a velvety material and are comfortable to sit on. The menu is a little bit more extensive than other pho places in the area, offering up: soup, rice dishes, and a variety of appetizers. The egg rolls were light and flavorful. I like how they weren't overly oily and had a nice crunch to it. Unfortunately, the pho falls flat here. I found the broth here to be flavorless. For me, the broth really makes or breaks a bowl of pho. I just didn't taste any spice or beef. It seemed to taste really watered down. One pro about this place is that the meat servings are pretty generous. Even the side portions are worth the price if you want extra. The tripe was delicate and not overly rubbery & the skirt flank could've been done a little rarer, but still good overall. Pho in the Kentlands? I really really wanted to like it here because going to Pho Nom Nom or Pho Eatery is further out. It's definitely a small place so no room for really big parties but that's ok. Got the spring rolls which were cooked in the rice paper style that I like because of the crispy and chewy texture. However, it was way too oily. Felt like I was eating straight oil. Would've been much better if it weren't for being drenched in oil. Also ordered the pho which was really bland. Had to add a lot of hoisin sauce to really make it edible. This place easily could've been better as the potential is there with a few more tweaks to really bring it to the level of the other pho restaurants in the area. Again I wanted to like it but there needs to be improvements to succeed. The Good: - Vietnamese iced coffee - was not too sweet like others. The fried spring rolls were good but way too oily. Get rid of that and its really good. - Full menu of great Vietnamese food The Bad: - Small and not much seating. - Pho was bland and required adding sauce. Amazingly delicious food for a good value. I recently took notice of this relatively new Viet Namese restaurant. I came in to have some spring rolls, then some summer rolls, my two favorite appetizers. They were extremely yummy! My associates enjoyed a delicious pho soup but I was already full by that time. Still it looked quite amazing. I will definitely come back at some point to have a large bowl of pho all to myself. The owners are very friendly, polite and professional. The interior is very nicely kept and spotless, and one other important factor that distinguishes this restaurant from other Viet Namese establishments is their very comfortable chairs. I have ate at this Vietnamese restaurant a few times. Pho is very good here, but vermicelli is mostly what I usually ordered since its convinence for me during my lunch break. Their summer rolls are very good, especially with the peanut butter dipping sauce. The spring rolls is also good too, the mixture of meats and seafoods with fish sauce dipping taste just right. Today i went to euphoria to have a dinner with my friend, sadly the restaurant is closed for 3 days due to kitchen renovation. Oh well, I just have to come back here when they reopen again. I've been looking for a Vietnamese restaurant that makes less salty pho, and I think I've found it! The broth tastes just right. Oxtail pho was yummy. I really wish I could give zero star. After seeing great reviews here, and knowing that Yoyogi is closed until 9/18, I figured I would pick up something here during my lunch break today to go with my fresh boba from the newly-opened BoBaPoP Tea Bar two doors down. Ooh boy was that a terrible idea. I called in about 20-25 minutes ahead to place my order of the Vermicelli with Grilled Beef. I was told that they were "slow" at the time, so it might take 20-25 minutes ("slow" is definitely not the word I would use to describe being unable to fulfill the order in a reasonable timeframe, though, having previously worked in the food industry myself). Thinking that it would take me that long to drive over, I let the girl over the phone know that it was okay. I arrived in the area and placed my boba order at BoBaPop first, then walked over to Euphoria Kitchen to pay for and pick up my food, only to find out that my food was not ready (this is after 25 minutes), and they were having issues with a few customers' orders (a table of 3), and the workers seemed extremely confused. All 3 front counter workers/servers talked to that table, and after sometime figured out what was wrong, but even after that, they still had a wrong order, which one of the workers decided to just eat right away in the middle of her shift. I heard the workers still commenting on the wrong order while the customers are still around, and overall not showing any professionalism. They also put up a hand-written sign on the door "We are closed until further notice. If you have placed an order, you will be taken care of" in the middle of this mess. Not sure what was happening, but if a few mishaps ruin an entire lunch hours of operation, I'm not sure they know what they are doing. I realized that I had been waiting even longer, so I got up to pick up my boba order, then came back to Euphoria Kitchen, and I had to wait again. At this point I had waited so long that my lunch break was almost over. The workers had asked me a few times about what my order was, and I saw a to go order finally ready, so I was ready to just take it and then leave, however one of the workers had to ask the other AGAIN about what my order was. I was honestly baffled about the lack of communication between the workers. I absolutely will not be coming back, since the food itself was okay, but this was probably the WORST service I have ever seen in a restaurant. Tip for management: hire people with common sense, and train them at least the basics of customer service. read more

I am not sure why someone would leave a low rating for this place because its one of the best pho places in the Rockville/Gaithersburg/Bethesda area. I have lived in NOVA prior to moving to Rockville and had access to some of the best Pho places in Arlington/Falls Church/Tysons Corner. Its hard to top the authenticity and taste of the Vietnamese restaurants at the Eden Ctr. I have also lived in the Dallas and Houston area where the Vietnamese population and dining is large. Living in Maryland I was disappointed in the quality and variety of Viet restaurants. The only other place that was sorta decent is Pho & Grill in Montgomery Village and that is sometimes a hit or miss. They are more of a "fast healthy" take our place. Great for a fast bite to eat in a hurry. My wife and I found this little gem on accident after leaving Whole Foods and decided to give it a try. We were very impressed of the food presentation, quality, and authentic taste. The rolls were made fresh to order and wrapped tightly. Not over stuffed with noodles. Meat/filling to noodle ratio was correct. I ordered the quail appetizer, 3 types of rolls, pho, and grilled pork w/rice and sunny side egg. All were very generous in portions. They give a lot of meat in the pho soup. You can even tell the quality of the noodles they use. Broth had good "home style" flavor and was not dark or oily. Not tainted with the typical MSG flavoring. The ambience is quiet..and a true "mom and pop" place. The owner and staff are the ones making the food in the back of the kitchen. Its clean, decorated, and nicely kept. The restroom was clean and well kept. Appears she hired the local high school kids to work as wait staff. I thought that was nice considering more adults are taking over those positions. They also could communicate clearly, politely, and effectively when I was ordering my food. I will say that the wait time for food is longer than I expected. If you are ordering carryout be sure to give it some time before picking up or call to check on it. I allow for it and it doesn't bother me so much because the quality of the food is worth the wait. Above all their food is not made with MSG. Came here for some egg rolls as a snack and was very pleased. Great authentic Vietnamese food I this cozy warm space. Service was fast, good presentation and prices are reasonable. The vegetarian egg roll is just as good as the meat and a lot of their options are vegetarian friendly! Lots of gluten free options and no MSG so the flavors come through the spices they use and it's not greasy. The Calamari was my favorite. I've been looking for a good pho place around the area and I found it! I'm in Rockville and I drive all the way to Kentlands to eat their pho. Their broth is very good as is without the extra fixins and no MSG!!! The meat quality is great and plenty and I love the raw onions they place on top. YESSS! Go here! The pho here is quite good, and NO MSG reaction afterward! That is huge for me. I will not go back to places that use a lot of it, no matter how good the soup tastes initially. But I have to say that I occasionally make my own pho at home, which is MSG-free of course, and it's a little tastier than this broth. They could use a little more star anise and other seasonings in the simmering of their brew. That being said, I don't always have time to make my own, so I appreciate Euphoria Kitchen being in the Kentlands. As another poster commented, the service definitely needs help. They are quite cordial, but they are s-l-o-w. Good thing my daughter and I weren't in a hurry, because the waits for food and drink were noticeably long. It's a really small place, manageable for one server if s/he hustles, but the guy Friday night was not hustling. My Vietnamese coffee didn't come out until close to the end of the meal. I'd ordered it at the beginning. Despite that, I will be back. The veg summer rolls were amazing, with ample filling and a perfect peanut dipping sauce; the coffee and bubble tea are on point; and there is plenty of meat in the pho, even the small size. Food is great! Service could use some work, don't come and expect alot, but the lady who is there is very friendly. Just seems like its a little short staffed, when there are more than 5 tables it seems like the wait staff is flustered. The Vietnamese pancake is crunchy and plenty of tender meat!
