    I stumbled upon this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I came here looking for a color change. I showed reference pictures prior of starting the process. The whole thing took about 6 hours. Mind you I have very thing short hair. I should have realized this place was a red flag when I realized the lady was trying to work on two clients at the same time. Hair color didn't end up the the way I had asked for it but I wasn't complaining Just a little different than I was use too. I finished up and I payed and tipped my hairstylist. The color ended up being the least of my worries that night. When I arrived at home not long after I started feeling this burning sensation coming from my scalp where previously it had been sensitive while they had me under the blow dryer. Then when I ran my fingers through that area it felt stinky at the root of my hair. Almost like I had put gel on my roots. My head was throbbing at this point. I immediately texted my hairstylist Elisa about the burning sensation if she knew what was going on or what I should do. I took a closer look in the bathroom that when I realized I was Left with a sever scalp chemical burn. I sent her pictures. She replied "omg yes, give me a couple minutes I'm just putting my baby down he's almost asleep." 2 hours late she replied to put aloe Vera and to get antibiotics cream plus ibuprofen for pain and swelling. I ended up taking a trip to the urgent care. Dr did say it was a chemical burn from the products they used. Elisa claims the product label says to apply to scalp. I just wanted to color my hair. Now I'm out here having to put creams and take pain medicine. My head was throbbing the whole weekend. I laid in bed crying about my head being burnt. Elisa's response was "it will heal in 3 days. It's been 2 weeks my head is still healing. When I started asking them for my money back. Elisa quickly started to find excuses instead of apologizing for her mistake and trying to fix it. First she claimed I probably have sensitive scalp that's probably why it happened. Then when I told her ima need my money back because it's not cool that she burned me. She told me she thinks I went home after wasting 6 hours of my day plus tipping her I still went home and put some type of box bleach and burned my own scalp. Like wtf!!!! Why would I go to a salon and tip and still go home and do shit to my hair. I'm not shitting money to waste that type of time plus money. If I really Wanted to change it I would have told her the moment I was there. Then she said my hair was very dark (dark brown) she claims it was black so maybe her eyesight is not the best. "We had to lift it to your desire." So why do I look more blond than the pictures I showed as reference. Like whattttt?? That was not my desire but I was okay with it. The whole issue was the burn. If she couldn't do the type of of color I wanted she could of just said so instead of trying to do something she wasn't capable of doing. I asked about baby lights she said she knew how to do them and at the end i was left with what she called "peek a boo highlights"??? I didn't care at the time the color was the least of my worries. The fact that she did things I didn't ask her to do. I was fine with it but then she starts to claim that it was my desire to have my hair like this. Like no it wasn't but what can I do. It was done already. I just wanted to run from that place when they finished. The whole weekend is passed and Elisa didn't want to contact the owner until Monday came and she finally told the owner what was going on. I didn't get a call from her until Wednesday. The Owner Serena apologized to me. She said she didn't know why Elisa was barley telling her what was going on. (Probably because she knew she Fucked up) Serena was there the whole time I was getting my hair done. She even helped Elisa. So she saw everything that Elisa did. She was 100% on my side. She said she knew Elisa shouldn't of had put me under the blow dryer that many times. She also thinks she didn't rinse me out good enough so that could of been the cause of it. She was so sorry and apologized to me. She offered free services but honestly I just wanted to get my money back and never return to this place. The owner Serena claimed she could only give me half of the money because Elisa just didn't want to give any money back. They ended up giving me the money back for the service but when I asked for tip back plus my medical bills too. They got upset and said they would give me the rest later and I never heard from them again. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I would never want for anyone to go through what I'm going through.

    I have been in search of a good hair stylist who listens and can help me achieve my goals. I went in to see Lisa Fils for a trim and color. I had shown her some examples of the balayage look I was going for. She has quite a few clients who have gotten this look before, and she was confident she could pull it off. My hair was about a 10n blonde, so there should have been no trouble getting darker roots and leaving the tips light. Unfortunately, after the first round of color, my entire hair came out a grey ash brown. And while it was beautiful, it was not at all what I wanted and I was pretty upset in the moment. I don't think I have ever mustered up courage to ask a stylist to change what they have done, but Lisa was so real and honest with me. I told her this is not even close to what I wanted and not even two toned in the slightest. She was very understanding, and after trimming my hair, we went in for another round of color. The second round was still completely off from what I wanted, but I liked it enough to keep it. I really was just going for a few shades darker than my natural color at the base, and having a an ashy blonde on the middle and ends. This look is much more dramatic, with a very dark base, and darker brown color, but at least it had the contrast I was looking for.

    Had my first appointment today with Ashly Slavin and she performed a miracle on my hair. It was a crazy copper color as a result of trying to strip old dark red out and I was miserable. I saw her reviews on here and FB and after talking to her knew she was the right lady for the job. She did an Olaplex treatment, covered the ugly copper with a beautiful dark brown that was very close to my natural hair color, and restored the light ombre/bayalage ends. She was half the price I paid elsewhere and she's a sweetheart too. She also fixed the harsh haircut I got which wasn't right for my type of hair so now it looks healthy and layered.

    Roxy Garvan has done my first haircut back when she first started cutting hair. Roxy is really good with children and kids haircuts. Now, 16 years later I still have my haircut by Roxy! she is amazing.

    Flakey place, never open. Lisa Coe set me an appointment and never showed up (then she had the audacity to try to charge me $25). GOOD LUCK

    I am very happy with my Brazilian blow out. Nicole did a great job! My hair was dry and unmanageable and now it's shiny and looks great!

After I paid the agreed amount, the stylist became upset because I didn't include the tip, I told her that I was out of cash would pay her later but she kept yelling at me and started cussing me and asked me to leave . These people don't understand that tips are earned with kindness and good service not by demanding, and I really didn't have cash so couldn't pay but promised her to come back again, but she was super mean, think before you go to this disgusting place! Might happen with you too! These people are psychos!! No humanity! Little bit about their salon! The salon appeared very unclean. Hair was left all over the floor, and the overall space did not feel maintained. I did not see tools like combs or scissors being cleaned between clients. At one point, the same scissors appeared to be used after a customer had a cut, without being sanitized. Staff did not appear to wash their hands between clients. The broom used for cleaning looked very dirty. The restroom did not have soap available and did not appear hygienic. The salon also had an unpleasant smell. Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor hygiene practices, and the way I was treated make this a place I would not recommend.

Watching her create this beautiful salon has been such a joy. If you're lucky enough to get on her books, you are truly blessed! Kendyll has also worked on my hair, and I'd highly recommend her as well. All of the stylists here do beautiful work. I don't have personal experience with the barbers, but after coming here for years, I've seen amazing work from them too. I should have asked about the price upfront, that's on me. But as a brand new client, it was a surprise to learn that my first cut is considered a more expensive 'styled cut' at $85, and only trims after this will be $55. My biggest suggestion is for them to make that difference super clear for new people so it's not a shock when you go to pay.
